The Jedi Code (Peeker)

"Carry your lightsaber with you." He instructed. Usually, padawan's had to get permission to carry their lightsaber from their master, the theory being they would be less likely to use the deadly weapon in anger.

[Peeker]

After their meditations, the boy followed his master... the lightsaber felt, as always, far heavier than it was.... knowing that the tool might be used in combat was frightening, to say the least: it made it feel far more dangerous, as though it might kill anyone...... it could, if Halren wasn't careful... and this made him nervous.

Relax. Master Darus is with you.... you can do this.

[Hrtofdrkns]

As they left the enclave, Master Darus patted Halren on the back. "It'll be alright. I'll be there with you."

The mandalorian encampment was really only a ring made out of their ships, with a few tents set up. Outside, three mandalorians stood in their blue armor and helmets.

"You had best turn around jedi..." One warned the master and padawan as they approached.

[Peeker]

Confident in his master's abilities, Halren made no motion nor expression at the man's warning. Instead he stood there, calmly, waiting for his Master to act.... thinking of nothing... reacting to nothing... only waiting....

"We have come to speak with your leader on behalf of the jedi council." Darus said calmly. Only someone who was force sensitive, like a jedi or sith, could have felt it when he reached into their minds to make his demand seem more resonable.

"We will take you to him." The first mandalorian said, giving a hand signil.

Behind them, the largest ship's cargo bay opened.

"Follow us." He said.

[Peeker]

Halren fought back a smile, amazed at his Master's skill, and followed him into the cargo bay.

Inside stood a mandalorian in red armor, studying topographical charts of Dantooine.

"Commander, these jedi wish to speak with you." The madalorian soldier said.

"Idiot!" The commander roared. "I said I was not to be disturbed!"

"But sir, I..."

The commander held up his hand, his order for silence obeyed.

"While it seems my men are nothing but weak-minded fools, you will not find me so easy to influence jedi." He taunted, walking towards them. He stood nearly half a foot taller then master Darus.

"We have come on behalf of the jedi council to ask you to cease your attacks on the people of Dantooine, and leave the planet immediatly." Master Darus said politely, calmly.

"And why would I do that?" The commander asked. "After all, I'm going to rule this planet soon. And after I enslave the farmers to build my new base, I'll have my revenge for the war. In the meantime, I'll add your lightsabers to my collection."

With that, the large man in red armor produced a blaster rifle as Master Darus drew his lightsaber, the blue beam flashing.

"Be on your guard Halren!" He called as the three manalorians in blue drew near the boy.

[Peeker]

The boy listened, and obeyed. There was no thought.

The lightsaber was out and guarding as the first blaster pistol shot rang out, ricocheting off of the boy's weapon into one of the other guards.

Halren backed away, prefering to react to the guards, rather than press the attack.

[Hrtofdrkns]

The two remaining mandalorian guards drew their swords, cortosis weave blades that could block a lighsaber.

After the first few shots, the commander threw his rifle aside and drew his sword, knowing enough from his war days that the rifle was utterly useless against a jedi of Darus' skill.

Master Darus kept one eye on Halren as he blocked and parried the commander's attacks. The mandalorian possed great strength, but Darus was quicker.

[Peeker]

Halren, seeing the blades, knew he had no choice but to keep his opponents off balance: he quickly dove into the fray, keeping in mind his defenses at all times, while dancing between the two warriors, hoping to keep them occupied so his Master could handle the commander.
