Olive Oakley
Olive answered almost immediately, grinning at him and not seeming to realize she was in nothing but her bathing suit. "Hiya!" she chirped. "Are you ready? Oh, wait, I need my robe," she murmured, skittering back into the room for the long robe she'd gotten, and she re-emerged with it on, her hotel key in hand. "Here I am!"

Puck Tyron
Puck, starting up the car, thought for a moment. "Take-out would probably be best. There's a pizza place a few blocks from here that I can grab some to-go from, or we can head to a fast food joint. Pick one."

Jesse Hawthorne
If not for her childlike figure, the discomfort felt due to Jesse's shy temperament surely would've caused him to call off the swimming lessons after she appeared at the door. It seemed he'd forgotten to take this into account when he'd offered to teach the girl... He ought to have told her to buy a one-piece. Too late now, he supposed.
"Uh... Let's go, then." Blushing slightly, he uncomfortably trotted back to the car, opening her door for her before getting in. He managed to focus enough on the road in front of him to erase the mental image from his mind. It wasn't that he didn't like the female physique, or that his thoughts wandered to less-than-chaste topics when the idea of a woman came to mind. Jesse was just... Old-fashioned (and a prude). If he had his way, it was likely that no one's ankles would be showing.
Before long they were at the river, and after he found a space to park he carried his duffel along with him and led the girl closer. The water was beautifully clear, slow-moving but ever-changing. The last red-orange rays of the sun rippled over the water as it set behind the cloak of the horizon, giving the river and the surrounding trees and land a warm, gently fading glow. Finding a spot along the bank to set their things, being sure to choose a spot where the items wouldn't get accidentally splashed, he took out their towels and set them on top of the duffel before stripping off his shirt and setting it beside the bag.
Jesse was somewhat toned, but certainly not overly-muscled. His arms had bulked up a bit from his hunting work, and he was lean, though not particularly impressive. The waterproofed bandage on his shoulder - which Jesse made sure to examine for anywhere that wasn't protected - was his most prominent feature, but various scars and faded bruises were scattered across his torso, one of the most noticeable being a set of clawmarks that wrapped around his side. Being so used to the marks, he thought little of them and proceeded into the water, wanting to check its temperature before inviting the girl in. It was warm from the day's sun. "It's nicer than I expected." Jesse observed honestly, beckoning her into the water with a wave of his hand.

"Pizza sounds good to me!" Ahh, pizza! Cheesy, greasy, delicous goodness! Humans had invented some of the most wonderful foods. They made things like pizza and then they wondered why demons preferred their world to Hell... Idiots. Not to mention the freely advertised boobies! In Hell, it was only the big-names who got all the lady breasts. The King and his loyal lackeys. Definitely not a no-name like himself! "Can we move to a state where Wal-Marts sell hookers? It'd be more convenient than finding one on the street. Probably safer, too. One-hundred percent herpes free, or your money back!"

Olive nodded quietly as they headed to the car, and she felt her eyes widen as she saw Jesse's chest. He'd been scarred so much before, and he was quite ripped – at least, compared to other people without shirts whom Olive had seen.
"It looks so pretty!" Olive said, setting her robe down beside Jesse's shirt. Then she carefully got herself into the water, immediately plunking herself beside Jesse and clinging to him in the water, despite its shallowness.

As Puck began to drive the car, she rolled her eyes. "Wal-Marts don't sell hookers anywhere, dumbass. They're only legal in Las Vegas, and I've never heard of any vampires there. And even if they did, I'm make sure we shopped somewhere else." Then she turned on the radio. Taylor Swift, no. Lady Gaga, no. She settled on something she didn't know the name of, but it had a nice rocky beat.
"What do you want on your pizza?" Puck asked, getting out of the car ten minutes later, when they pulled into the Little Caeser's parking lot. "Pepperoni or just cheese?"

He allowed her to cling to him despite the fact the water was only up to his waist. Gently wrapping an arm around her, he began to slowly move backwards until he was swimming in order to keep them afloat. It took little effort to hold up the scrawny teen's weight as he treaded the water with fast eggbeater kicks.
Keeping himself above water with just his lower half, his hands moved to hold onto her waist, which kept her from sinking. "Here, kick your legs like this." Switching to butterfly kicks for a moment, he soon swapped back for the asymmetrical egg beater motion. "Don't worry about your hands yet."

"They should, then! That'd be a good business scheme." With a cocky grin, he added, "I ought to work in marketing."
"Pepperoni's fine." Max responded, nodding his head as he followed behind her. He loved the spicy kick pepperoni had, and it complemented pizza well. Sausage was great, too, but not with pepperoni, as well. Looking up at the sign, he asked, "Never been here. Their pizza good?"

Olive, making sure to keep her hands on his shoulders, cautiously did as he asked, allowing her legs to go up in small, tenative butterfly kicks. "... Like this?" she asked, unsure of what he would say if she were wrong.

Puck ignored his comments, as she opened the door for herself and the demon as they went into the small pizza parlour. Parlour was a much better definition, however, since it was strictly for take-out. The signs above the counter told them about their ready0made pepperoni and cheese pizza, and their sides of cheese bread, crazy bread and spicy wings. Three awkward chairs were against the window near the door, and two see-through fridges held two-liters of various sodas.
"I think so," she said calmly, ordering two pepperoni pizzas. "You had it the other night, and I thought you enjoyed it, so..."

"Right." He said, nodding. Her dainty little kicks weren't going to be very helpful to her, however, so he added, "You'll need to do it faster to keep your head above the water, though." Jesse wondered how good her buoyancy was, or if she could stay afloat when it was questionable if she even needed to breath, considering she was a vampire and all.

"Ah, so it's good then." The parlor was just about what he'd expect; neatly organized fridges, and a menu that made him want everything on it. Bread sticks, cheese sticks, chicken wings, everything you'd figure was in a pizza joint. Except the smell of the building only made him feel hungrier.
After the pizzas and anything else she may've ordered was paid for, he carried their loot to the car for her. The delicious smell of cheese and pepperoni almost immediately filled the air once they were inside, and he was incredibly eager to get home and chow down.

Olive nodded and began to kick harder, at a more normal pace for a swimmer. She'd been worried about possibly hurting Jesse, but if he said for her to kick harder, she would do it. "Is this better?"

Puck sniffed the pizza happily as they went into the car. "Ohhh, that smells wonderful," she murmured, starting up the car. She couldn't wait to eat it as well! The cheese was delicious, the pepperoni spicy without being overly so, and there wasn't too much grease. It was perfection, as long as she was concerned.
When they got back to the apartment, Puck took the pizzas while reminding the demon to pick up the rest of the bags ("I'll sort through all the clothes later."), and they headed up to her apartment. She greeted Omelette happily, and she set the pizza down on the counter.

Once she'd begun kicking harder, he shifted to simple breast stroke kicks to prevent getting in her way. "Yeah. Now move your arms like this." As she was holding onto his shoulders, he let go of her waist and moved his arms in the water, sliding them back and forth just under the river's surface, his hands cupping the water. After he demonstrated, his grip returned to her waist, holding her up so she could practice the motion without fear of sinking.

Doing as he was told, Maxwell followed behind the Huntress with their shopping bags in tow, managing to carry all of them at once by looping any bags with handles onto his arms. After lowering the bags onto the floor beside the couch, he immediately pulled out the little puppy he'd picked out from Wal-Mart. Without giving the pup any alert to the toy, he simply set it down on the floor and trotted into the kitchen, waiting to see what Omelette to do and getting to his pizza - which was, of course, delicious.

She nodded a little, before she carefully let go of the hunter's shoulders. To be honest, this swimming lesson was making her quite nervous, and when she was nervous, she tended to do badly. (She knew this from experience.) Not to mention, when she let go of him, even though his hands were still on her waist, she didn't feel as safe. Obeying his instructions, she laid her hands under the water, mimicking his motions, and continued the kicking after a short pause.
"Is... is this correct, Jesse?" she asked carefully. She could feel herself growing more and more nervous in the water. She knew that, when little kids learned to swim, they had the little boules on their arms, so they didn't sink, and - now that she thought on it - it probably would've been smart for her to have bought herself a life-jacket.

Puck Tyron
Grabbing herself a plate, Puck took three slices from the same pizza (she'd gotten two pizzas, after, because she was sure they could both eat one on their own), and watched with a small grin on her face as Omelette eventually took notice of the new puppy in the room, waddled over it, and began to sniff it all over.
When he seemed satisfied that it wasn't going to move, he gave his owner a look that clearly said, Wasn't I good enough for you to only have one? She stroked his head, and he grinned at her, and he shuffled back over to the stuffed plush and nudged it around with his nose and foot. It would probably take him a few more hours to realize it was a toy, but that was Omelette: silly and innocent.
"Alright," she said to the demon, making sure that she swallowed her food before continuing, "I'm going to lend you one of my extra duffle bags to keep your stuff in, and it's your responsibility to make sure your clothes are clean, and you have everything when we leave on trips... If you need anything, like deodorant or toothpaste when it runs out, let me know, and I'll get you some. But if you stop cleaning your clothes, or you lose them all because you don't like them anymore or something, we're going to have a problem. Do you understand?"

He nodded to the girl, although he held her one-handed for a moment to straighten the angle of her left shoulder. Proper form was important; without it, it wasn't too hard to pull something while making one's way through the water. Holding onto her with both hands again, he softly encouraged her, "That's good, keep going. After you've gotten used to it and can keep a steady pace, you can try it on your own."
He wasn't used to people enough to be able to sense the girl's growing nervousness. The blue-eyed boy was too focused on being sure Olive could properly tread water, but even if this wasn't the case he was still far too absentminded to figure it out on his own. It wasn't apathy, just him being carelessly inobservant - he had a keen eye for detail during hunting jobs, but it took obvious, and perhaps melodramatic, displays for him to recognize any type of emotion.

As he scarfed down his first two slices of pizza (both of which were doused with hot sauce, of course), and then moved onto his third, he watched with amusement as the dog sniffed at the toy, stifling a snicker every now and then as Omelette's wet nose prodded the fake animal. It was sweet, really, how he didn't understand it was a fake! And that adorable expression that made him look as if he felt unwanted was heart wrenching! Maxwell wanted to just scoop him up and give him a hug...
Of course, he'd likely never admit to such thoughts, if anyone asked.
His attention snapped to Puck when she spoke up, eying her soft looking neck as she swallowed her food. Rolling his eyes at her statement, he groaned, "Yes, Mom." Immediately afterwards he bit off another large chunk of his pizza slice. Damn, the Huntress was so demeaning all the time! Any outsider could easily see that it was warranted, given his childish and mischievous behavior, but he was too stubborn to see this, and thus hated being talked to like the little kid he acted like.
