Sarai nodded. The tears would not stop her hand, but she did not blame the little girl for them. She let loose another one, nodding as she did so.

"Instead of protecting the sanctity of this place, what did you do?"

Not waiting for an answer, she let down one, quite a bit harder then the rest. After all, the girl was supposed to be thinking about exactly what she had done wrong. Connecting the memory of some special pain to that would not hurt.

Rae jumped at the next smacks, whimpering and speaking a bit incoherently, "Six." She muttered and spoke, "I-I watched... I didn't know w-what to do." She said guiltily as the next smack landed, finally causing her to yelp and squirm a bit, "S-Seven."

Sarai's face continued to be impassive. She felt for the child. But it had to be done, and she had chosen this punishment herself. Another one landed, as strong as the last. She couldn't afford to back down.

"What should you have done?"

Sarai said, in an almost inquiring voice. She let off another one spank, and then began rubbing bit, making sure Rae retained feeling.

Sarai stopped suddenly, and landed the hardest one yet, the sound of it having a minor echo. She had felt Rae begin to relax. She could not allow that.

"Instead of doing your duty, who did you instead rely upon to do it for you?"

Sarai let loose another one, almost eactly the same as the last. They were closing on the end. The girl had realized her folly, and would soon end up at the natural conclusion of this.

Sarai sighed. That hadn't been what she was going for. It was true, but it was slightly disrespectful.

"So, do you have someone to apologize to? And keep counting. Those two did not count."

Sarai landed another spank, this one still harder. They were arriving at the end of this. Very soon, the little girl would either realize what she had to, or Sarai would get serious.

Sarai smiled, and nodded. She raised her hand one last time, stopping at the apex. This would be with her full strength.

"If you are ready for this to end, this will be the last one. After this, you should go apologize to Ashra in front of him, and pay whatever penance it takes to assuage the guilt you feel towards him."

Sarai said softly, the hand that she had not raised she brought across, clamping the girl's body in place.

"This one will hurt far, far more then the rest. Are you ready for this to end?"

Sinclare's demon ears twitched at what the girl had said. Halfling? And what was wrong with those. Nothing! They were jsut as good as any pure blood. In fact they were better then pure bloods. And Sinclare would prove it. He would take this spanking better then that angle had. Sincalre nodded, his mind set, and walked over to Ashra, giving him his hand.
