Lucy refrained from grumbling at that "best you can do" comment and ultimately cooperated. She was glad none of their girls were around to witness this. She knew she would probably never live it down, especially if Kris or Mint witnessed it. It wasn't her fault Daisy picked the one activity she couldn't bear stoically.

Before they were out of the mall, not only had Daisy bought enough clothing for herself to fill the back seat of the car, she'd bought a set of formal or stylish attire for half of their Pokemon. To make things even more chaotic, Rosa phoned Lucy as they got into the car.

The Pokemon were not incredibly happy that that meant they had to go back to their Pokeballs, and let Daisy know. Lucy did her best to hush them (though Abra kept sending her telekinetic messages about how unhappy he was) and went for her phone, seeing Misty's number on the screen. "Hello? Misty?"

Lucy rubbed the back of her neck, not knowing how to handle this from afar. "Tell them I told them to stop. And if they keep doing it... do something else for a while." It was the best advice she could give.

Rosa angrily disconnected the call. Immediately after, though, as Lucy pulled out of the parking lot, Daisy had to suffer through a call from Mr. Norris.

Daisy shut the phone off. "Apparently I forgot to tell him the girls were going away. He was screaming that I wasn't a Maker-fearing woman because Sakura had expected to see Serena today. I guess Serena forgot the date. He says if we don't want to he bothered with a girl who has a problem with her eyesight, we should be upfront about it. He also says he's quitting."
