Anime OTK News Information on the latest comings and goings at Anime OTK

Want to get rid of the annoying adverts? The answer is simple. There are 4 levels of advertising on AnimeOTK:

Level 1: (Your Level, guests and members with 0-9 posts) has maximum advertising.
Level 2: (A user with 10 or more posts who has been a member over two weeks) have vastly reduced advertising (including removal of the large full screen closable adverts)
Level 3: (A member who has been registered over a month and has over 50 posts, or has a special account like "artist" or "writer" sees minimal advertising.
Level 4: (VIP Donators) receive no advertising.
All donators of $10 or more will never see an advert on our site again!

Default HTTPS support

While animeotk.com has actually supported HTTPS for over 2 years (I had to rewrite some of the forum scripts), it was always using a self signed certificate, which gives users nasty error messages when they try to connect.

Well, no more! After many hours of tinkering with the letsencrypt beta, animeotk.com now has a fully working signed certificate.

So now you don't have to worry about all those people snooping on your wireless connection ;-)

Since there's a topic of what AOTK now supports, I was curious, does AOTK support android browsers? I haven't been able to use a lot of functionality on my default android browser including even commenting. Saw this post and figured it would be a good way to bring it up.

So tell me if I got this wrong. This means if someone uses this site on a router and someone tries to track activity on said router that they wont be able to tell anyone visited this site?

@razzy234 - Most likely the forum just needs an upgrade, which is more of AIs side. I don't come here on Android, so unsure of the problems.

@Spiral King - Yes and no. They won't be able to see what you are doing at all on the site, but they will know you came here for 2 reasons.
#1 You have to look up the IP address for the www.animeotk.com domain to know how to get to the server.
#2 HTTPS implemented a new extension known as Server Name Idenfitication (SNI) a while back so that multiple sites can have an https certificate run off of the same IP address. So during the HTTPS handshake between the client and the server, the client sends the domain it is trying to connect to to the server. There may be a way to turn this behavior off through the server side, but it is not something I have researched.
