You keep cutting yourself down for being a "mixed-blood" and impure, even though I think thats WAY cool, since you have a SPECIAL connection to the human and Daemonic worlds: you belong to BOTH! And I don't get what your use by Special Missions is connected to your condition of a "mixed breed"; I guess it's because you saw they accepted you for who you are. But maybe they were just USING you!. . . . You have a family now that loves you and accepts you AS YOU ARE--unconditionally! We've taken the place of the Special Missions Corps!. . . . And you keep saying that people don't accept you cause you're not a "pure-blood." But I think you're using that as a crutch. You're a cool guy, Inu! You've had a lot of adventures--not a good idea, but it's done and no one can change it. Lots of kids, I've heard from mom AND Kogame think that your totally a secret agent--and I don't need to tell you how HOT that is to little--and big--girls think that is! And guys, too! Maybe if you'd come out of that goddam shell you've built around yourself of just repeating the same things as your excuses, we could help you not only to gain acceptance when you go to PS, but also win real friends! Kogame's game of "school" is a really good idea for you to find guys and girls that are "in for it" as much as you are; you'd make a few friends there! AND I always have your back bro--my friends and me! WE'LL take care of those bullies--and Kogame's gonna whip their asses and have 'em expelled! So that is something to look forward to! And mom--well, she's the boss of the village and I think she has the power to fire and replace any faculty member that's prejudice for you, and she can talk the school bosses into lessening, or even throwing out their harsh action of expulsion for transformation--or even throwing out any punishment for it, since, after all, you're just a gentle pup!"

Yeah, Inu, you've had problems. But they're disappearing now. Your old excuses aren't gonna hold much weight any more, not with our support. So, get rid of just using your old "excuses" for your past; like I said come out of your shell; don't be afraid to tell the truth in PLAIN LANGUAGE, no repeats of what you said, no evasive language, no hidden truths. I think if you tried to be accepted by the kids, you WOULD be! Pretty damn soon all those bullies at school will become ghosts: they'll be kicked out, and they won't be able to bother you anymore, and the guys and girls that followed 'em, well, they won't have anyone to follow! THAT'LL be your chance swoop in and become one of the most popular guys at school, both cause you were a secret agent--you don't have to say what you did or who you worked for; you can say it's for security reasons--AND for thevery thing that you thought ALL of the kids believed when it was just the leading bullies--the fact that you ARE a mixed breed, that you have equal access to both the human world AND the animal / daemonic world; and don't you think that WOLVES, who can be pretty stand-offish, even exclusive, and really don't care all that much for human guys who can turn into a pup of a different species--realy breed--from them--don't you think if you're accepted by them you'll be accepted by humans too? I know, I know, a lot of people think humanity is an exclusive club, but can't you use the same charm on THEM as you did with wolves? They took you in when you were just a mite--but THAT doesn't mean that all wolves would have accepted you, so you would have had to do some work to win thes guys to your side! And if you're looking for a PARALLEL example of first acceptance into the HUMA world, you don't have to have to look any farther than the nose on your face! ME! I'M your older brother! I'LL take care of you, and I'll teach you how to take care of yourself! I don't care WHAT you are, purblood or mixedbreed, your MY brother! I'M the guy to turn to when you have problems that you just can't handle! I LOVE YOU,DUDE!--You're my little brother! I'll see to your well-being. But your family, made up of people who love you and accept you regardless of your--your, well, I guess, "race" is also there for you, and they wanna love you and take care of you! And"--Naruto said, blushing, because Tsunade had warned him against displaying his feisty, fighting temper around the house, or anywhere else when she heard about it and had ignored more peaceful means of solving disputes with someone else--"well, I guess I'm STILL learning, and'll probably be taught a few more lessons by mom! Yeah, Kagome was hard on you! She may have been TOO hard! Well, I'M HER big brother , too! And if I ever think she's TOO hard on you, like she was on you today, well, I'll whip her butt with the leather strap, outside and naked! She'll learn NOT to be too hard on you--but she'll always be allowed to bust you when you deserve it!

Naruto concludes, very tired, yawning wide himself, shaking his head to wake up. "I haven't decided WHAT I'm gonna do with Kogame; I may just leave her to mom; she LOOKS sweet, and never doubt that she loves you more than anyone! But she can be as wild as I am, and there's no guarantee that I can easily whip her but--but I CAN!.. . . .But, Inu, I HAVE decided what I'm gonna do with you tomorrow night--and I think you know what it'll be. Inu, ya gotta start tellin' all of the truth about stuff--all of it important stuff!--about yourself and things you've done whenever ANY of us, including Kogame cause she's moe mature than you and she's gonna learn the proper way of punishing you, AND she's a protector of you who lves you a whole lot --just like me, mom and dad do! I think you love her and the rest of us--even though I'm pretty sure you love dad the most, which is fine and I'm not jealos; but with love comes respect and obedience, and that includes telling the truth--everything and none of it hidden by repetition or vague language! Ya gotta speak plainly! If you do, we can help you, but if you don't, your just gonna keep yourself isolated from us, your family--a REAL family! Not just foster parents or nice guys that looked after you when you were in Special Services! No, this time you're in a real family, with a mom --a real one, a blood mom, and dad, Kagome, and me--we're ALL related to you: in love! Anyway, Inu, your not the only one who falls under my authority! And if I ever hear that Kagome straps you naked again, or if she acts arbitrarily--like a little dictator--to you, I'll whip her bare butt no matter HOW much effort I have to put into it! Like I say, I have your back! I'm not gonna undermine your sister's disciplinary authority of you; I'M just gonna make sure she doesn't go too far! And, like I said, I may bust her for her --over-doing it--on you today; I haven't decided--and I won't go against any of mom's wishes! But InuYasha, I've got pretty much full authority over you!"

Naruto had been speaking to Inu in the dark; there was enough light for him to tell Inu was still awake and listening closely; but the darkness did nothing--obviously--to alleve Naruto's tiredness, near exhaustion, and his intense--effective--monologue to Inu made him all the more worn, so, without telling Inu what his plans for the younger boy at bedtime tomorrow night, but trusting that his little brother got the message, Naruto abruptly said to Inu, "Good night, bro, I love you!" And went almost directly to sleep.

Inuyasha drifted off into a deep sleep, secured in the knowledge of his brother's feelings. It was the sort that wasn't going to be easy to wake from on his own. But he slept through the night and woke up later than he normally did the next morning...... Something that was rare for him as the group who raised him had allowed him to sleep in after missions if he didn't have school. Seemingly too late for the decided extended run to make up for the time he lost the prior morning due to his surprise meeting Kagome.............

Naruto woke up a little earlier than Inu and Kagome, and he found Tsunade in the kitchen making breakfast. He had not dressed yet, because he wanted to rush to talk to his new mom alone. "Mom, can I talk to you for a minute, before Inu and Kagome get up? It's pretty private, and pretty important."

"Of course, son," she responded. "What's on your mind?"

"Well," Naruto began,"I think Inu needs anouther sound strapping. I'm trying to get him to speak in planer language: not figurative or mystical, not metaphorical. It seems to me that this is the way that he can hide the truth. He may also be telling us lies that are hidden behind stuff that sounds true. Anyway, this leads to a lot of confusion on our part; in fact sometimes we know less about what Inu has been saying than we did before he "explained himself.. . . . Also, Inu has the tendency to repeat himself. I ask him different questions, and he comes up with an identical answer to the one he gave before, even though I have made the questions different. Anyway, it seems to me that these answers are irrelevant to the questions. . . . I want to strap him for lying, and I think he still needs to be whipped for volunteering to go on really dangerous missions when he was still young and small; they didn't send me on missions of any kind until I was at least 12, and then more regularly when I had left the academy and mastered martial arts, when I was about thirteen, and I turned 13 not all that long ago. Finally, I want him to know that I'm his older brother. I'll take care of him when were together; like I keep saying I'll always have his back when he's in trouble or bothered by bulies. But I also want him to know that taking care of him is spanking him--strapping him--when he does something stupid or puts himself or even other people in danger. I want him to know that when just he and I are together, I'm in charge of him, and I'm gonna whip his bare butt if he gets out of line. . . . . I'm planning to do it at bedtime tonight. Do you have any objections?" Naruto had spoken in the plainest, most grammatically correct language to Tsunade, so that she would know exactly what he was saying.

Tsunade responded, "Naruto, you are InuYasha's big brother, and you have charge of him either when he is not honest or straightforeard when you've asked him direct, impotant questions. I've noticed his "figurative" language too, and I'm not happy with it.. . . . Inu needs to know also that when you two are alone together for whatever reason and he misbehaves or is disobedient, when you're alone with him in your room and for some reason disobeys you or otherwise misbehaves, or while you are teaching him martial arts and he deliberately disobeys you or is not couteous to you, his master; you have authority to thrash him. You have total control of his discipline during martial arts training, but on other occasions more limited--don't over-do it.. . . . As far as thrashing him tonight when you two are alone together in your room: yes, you may do so. Of course strap him soundly with as many lashes as you think he deserves. . . . I approve of you disciplining Inu when you are alone together and he deserves it, and certainly during martial arts training. . . . By the way, Naruto, your disciplining of Inu when necessary--sometimes even when your father or I are at home but kind of unavailable, will be a great help to us both. YOU are the chief disciplinarian of Inu during the absence of me or your dad, and that you always take precedence over Kogame in this matter. You can also prevent her from spanking her if you find her decision is unjust, or if she tries to spank him naked.. . . . However, since you're not going to train him until the fall, and school doesn't start until the same time, I am going to force him, even if I have to use a switch on him to get him to do it, to "play school" with Kogame and her friends; the game starts on Monday, and goes on for about three or four hours Mon.-Fri. It will re-train him in scholstic discipline, school work, listening to Kogame as the teacher, taking tests, being hairbrushed by her--for real--for low marks based on lack of study and failure to do homework. She will also paddle him, and other students, for talking or playing in class. . . . All this may sound pretty tough, but the game is pretty popular, and a good number of kids are there: bullies are immediately caned and expelled, so I think Inu will have a shot at making lasting friends there. . . . Any "persuasion"--strapping--you can give Inu to motivate him to take part in this game would also help me. Like I said, it's a hard game to play--and Kagome, as you've noticed, can be somewhat arbitrary--there are a lot of kids that Inu can make friends with there. . . . I'm doing it for his own good."

"Sure, mom," Naruto answered, I'LL make him go, even if I have to drag him there and strap his bare butt on the way. . . . " Then Naruto changed the subject a little bit, though it was related to what he had said before. "Now, about Kagome and her treatment of Inu yesterday. . . . It seems to me that she went way overboard in her punishment of Inu yesterday--fighting him, practically, to take off all his clothes, he struggling with her to at least keep his shirt on, maybe thrashing him too hard so that he had to change into his puppy form after it was over and run back into his room as fast as he could so he could whine in private. . . . I'm asking permission to treat Kagome when she gets up just like she trated Inu yesterday. I want to take her outside, make her cut a good switch, strip her naked--all outside--and give her the thrashing of her life, so that at least she'll have an idea of what Inu felt like yesterday, and teach her that she can't do that anymore. She'll have a free hand in brushing Naruto during her game, as long as she doesn't do it to him while he's naked.. . . . Also, she's pretty arbitrary, kind of dictatorial in her position as a member of the prosecution staff at SC, and has hauled kids in to be tried and caned for a lot of reasons--including what she thinks is "disrespect" of her and her office. Her plan to punish bullies is fine, but now most of the kids she has tried aren't bullies; a lot of them aren't really bad kids and can be let off with a warning--but ALL of the kids she's "summoned" for trial so far--except for bullies--have offended her personally, and she's persuaded the Council to have them caned. . . . Anyway, I heard about all this from guys who have seen her in action or even felt its effects personally, after I met her and wanted to find out about her. A lot of kids say she's a good, nice girl and she has a lot of friends; but she has a bad temper and can be a little tyrant sometimes. I WON'T have her being arbitrary, too strict, or unfair to InuYasha, and I think I should teach her a lesson: punishment for how she treated Inu yesterday: and I believe he had EARNED a licking from her, but I also believed she went too far and a sign of that was when he almost automatically turned into his shape as a pup and zoomed into his room--somehow even managing to shut the door, as a little puppy! So, I'll switch her good for that!. . . . Also, her punishment from me will serve as a warning: In future, BE CAREFUL WITH INU! Don't spank him just because she's mad at him, don't spank him for breaking one of her arbitrary--even unfair--rules; and don't spank him naked or so hard that it looks like he'll transform into a pup, maybe even run away for a while!. . . . On top of that, I wanna show her, as you say I am, Inu's big brother, in charge of his disciplne ahead of Kogame, and can override her anytime I catch her at being unfair, or too strict, with Inu.. . . . I KNOW she loves Inu a lot, and that she'll protect him and be good, nice with him, when she can. She just needs to learn her limitations in punishing Inu.. . . . Also, if it's all right with you, I would like to show her that I'M her big brother, too! And I can whip her butt when I KNOW she's deserved it, and not always in regard to Inu at all!. . . . Of course, all three of us are under your and dad's authority!"

Tsunade answered at once. "Right, Naruto. ALL three of you are under our discipline!. . . . And as for YOU, young man! If I EVER hear of your feistiness getting you into some kind of trouble, and that the trouble you had to begin with is caused by you, anyway! Or if I hear of you getting into fist fights with other kids, or even adults, just because they may say something you don't like or try to CORRECT you in some way! OR if you sass me or your father or are disrespectful and disobedient to us in some way, or if you otherwise misbehave in any way to us--or somewhere else--and be SURE I'll hear about it!--Rest assured that I'll pull down your pants and spank or paddle your bare bottom like it NEVER has been before--whether other people are present or not!. . . . You need a LOT of discipline, and you'll get it here! Is that clear, young man?"

Naruto blushed violently at Tsunade's admonition. He had not expected it, and in fact did not even EXPECT to be spanked by either of his parents. But chastened, Naruto lowered his head in great embarrassment and said, quietlt but earnestly--even in the short statement he made his voice cracking a little--"Yes, ma'am!"

But Tsunade had more to say. "Now, son, with regard to your request to punish Kagome naked, outside and with a switc, for BOTH of the reasons you have given, you have my unconditional permission. And, since you are HER big brother too, as you have said, you may spank her--also showing that you love and care about her, right?"

"Yes, ma'am!" Naruto responded, "definitely!"

"So," continued Tsunade, "You have authority over both Inu and Kagome, and as you asked and I agreed, you may take her outside and--perform--your brotherly duty. Just know that the only place in which you have absolute authority over Inu is during your martial arts training of him; otherwise, your discipline of the boy and girl is rather limited: it is granted by me--and I'm sure your dad will agree--and if your brother or sister believe you have spanked them unjustly, they can complain to me; and if I find they are right, down or off come YOUR pants!. . . . Now, I won't serve breakfast until after your punishment of Kagome. Go ahead and get dressed. I'm sure your brother and sister will be up soon."

"Yes, ma'am!" Naruto answered "--and thank you!"

When Naruto arrived at his and Inu's room, he found him just waking up, and he greeted him cheerily--though his face still blushed roses from his mom's stern warning to him. "Good morning, Inu! How did you sleep--how do you feel?" Naruto engaged in a little small talk with his brother; but soon he became serious, and because it was going to happen very soon, and because it involved him to a large extent, Naruto told his brother what he was going to do wit Kagome after breakfast. He had indicated to him the previous night what he might do, but now he told him flat out just what he was going to do. "Go ahead and get dressed, Inu; I want you to see the whole thing."

"Morning, I'm fine.... Better without a bugle sounding off....." Inuyasha said, curious of the blush. He did as told but showed what was his common nightwear: a tanktop and boxers. He then put on a theme t-shirt and pants for the day then followed. He wasn't sure what route Naruto would go with Kagome........

Inu, you NEED to know this: I don't like what Kagome did to you yesterday. Yeah, I think she was right to tan you, but first, I think she did it TOO hard, second she shouldn't have whipped you outside, third, and maybe most important, she shouldn't have stripped you totally, and fourth: she whipped you so hard yestersay, and her stripping of you was totally uncalled for--and these two combined made you turn into a hurt, scared pup and race away into your room, cut off from all of us so that you could whine in private: I'M gonna whip Kogame's tail outside, naked, with my raw-hide strap as hard as she did to you yesterday--so that she'll know never to spank you naked or TOO hard again, that her authority over you is limited, and that I am the Big Brother of both of you, and that I have not only disciplinary authority of you but also over HER. I'm whippin' her before breakfast, and I want you, mom an' dad to be outside to see it, and people who happen t' be in the area. I'll strap her as hard and long as she did you--but still, Inu, don't HATE Kagome! She loves you, she's being punished for how she handled you yesterday, and she won't do it again! An', I'm gonna MAKE yo "play school" with her and her friends, starting tomorrow, so you'll be ready for the grade appropriate for your age. Ya ready, yet?"

It was obvious that like their father warned; The pup Didn't agree with the given reasons for punishment. "I've got my doubts About Everything...... None of Them would let me play............. Before Inu left the room Naruto put his hand on his shoulder. "Hold on, Inu," he said conciliatorily, "I'm not gonna make yo do anything you don't wanna do--I've just decided. If ya don't wanna play in Kogame's school ya don't have to; I've decided you can do whatcha want. Do ya wanna keep doin' art projects? You've got all summer t'do em. And you an' I are gonna go on hikes pretty often, if ya want, an' I'll let ya transform--we jus' won't tell anyone. Maybe if we do it in the morning I can run with ya--if ya want! If ya don't want me to, if ya wanna be alone with your animal friends, or just alone, that's fine too! I'll letcha do this for two hours everyday, if ya want!--I have th' feelin' that it's somethin' you'd like t'do! At the end of two hours I'll come back an' pick you up, at a designated place--I know you'll be there Inu. I trust you.. . . . Now, will you trust me? Mom, dad, me--and Kagome, are all workin' for stuff that WE think is in your best interest. But, your family isn't God! You're kinda gettin old enough, I think, t' decide whatcha want for yourself, especially considering that life you lived before mom took ya home! Butch gotta know somethin' about us--even dad, I think, would agree wth me: InuYasha! You've been cheated, BIG time! Out of a regular, happy childhood! Yeah, I know, you're diff'rent fro everyone else. But that doesn't mean ya didn't deserve or "weren't good enough" t' be with at least a MOM who loves ya an' wants t' take care of ya! Y' know, I haven't had th' greates time when I was a kid, but YOU'VE been given kinda a second chance an', well, so have I! Also, you should no that mom MOURNED for ya! She didn't know what had happened to ya, whether you were alive ir dead! So, think about her a little bit too, INU! I KNOW ya like to put everyone else ahead of yourself! But let me tell ya! NOT everyone is even worth being put ahead of yourself! Th' one person ya gotta put ahead of yourself, if anyone--and believe me, I know: there are A LOT of selfish people out there who want ya t' put THEM over YOU!--but your mom! She's not one of 'em! So think of HER before ya think of yourself! She'd do anything for ya, Inu! Sure, she's lay down her life for ya! But did ya know she'd also kill for ya? The same goes for all three of th' rest of us! Now, like I said, your future is in your hands! But for right now your life is in mom's hands--in our hands! ALL three of us are gonna take care of ya! "Now, I got a couple of questions for ya. First of all, how does speaking infigurative language HELP people to understand yo. A lotta th' ones who use that kinda language are politicians, who lots of times have stuff they wanna hide, or embassadors who kinda like t' "embellish" th' truth, maybe like politicians who want tnings t' seem better than they are! You KNOW about guys who do that. You do it real well, too. I can see why you would'a used it before--I know you've had a lotta stuff t' hide, t' cover up, for th' benefit of th' guys ya served with an' for th' ones ya helped. But now? It's jus' not clear t' me how this mystery-metaphore talk is gonna HELP people understand ya better!

"One more thing, Inu," said Naruto, "About t' night: I dunno what's gonna happen between us. It may just be a talk, like we're havin' now. It might be somethin' more. But, InuYasha, even if I do--do somethin' more, then, it's jus' t' show ya that I love ya an' care about ya! i'm not doin' it jus' cause I'm your brother, that I'll help take care of ya, that I'll back ya up when ya get in trouble or if ya get bullied--sure, those are some of th' reasons! But. . . . well, if I do it, it'll also be for punishment: ya did take an awful big risk, well, at least on the (only!) two times I saw ya on missions; well, ya could'a died, an' Inu! You're jus' a little kid now! You were A LOT younger then! We want you here, safe with us! We want'ch t' be with your mom; you're --wow!--a huge comfort t' her right now! I KNOW dad WANTS a son! An' he couldn't ask for one better than you! Kagome is like your twin sister! Brothers are great, bu you'll have a lt o' fun with your sis--whatever games ya play with her! An' me! Well, I'm your BIG BROTHER, an' I never get tired of sayin' this: I've got your back!. . . . NOW! I got business with Kagome. You're welcome t' cout, but'cha don't have to. This is not between you and her. It's between her an' me."

Inuyasha went to his foot locker, pulling out A completed sketch pad. "This is what I mean..... Get flashes from when I was little, therapist saw how I'd go to a trance...... Put a page of sketch paper and then I'd draw what I was seeing. Had an anxiety attack before bed after Momma had-....." He said, handing over the volume. "Usually jogged the track that the base had Or by route, I'm an early riser due to the daily regiment.... Just grew up that way, not knowing any different....... So I usually had supervision In One way Or Another....... All I'm saying is that I Need Time....... Besides I have a little something to say that She Needs to hear anyway........." He added. He had a feeling that Naruto Didn't know about him when they were little. He also didn't know if his brother would still take him over his knee like he had been told, followed his big brother.

Before they left the room and after Naruto had returned InuYasha's sketchbook to him, the older boy told his brother, in wonder, "God, man! You're REALLY in touch with your innerself--your unconscious--even if you don't know it--or even, you think, anything--at the time you're drawing! Man! You're as much connected to the secret, hidden inside of your brain at least as much as I am! Ya GOTTA show your drawings to the family--they're WAY COOL, dude! Ya know, there MAY be nothin' I can teach ya about your inner-self that ya don't--inside--already know, or consciously find out! Maybe one of us can do for ya what your therapist did--or maybe--and THIS is totally awesome! You can do it by yourself!. . . . If ya haven't already done it, ya GOTTA show your journal t' mom an' dad! Inu! that is THE best artwork I've EVER seen! There's a whle heluvalot you can teach me about th' unconscious!

Now, Inu, it's time for me t' take care of Kagome. I already tol' mom an' dad they should come out for it, an' I think you should too! But I'm not gonna force ya. Jus' remember, she's gettin a busted but cause she really, REALLY hurt ya yesterday! You didn't even act that way when mom switched ya! An' she admitted to ya that she had done it under mistaken circumstances. But Kagome--well, I'm also gonna paddle her ass t' lay down th' law t' her! I'm HER older brother, too, an alot o' times I'm gonna be in charge of how she acts! I'm gonna put that little dictator--cause that's what she is--in her place! She CAN'T wale th' tar out o' you totally naked--she should have KNOWN better! And she CAN'T bet your butt so bad that ya gotta turn into a pup an' run away from her--an us!--as fast as ya can! Antway, she can't strap or belt ya jus' cause she's mad at ya! She's gotta have a whole lot better reason than that!. . . .
