"Yes, it hurts. But, it doesn't injure you, and there's some level of comfort afterwards. Harsh at first, but it's only to make sure you remember to be good, respectful children." He explains, then looks at the werewolf.

"Is there something you wanted to say, young man?"

The werewolf's ears perked up before shaking his head. "No, I'm just talking to myself about personal things." Then he looked the guy in the eye. "That I don't want to share." He added, showing his distaste in being asked to share any feelings.

"Oh...okay. I guess we should try to stay away from that." Said the harpy with a light frown. Although, considering her curiosity, she'd probably try to get herself paddled and regret it very much later on. Especially if she was given corner time with that or forced to sit back down despite how sore she was.

"Um...what are you goings to teaching us in this class?" Asked the Kobold. From the sounds of it, her speech wasn't all the great. That's probably why she was sent there other than the main reason.

"Well, first off, let's start with English, and mix in some introductions." Gilbert stated, indicating to a box on the ground near his desk.

"I'd like everybody to come up and take a small chalk board, and a piece of chalk. Then, return to your seats." He explained, opening the lid of the box, and stepping aside for the students to come up and get their supplies.

And the three kids did as they said, although the harpy seemed to have some trouble with her chalk as holding it in her 'hands' was somewhat difficult due to her 'hands' only having this single claw to use. Eventually, she let out an irritated huff before simply holding it in her mouth and heading back to her desk. Seeing the harpy with chalk in her mouth did make the kobold giggled like the child she was while the werewolf gave her this disappointed look before they all sat back down.

"Seventeen, don't laugh if your classmate is having difficulties." Gilbert told her, before looking at the class as a whole, and explaining further.

"Now, I want you guys to chose a name you've heard, that you'd like me to refer to you as, so that I won't be calling you numbers for the remainder of this class." He informed them, really wanting to get to know these kids.

"Oh...um...sorry?" She said, not sounding sure of herself as she sat there. She wasn't used to the word sorry, so using it was a little new to her. Although she felt as if she had said the right thing.

"Why do you care about having names? If anything, it shouldn't be that big of a deal to you considering we're not going to be with you for all that long." Stated the werewolf with his arms crossed in his chair. Now he was revealing his true colors a little bit.

"On the contrary, I'll be with you all for quite some time actually. I'm going to be building a bond with all of you, so that I may teach you better." Gilbert replied to the werewolf's statement.

"Also, may I ask that you sit up in your seat, since you're in the front row?" Gilbert tacked on quickly, wanting to see how compliant he was going to be with this.

Instead, the boy just let out a huff. "And why should I sit up? There's nothing wrong with me staying down. It would hardly make a difference if I sat up..." He muttered as he continued to slump in his seat without another word of defiance as he began to just glare at the guy, not thinking he would get anything bad out of this.

"I'll ask you one more time, sit up. Right now, you're supposed to listen to me since I'm the one running the classroom. I don't wish to punish you, but if you continue to disobey me, I will." Gilbert explained in a calm voice, but it certainly seemed more firm now, as he walked over, and started down at the boy.

The boy glared up at him for a moment before eventually sitting up in his chair with a growl. Crossing his arms on his desk and looking away from him, he said, "There, I sat up in my chair, now can you please back off? You're making me nervous..."

While that happened, the kobold could be heard giggling again at the boy, which got her a short glare from the werewolf, which she ignored by sticking her tongue out at him, causing him to grumble. "Why did I have to be put in the front of the room?"
