A little girl had just trudged out of the Matron's office sniffling softly as she rubbed at her bottom,'I didn't do anything..it was just a little food fight..and it was Kana's fault! She started the whole thing, who would want eggs in their face...I just returned the gesture..',she thought to herself as she walked to her assigned room. It had twelve beds in it, and she was the one all the way at the end, it was never fair to her, people coming to adopt would always see the others first and she was always be the one never wanted. She was labeled Taiga the little trouble maker, but she was the one who always kept the other girls hopes up. Everyday she'd sit at the little piano they had and play as the others listened and they'd sing songs, only for the matron to tell her she was making noise, and not to touch it.

She sighed as she plopped on her bed watching the others play, for 'starting' the food fight she wasn't allowed to play with the others that day. Taiga had to stay in her room and clean it all up and with no help, staring at her pillow she buried her face into it crying softly for ten minutes before she wiped away the tears and got the mop starting on the floor pushing it slowly. An hour had passed and she was exhausted but she had to keep going, hearing a car outside she looked towards the window before sighing softly,"Probably another parent for the others...at least they'll get out of here..",she mumbled to herself before sniffling softly.

A black Mitsubishi pulls up to the modest orphanage in the country side. The engined cuts off and the door open and out steps a tall, nicely dressed wealthy gentleman, 26 of age. He takes in the nice spring weather before approaches the foor. He knocks a few times and waits a second before the matron answers. "Hello ma'am. My name is Takashi Kusanagi and I'm here to adopt a child." he introduces himself with a courtious bow.

She responds with a nod "Yes pleas come in." she steps to the side and holds the door open for him. He steps in and closes the door behind him. She then claps her hands and tells the children to line up. They did as she told albiet without some of them figiting nervously. Takashi looked at each child and while they all were cute they were either too old or too young.

"Hmm... I'm looking for a small girl who's around five or six." he specified.

The matron looked to see that Taiga was not lined up amongst them. "That little...! I'm very sorry sir but I do have a child that may suit you. Taiga! Get over here right now young lady!" she yelled in her direction. "I must warn you she is a trouble maker."

He raises an eye brow. "Is that so? I'll be the juge of that."

Taiga gasped hearing her name shouted, "Oh! I'm coming Ma'am! I was just cleaning like you asked! I'm sorry! I'm hurrying!", she said dropping the mop and ran down the corridors towards them before she slipped falling in front of both of them," Ow...Mmf...I'm okay...",she mumbled sitting up before looking down,"You needed something Ma'am?",she asked softly before muttering under her breath,"Like a makeover..".

The matron covers her face with her hand in embarrassment. She heard what she said and cleared her throat, restraining herself from doing something she would regret in front of a client. "Not this time Taiga, this gentleman is interested in adopting a child and you fit his desired age." she explained.

Takashi knelt down before the cute little girl. "Hello Taiga, I'm Takashi." he introduced with a warm smile. The matron leaves them alone and the rest of the kids go back to playing. "So she says you're a trouble maker hm? I find that hard to believe." he places a hand on her head and rubs gently.

Taiga frooze for a second before turning him in shock before her whole personality changed a bit,"Hello Mister um Sir!",she said happily before noticing everyone leaving and bounced slightly in excitement. When he knelt in front of her the girl grinned confidently enjoying the rubbing,"I'm not a troublemaker, I only help the other girls keep cheerful sir. And that mean old– um the Matron says I give trouble for doing that. But I don't really care what she says cause I'm gonna keep them happy.",she said nodding firmly. "But she sold our piano. And it wasn't very nice of her.", Taiga continued before looking into his eyes," Do you like pianos and music and singing sir?".

He listens to her and is very pleased with how she tries to make the other kids happy. "How very selfless of you. You're such a good girl." he praised. When asked about piano and music and singing he nods. "I do like music and singing and It just so happens I happen to have a piano at home among other musical instruments." he said.

She smiled as she was called a good girl feeling very comfortable with him now,"You have a piano? And other music stuff too! Oh!! I wanna see! But she'd probably never let me leave..",Taiga said softly sighing,"All the other girls got adopted. And I think I never am...",She said looking down again.

"What makes you say that? It's her job to give kids a better home and if she refuses to do said job then she shouldn't be allowed to take care of you." he said matter of factly. "Don't you worry. If you want to come home with me then it shall be done. I've been looking for a wonderful sweet little girl such as yourself to call my daughter and you are that sweet little girl." he poked her nose gently.

Her eyes sparkled as he spoke,"Me? You want me? Oh! Yes! I wanna come home with you sir! And play piano and sing!",Taiga said hugging him the best she could,"I'll be the bestest um daughter evers! I only have my plush bunny with me. I'll get it sir!",she said rushing off and grabbing her plush as an assistant got her into her best dress that she had, a pale green laced dress with a faded yellow bow and sandals. Soon she was rushing back,"Can we go um to your house sir? I wanna the piano!",Taiga said hopping up and down.

"Just a minute sweetheart, I gotta talk to the matron and sign some boring paper work." he said when she came. "You can go say goodby to the other kids while I handle this." he suggested before heading into her office. It took about twenty minutes or so, Takashi made sure he got through it all as fast and as thorough as possible. The matron had a relieved expression being rid of the trouble maker in her eyes. Takashi reemerges from the office. "Okay Taiga. Ready?" he called to her.
