King of Bandit Jing?
Alright, here’s an obscure thought!
King of Bandit Jing. An obscure and surreal little anime with a great premise: the main character, Jing, is a teenaged thief, the self-proclaimed king of bandits, by virtue of being the last living descendant of a prolific crime family. We know this (outside of the manga telling us) because he carried around a crystallised image of his dead mother that he sometimes gazes rather wistfully at.
And to be honest, Jing is just a lovable but cocky little brat who gets himself into all kinds of perilous and life-threatening situations.
My idea: we introduce his father. There’s no mention of a father in the book or show, I say we make one up and really challenge whether Jing is the king of bandits…or just a lost little boy in need of a firm hand.
