Insurgence (for BaldKing)

The Justice League - a group of superhumans formed to protect all of humanity, bring justice to the evils of the universe, and watch over all of earth - was in shambles. Superman, it’s faithful leader, was gone; banished to the Phantom Zone after a failed attempt at taking over the earth for his own wayward intentions. Shazam was dead, and Green Arrow was a shadow of his former self from a different dimension after this universe’s Oliver Queen was killed in cold blood.

Diana Prince knew a thing or two about losing her way during the days of the regime. Clark was gone, and in his place, his cousin, Kara Zor-El, stood for what he used to; truth, justice and peace. At some point in time, Wonder Woman stood for those same virtues; but not since Clark was defeated and she was sent to Oa for conviction. After a thorough trial, she was judged by a jury of her peers to not be safe to let walk alone, and so she must stay inside heavily restricted areas overseen by other heroes until her punishment expired.

So she was. Where Metropolis used to be now stood a new city, and Diana Prince had decided - for old time’s sake - to try donning her old costume again and winning back the public’s trust. First, though, she’d need to train. So that’s how she found herself out in the nearby forest, shield in one hand, sword in the other as her boomerang-like tiara flew back into her palm so she could mount it back on her head.

“Hm…” Wonder Woman muttered to herself. “...I will be back on my feet soon enough.”

After the huge change to the universe they were in, Supergirl became the new symbol of justice and peace. Therefore she was assigned to oversee the convicted heroes and heroines to prevent them to cause trouble again, and she was allowed to use any method to keep them in track. Supergirl likes to settle things quickly, so the punishment she chose the most, were spankings.

This day, Kara was patrolling the city by birds-eye view, and suddenly she saw movements around the outskirts, coming from the forest. She immediately headed there for further investigations.

Never-the-wiser that one of the two remaining Kryptonians surveyed nearby, Wonder Woman didn’t mind making quite a racket as she drew her sword in hand. “Hm!” She grunted while driving forward, slicing through the air and appearing on the other side of a tall tree in the blink of an eye. The forest went still…

...and after a short time, that tree would timber over with an earth-quaking ‘THUMP!’ as it hit the forest floor - more than enough sound for a Kryptonian’s ear to detect - as Diana stood up and resheathed her sword.

When Supergirl got closer she immediately recognized the body of Diana. "what is this girl trying to do?" Kara decided not to disturb and just hide and watch how things would go. After the huge swing that instant removed the tree, Kara decided it was time to stop the girl.

"Hey you! Diana right? What the hell were you thinking? Sneaking out at working hours, possessing dangerous weapon, and damaging public property? I think you need a lesson!" Supergirl said as she stepped forward to grab Wonder Woman's wrist.

Swordsmanship was a go. Her lasso was the next step. But before she could even get that chance, an unmistakable, nasally voice called out to her, and Diana rolled her eyes, turning around with her arms crossed as Supergirl approached.

“The Girl of Steel herself.” Wonder Woman hissed through her teeth. Any mortal man would tremble in the face of a member of the Super family, but she knew a thing or two about Kryptonians. That being their weakness to magic… something her weapons are awfully potent in.

So unlike most, Diana didn’t flinch when Kara reached forward. Instead, she took a step back, her eyes cutting up cynically at Kara as she tried. “Your cynicism offends me, child. Can’t you see I’m hurting no one? Leave me be.” She demanded.

Kara raised an eyebrow as she didn't think the heroine would react like this. Last time she saw her, Wonder Woman was still shocked by defeat and was totally obedient.

"You may be hurting no one, for now." Supergirl paused and said, "But it was my job to stop any violence happening, AND those that are going to happen." she grinned.

As she grabbed Diana's wrist she pulled her and tried to trip her, "What do you say I give you a lesson?"

Pulled roughly to her feet, Diana glared into the eyes of her harasser, not one to be shaken so easily. To try and pull her arm out of a Kryptonian grip was a vain effort, but she had a trick or two up her sleeve - so instead, Diana brought her other arm up and smashed her two bracelets together, a resulting shockwave making an explosive sound loud enough to deafen both women as Wonder Woman slipped free!

‘Clark wouldn’t have let go so easily.’ Wonder Woman thought rather cynically to herself as she straightened up, arms up and ready for a fight. “Disrespectful brat… my life of wrong-doing is behind me. But if you don’t leave me be…” She mumbled, her hands equipping and pulling free her sword from it’s sheath and her shield from her back before she banged the two together like a war drum.

“I can hardly be blamed for what happens to you.” She hissed.

“Aargh!” Kara growled as the Wonder Woman escaped her grab, she got even more furious when Diana compared her with the Superman. “I’m just as strong as him, how dare you....” she said in anger.

Seeing Diana in her fighting stance, Kara went into her combat mode too. “Oh is that so? I guess we’ll find out after I defeat you and spank you like a baby!” She tainted the Wonder Woman.
