The redheaded girl's behavior was quite suspicious to the officer.

"Just looking around?" Jenny asked warily. "In a back alley? Why don't you step over here for a moment?"

Jenny dismounted her motorcycle and waited for the teenager to approach her. At least, she looked to be a teenager...

"Not yet," Jenny said firmly, telling the redheaded teenager that the officer was not about to leave. "Do you have an ID on you, by any chance?" Jenny asked. "A Pokedex... Anything?"

She folded her arms and gave Flannery a suspicious look.

"Uh..." mumbled Flannery, digging through her pockets, "Uh...here." She said, handing it to Jenny. It was a fake idea-a very convincing idea to the untrained. It said her real name and position, but said she was 21.

The officer looked over this card, and instantly recognized it as being from Hoenn. At a first glance, it certainly looked authentic. However, it soon became clear to the officer that this was probably a forgery. Jenny had heard Flannery's name, but she was certain that the Flannery that led a gym in Hoenn wasn't quite 21 yet.

"I see," Officer Jenny said, although she didn't return the identification to the trainer. "Gym Leader from Hoenn. Forgive me... But I don't remember there being a Gym Leader over there with all the... Attributions listed on this card. Is there anything you'd like to tell me?"

Flannery gulped, "N-no, officer. I-I assure you that e-everything's in order." -Shit! Caught! And worse, I lied! To a cop!- Flannery could feel dread consume her as she tried to calm down, heart racing and scratching her arm-even though it wasn't itchy.

Flannery's body language instantly gave her lie away to the trained officer. Of course, she couldn't be positive, but Jenny's guesses were normally on the mark.

"Flannery, I might as well tell you that I could do two things right now. I could take you in for underage drinking, or I could deal with you personally for lying to me," Jenny tucked the card away into her front pocket. "I don't think you'd like either outcome. But it's your choice."
