Danielle was actually a little bit touched by Midnight's response. Boys had asked her to be faithful to only them before, but they hadn't always offered to return the favor. She hugged him and said, "OK, I agree to that, sir!" She knew that by necessity Midnight would change her as he was her only point of contact with this new world, but she hoped to also have some effect on him!

Danielle stopped breathing for about 3 seconds and just stared at Midnight, then she shook her head and cleared her throat. "Oh, uh, yeah! Of course. Love... that's good." She had no idea how to respond. No guy she'd been with had ever said, "Love" before. In fact, most were even a bit queasy about talking about committed relationships. But he planned to love her more? That sounded interesting and she liked that, but it was outside of her usual range of answers to respond to that.
