"Jamie, PLEASE!" Elesa was horrified that Jamie had noticed. That meant it was worse than she thought. But what was odd was that none of the weight had gone to her stomach. It had all gone to her hips. This made it relatively less conspicuous, but clearly not invisible. "'Starvation mode' is when your body holds on to the fat you have left when you're not eating enough. It's not when you gain weight."

If I keep gaining, my career is going to be in serious trouble. And I can't just stop eating like some of the other girls." That would be the most unhealthy thing she could do, by far. Besides, what kind of example would that set for Jamie?
