The robed jedi guided Revan up to the landing pad, where a ship was already waiting for him. At the entrance to the ship stood Bastila Shan, the famous jedi knight who had captured Revan, and saved his life.

"She asked for this assignment." Master Darus said from behind him. "She's going to watch over him."

Halren jumped a little, surprised, before turning.

"I.... I see." The boy nodded, and looked back at Shan in awe.

"...I was just curious, Master... Darth... er... Lord Revan... he looked so different..."

"We were able to strip away the corruption from his body. It almost killed him." He said, turning the boy away from the ship. "Our part in his journey has ended."

Master Darus led Halren away. "Get something to eat, then it's straight to bed. We have important work to do tomarrow."

The boy sat in the dining hall, eating as much as he could - a growing boy was, after all, a hungry one - and training usually made the boy feel famished.

He wondered what tomorrow was going to bring... and what could be so important that he'd be asked to go straight to bed.

SLAM! Juhani, a padawan several years older then Halren, slammed her tray down next to him. "I can't believe this! My master says I still am not ready to be a jedi knight!" She said in queit anger, her feline features more pronounced.

"Relax, Juhani..." Halren suggested, still pensive. "Its not like you don't have time." The boy turned towards her. "Did he say why?"

The cathar fumed. "She, she says I let my temper get the better of me. I told Master Quatra that cathar feel strong passions, but she said I was only making excuses." Juhani started to eat, her sharp teeth quickly shredding the meat she had choosen.

After about a minute, she calmed slightly. "All the two of us seem to do is fight these days. Maybe it's the stress of the war."

Halren nodded a little. "Anger clouds the mind. ...don't be upset. Be thankful that she's honest with you: I somehow doubt any of us know better than a Master Jedi does."

The boy sipped at his drink, then turned a little, giving the cathar room to think - shifting so he could face his tray again, while still talking to her.

"All I've wanted since I was little was to be a jedi knight." Juhani said. "It's frustrating, like I can see the prize, but it continually moves out of my reach. And I feel like Master Quatra is the one moving it."

"We're learning more about the Force. Of course its moving further away! I mean, knowing what you know now... especially compared to what you used to know... it doesn't sound easy, does it?" Halren argued. It was so much easier to sound like you knew what you were talking about when it wasn't your own problem....
