Hogwarts: More Power Equals Responsibility

Snape just gave a small grimace not sure what to say, he still wasn’t the best with children after all these years of teaching. He made himself smile though as he looked at her. “My office is right outside the dorms. You will sleep with the other first year slytherins make nights,” Snape said.

“Okay,” Chole said, unsure what that meant, but just gave a nod not wanting to find out. The lady seemed pretty strict and she no interest in crossing her at least not at the moment. “So, I guess I should head up to my room on the seventh floor,” Chole said.

Sandy looked. “I see. But we can spent time together...sometimes?” She asked her guardian. It was still strange to have a father and she did want to bond more. Especially as their day in Diagon Alley was so fun!

“Are you sure? Is something bothering you my dear?” She asked noticing how distant she was

“Of course, I have a room for you within my office when you wish to sleep with me,” Snape said. “You’re always welcome,” He said as he brought the girl up the the slytherin dormitory. “. We need to get you in bed as you have your full first day of classes tomorrow,” He said.

“I’m good. Just need some rest and trying to get used to the new environment. Night,” Chole said as she headed over off the the seventh floor. “Wait what’s the password?” She asked her guardian.

Sandy followed Snape. She did smile as he mentioned the room. “Oh! Oh nice!” She was looking forward to the new day. “i can’t wait to see everything and to learn! And to make magic!” She was quite excited. “I..I don’t know if I can sleep.” She admitted.

“Very well.” McGonagall smiled and rubbed her shoulder. “My door is always open if you need me.” “Oh indeed. The password is Aries.”

Snape sighed at the excited child as he wasn’t used to this much excitement. Most students never showed him this kind of emotion because he was cold to most students after all and played favorited quite a bit. “Calm down child. It’s time for bed now go upstairs and rest for the night,” Snape said giving her a close hug.

Chole nodded as she went off upstairs to the tower. Obviously, the girl was very closed off and didn’t like to shoe her emotions almost ever, but she did sometimes here and there.

Sandy hugged Snape. She liked to it, as he never made any move that he wouldn’t like it. Though she knew he wouldn’t like it in public. “Thank you!” She mumbled and went up to the common room. Despite her excitement, Sandy was able to settle down and sleep in.

The other girls were mostly in bed and only a few talked before settling.

Snape let out a small smirk at the hug getting used to dealing with a child. Sandy would not be able to see the grin as Snape rarely smiled in classes or anywhere. He was very careful, so that no one could see it. He was glad to.l hug her here and not around people: Snape went off to his own studies and rest.

The next day Sandy got up and ready for the day. She was eager to see what would come! She went up to the Great Hall and looked out for Snape or the girl she met yesterday. Maybe today she was a bit more talkative.

Chole has slept well and enjoyed small talk with her new housemates. She went down to breakfast ready to start this adventure and no longer being as grumpy as last night. It was a new adventure, so she needed to keep her eyes open and prepare herself for the world. She noticed Sandy as she walked in to the great hall. “Good morning, how are you?” She asked.

“Oh hello there! I’m good. Quite excited. Maybe we’ll have a few lessons together? I was told the houses get mixed there.” She did peek in to see if Snape was already there.
