Life on the Nemesis (With LyonGirl)

"Soundwave, report." A sinister voice spoke evenly as a tall male, wearing a sleek, silver suit stood resolute at the berth of his vast Air Ship. The meeting with Optimus Prime had just finished, and after the treaty for peace was initially signed, the Decepticons and Autobots parted ways. The tall, burly man gazed vigorously at the lush planet before him. They were getting prepared to leave Earth, and take to the skies. Megatron ran a finger through his medium length, white hair, barely turning around to see the brunette who had lithely walked behind him.

Standing at an intimidating 6'1, Soundwave was just four inches shorter than the Decepticon War-Lord. Clad in a purple suit, the dark eyed male bowed politely before rising. The man hardly spoke, but when he did, his voice was somewhat mechanical in nature. Soundwave only spoke when he deemed it necessary."All units ready for take off, Lord Megatron."

"Good...good. We will start our expedition immediately, then."

Soundwave nodded, turning on his heel to make his rounds throughout the Nemesis.

"Ah, Soundwave?"

The brunette ceased in his movements. "Yes, Lord Megatron?"

"Have you seen that dastardly Starscream anywhere? I have papers that need filing."

"No, my liege."

"Bah...if you see him...tell him to report to me immediately."

Soundwave nodded his head, continuing his trek outside Megatron's lavish throne-room. He hoped the twins were staying out of trouble, though he figured it'd be wishful thinking on his part.

"I'm bored Frenzy!" A sixteen year old voice groaned, belonging to the short blond with a slight Brooklyn accent. "Can you believe Lord Megatron? Signing a stupid treaty with those Autobot dweebs?! You think he's growin' soft or somethin'?" Rumble sat beside his twin at the mess hall of the ship, idly placing his chin against his palm. "We had em right where we wanted em! Surely Megs could've--"

"That is enough, Rumble." The methodical voice of Soundwave resounded, and Rumble quickly sat up straight with a nervous expression on his face.

"U-uh, hey boss. I...We were juss--"

"Meandering aboard ship." Soundwave's face seemed unreadable, and although his tone was monotonous, the twins were around him long enough to realize he were displeased. "You both have assignments."

"Oh boy, like what boss? Do we get to shoot anythin'?"

"No. The halls need scrubbing. Cleaning supplies in custodian closet. Report back when finished." And that...was that. Soundwave turned to leave, though not before offering a warning glance, "Failure to comply will resort in punishment." And with that, he disappeared thought he corridors.

Rumble slumped with a pout, gazing at Frenzy with a weary expression. "Ya see!?Everyone's lost their minds! Instead of goin' on missions, we're cleanin' hallways!"

Starscream could not say he was too happy about the treaty between the Decepticons and Autobots, in fact, the thought of it made him want to retch. Once the treaty had been signed he went aboard The Nemesis and prepared for their departure, listening to the sound of his black, finely polished dress tap at the floor, mumbling angrily to himself as he did so. Once everything was in order, he walked off to the mirror, fixed his tie some, brushed his spiked, salt and pepper hair back and sighed.

"To think, Autobots and Decepticons at peace, bah, it's absurd." Starscream said, his voice a bit sinister, but not as deep as the Lord Megatron. "If it were my decision, those Autobots would be begging on their knees for mercy." He said, snickering devilishly to himself.


Frenzy sat beside his brother, listening to him whine and complain about the new outcome of the treaty, rolling his eyes some. "Rumble, if we were to 'have them where we wanted them' we wouldn't need a treaty, Lord Megatron would have already taken over." He pointed out, but his comment seemed to have fallen on deaf ears. Just like everyone else, he was not thrilled about the treaty, but it was Lord Megatron's orders and unless you had some form of a death wish, you obeyed.

He shook his head, his own blonde hair getting in his eyes and with a quick motion, brushed it away, but once the familiar mechanical voice of their master came, he quickly fixed his posture and looked up at him. A small smile came to his face when they were to have an assignment, maybe they would go back to earth and have a little fun, but frowned when it was simply a job to do chores. Frenzy had to agree with his brother at times, cleaning the halls was a horrible job to do, but he dare not say so in front of Soundwave. "Yes sir, we'll get it done." He said and once his master was gone and he was sure of it, he let out a sigh and stood up.

"There's no use in whining about it Rumble, it's time to clean and we'd both be smart to get it done now rather than later." Frenzy said as he stood up and headed to the custodial closet and went to get a mop.

Soundwave moved swiftly through the halls, his deep purple combat boots casually clicking against the floor. Now that he gave Rumble and Frenzy something to do, he once again clung onto the hope that they'd stay busied and out of everyone's way. Now, to look for the other troublesome one in their group; Starscream. As Soundwave moved, he passed by Knockout's office, watching as Breakdown left it. "Evening, Breakdown."

The hulking male had a towel over his shoulder, and by his appearance, he seemed inclined to exercise at the Nemesis' gym. The blue haired man titled his head in acknowledgement of the Third in Command's presence. "Evenin'."

"Have you seen Commander Starscream by any chance?"

"Pfft, you act like I go outta my way to see that bothersome guy. But no, I haven't. He's probably looking at himself or something."

Soundwave nodded his head, deciding Breakdown's response was indeed logical. "Please clean gym equipment when your exercise is complete."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah...."

Soundwave continued on his walk, stopping once he heard a familiar voice coming from Starscream's quarters. The silent soldier waited patiently for the Second in Command to stop speaking to himself, awaiting his reaction to the quiet brunette's presence behind him. "Commander Starscream, you have been summoned by Lord Megatron." He turned to leave, pausing to add, "You'd do well to keep your thoughts to yourself."

After that little tidbit of information, or rather, a warning, Soundwave once again disappeared from view.

"There's no use in whining about it Rumble, its time to clean and we'd both be smart to get it done now rather than later."

"Quit bein' such a baby! The boss ain't even around no more!" Rumble frowned, though he followed his sibling begrudgingly towards the custodian closet. "Ain't we much better than a couple of janitors? Why are we so underappreciated?" The blond complained, not realizing or caring that 'underappreciated' wasn't even a word. As the twins picked up cleaning supplies, Rumble noticed Starscream heading out of his chambers.

He scowled. "Screamer yelled at me today for playin' my music too loud, can ya believe that?" And then...a smirk found it's way onto his lips. "Ya know what...I think we should play a lil harmless prank on 'em. Whaddya think?"

Starscream couldn't help, but jump when Soundwave's voice broke his thoughts. "Soundwave! You really must learn to make some form of a noise rather than march around in silence hmm?" He said, fxing his hair, looking at the mirror to fix the single red streak. "Yes yes, I'll go to Lord Megatron right now." He said, before gulping. "I said that outloud?"

He groaned some, Soundwave could be such a bother and he rather liked him when he didn't talk. He sighed before, heading down the hall, fixing his grey suit in the process. He headed to Lord Megatron's chamber and smiled. "You wished to see me Lord Megatron?"

Frenzy frowned at his brother, never liking it when he mimicked him. "I know he's not here, but you and I, especially you knows how boss gets when we don't finish out work and he hasn't been one to make empty threats." He said as he went to work on cleaning like he was told. "Now we aren't janitors, Rumble but if Soundwave was to tell us to jump, we ask how high." He said, trying to give Rumble an example. "You do recall what happened last time, we went against his wishes?"

When he realized Rumble wasn't helping, Frenzy looked over to see him staring at Starscream and that could not end well. "Rumble..." Frenzy said, "...whatever you're thinking about, just get it out of your mind now." He said, hoping his brother would listen, but he couldn't help, but be curious on just what exactly his brother was up to.

"But, just out of curiosity though, what do you have in mind?"

"You wished to see me Lord Megatron?"

The larger male turned, his icy gaze now fixated upon his notorious Air Commander. "Why yes, Starscream." While Starscream wasn't the most trust-worthy on the team, nor the most liked, he was still a crucial asset that kept the Nemesis running smoothly. He was intelligent, cunning, and tactful--all of which were necessary to be in Megatron's favor. But, he was still a cowardly, arrogant, and disloyal member of the Decepticons, and those qualities Megatron could do without.

Many wondered why Megatron bothered to keep the SiC around, especially when Soundwave was far more compliant. It would forever be a mystery, as Megatron never revealed much about his thoughts on the matter.

Some may say Megatron may even fancy the commander, but it would never leave his lips.

"I need some papers that need to be filed." Ah yes, he loved giving the prideful man menial tasks such as those. "You can find them in your office, as I had them delivered by a grunt earlier. Once you're finished, report back to me. These are important documents, Starscream. All of which need to be properly identified if we're traversing the galaxy without issue. Do not disappoint me." And with a dismissive hand wave, Megatron turned around, facing away from the other male.

"You do recall what happened last time, we went against his wishes?"

Rumble bit his lip. "Don't remind me..." Ugh, they couldn't sit for a week! Soundwave wasn't the most tolerable when it came to disobedience. "But, that's only cause we was caught! This time I have a plan!"

Yes...Rumble had a proper plot up his baggy sleeve.

"Geez, yousa real mood-killer ya know that?" Rumble sighed, running a weary hand through his blond hair. Frenzy was always the more level-headed of the duo, but in all honestly, Rumble knew his brother better than anyone. He'd eventually agree with him...and all it took was about five seconds.

One....two....three...four....

"But, just out of curiosity though, what do you have in mind?"

"Awrite, glad to see youse on board! So, I noticed a few grunts goin' into Starscream's office earlier...they delivered some paper work I think. Ta mess with him--we should sneak in, and jumble 'em all up without him noticin'! From what I gathered, it's probably real important stuff too. Megatron'll have his head! It'll be hysterical." Rumble grinned with childish glee. "So first tings first...we wait for him to go into his office. Then--we distract him so he leaves! And once one of us distracts him, the other goes in and ruins his day. Whaddya think? Am I genius or what?"

Starscream scowled. Filing paperwork? What type of job was that for a Second in command, that was more of a simple job for Soundwave or TC, even those rowdy twins, but not him. "As you wish...Lord Megatron." The Second Commander said, the bitterness obvious in his voice as he gave a small bow and headed off, grumbling some.

"A second commander, ordered around like...like a grunt!" He said to himself. "One day I'll rule this ship and I assure you I will NOT be ordered around like this again." Starscream mumbled as he headed off to his office to get to work. Since Megatron decided on new disciplinary actions, he did try his best to do as he was told. Though when he did agree to the new rule, he had assumed it hadn't applied to him, but Megatron had made it clear that it applied to everyone.

Frenzy looked at his brother, thinking over his plan a bit. It was rather amusing to see Starscream whimper and beg when he was in trouble with Megatron since he wasn't known for being very discreet when dishing out a punishment. "Hmmm..That may actually work brother. I'll distract him, because I'm sure if you do, he'd suspect you were up to no good, but with me...everyone expects less."

He grabbed his mop and broom and headed off. "You get ready and I will get him distracted." With that, Franzy hurried off to Starscream's office, knocking softly on the door.

"Yes, yes! Who is is?" the elder bot called out, obviously annoyed. Frenzy walked in and nodded. "Soundwave ordered me to clean, I'll just sweep up and leave."

"Bah! Fine, make it quick I am very busy." He said, not paying the young boy much attention. Frenzy nodded and hurried to work. "Umm...Starscream? Once I am of age, I would like to be a Second of Command...is there anyway you could give me some advice, someone of your expertise could only have so much."

Starscream looked at the young decepticon and smirked. "Well but of course someone of course, I see you want to learn from a true leader and not that silent brute." He said as he quickly went on about being a commander.

"Hmmm..That may actually work brother. I'll distract him, because I'm sure if you do, he'd suspect you were up to no good, but with me...everyone expects less."

"Awrite, perfect!" Rumble then paused with a pout. "Wait, whaddya mean by that?"

He didn't have much time to complain about Frenzy's logic, as the plan was swiftly set in motion. With a nod, the blond moved hastily towards the neighboring corridor, hiding with ease as his twin knocked on Starscream's door. He gave him a thumbs up and a bold smirk, watching as Screamer predictably opened the door. With Frenzy now safely inside, Rumble agilely began to stealth his way closer.

'C'mon Frenzy...you got this...'

"Umm...Starscream? Once I am of age, I would like to be a Second of Command...is there anyway you could give me some advice, someone of your expertise could only have so much."

'Bingo.'

As expected, Starscream immediately started to prattle on and on, and Rumble had to contain his soft chuckle. Typical Starscream...

The smaller decepticon waited for the air commander to get so into his monologue, he left his papers completely unattended. That would be Rumble cue! The sure-footed teen tiptoed covertly towards the SiC's desk, immediately grabbing the documents. He began to jumble them as quickly as he could, being sure to keep it silent as possible. If there was one thing the 'silent brute' taught his interns, it was that being vigilant and noiseless proved far more effective when dealing with an adversary.

Finished with his task, Rumble gently placed the papers back on Starscream's desk.

'Mission accomplished!'

Rumble began to tiptoe behind the air commander, looking at Frenzy with triumph as Starscream droned on. The blond wasn't the most susceptible when it came to danger however, and instead of leaving, he started to make funny, mocking faces behind Starscream's back.

Frenzy was quickly beginning to regret his choices of asking the SiC about his position and his advice because it seemed as though he would literally go on FOREVER. In his opinion, Soundwave was more suited to be Lord Megatron ' s right hand instead of this arrogant, deceitful fool.

He pretended to listen to his rambling, looking past the man to see his brother, scrambling the papers about. Good, everything was going according to plan. He hoped his brother would go soon that way he could make up some form of an excuse and be on his way, but instead Rumble has decided it was the perfect time to goof off. Frenzy did his best to keep a straight face, but he couldn't help the small snickers escaping his lips at his brother's antics.

Starscream looked at the young boy, raising a suspicious eyebrow. "Am I amusing you Frenzy?" He asked firmly as he eyed the boy and shook his head in disapproval.

"N-no sir, I...I'm just remembering something Rumble told me earlier. It was very funny." He said as he looked at his brother. Starscream frowned some as he turned around, looking over to see the rowdy one of the duo making faces. "Of course." He grabbed both boys, leading them out of his office. "Both of you get out of here before I get Soundwave to deal with you!" He said and slammed his door, going back to his work.

Frenzy snickered some as he was kicked out and looked at his brother. "I have to admit, it was funny." He said as he smiled some. "But come on, it's time to finish our work." He said as he went to work

Starscream looked at his paper and groaned as he quickly went to work, filing the papers quickly. They seemed rather odd to be put in such an order, but didn't question it. Megatron was the one that gave it to him like so, so he'd give them back in the same way. Scream held the papers in his hands and headed off to Megatron's office and knocked softly. "Lord Megatron....your papers are done and ready to be filed, just as you so ordered..."

In typical Rumble fashion, the blond teenager was easily finding time to screw around with Screamer's back turned! As the tall commander continued his long, extensive rant about his accomplishments, Rumble pretended to mimic his theatrical posing grandiose demeanor! It wasn't long before Frenzy could no longer feign interest, and his mocking laughter did not go unnoticed by Starscream!

"Am I amusing you Frenzy?"

Rumble had to put both his hands over his mouth to stifle his own laughter as his brother tried to save face. It didn't take much longer for Starscream to turn around and bare witness to the smaller Decepticon behind him. With a huff, he marched the boys out of his office and shut the door behind him.

In the clear, Rumble could not contain his laughter any longer. He followed Frenzy down the hallway to finish their chores."See? Toldja so! And he doesn't suspect a thing!"

"Inquiry; who doesn't suspect a thing?"

Rumble nearly jumped out of his skin as Soundwave seemingly appeared out of no where! Despite being his subordinate for years now, the rowdier twin was never quite use to his appearing and disappearing acts.

"Uh...nothin' boss! I uh, was talkin' about uh...you yanno? You wasn't expecting us to do such a good job cleanin'! Right Frenzy?" Rumble inwardly prayed to the all spark itself that Soundwave would believe him.

The taller Decepticon eyed them both before silently passing them down the hallway. Rumble breathed a sigh of relief, stopping short when Soundwave added,

"You missed a spot." Before continuing on his way.

With Soundwave gone again, Rumble sighed with a pout. "I really hate chores..."

Megatron was just beginning to wonder how long Starscream intended to keep him waiting when a familiar knock was heard. "Yes...come in." Came his smooth, baritone voice as the slim commander entered with the paperwork he ordered. "Ah, there you are dear Commander. Just when I was thinking the work I gave you was far too much." He spoke sardonically, receiving the papers in his hands. Megatron took a seat behind his metallic desk, grabbing a pair of glasses from his drawer. Megatron hated to admit it, but he was well up in age! Reading was certainly getting more and more tedious. He placed the glasses over his eyes, glancing at Starscream with a gruff, "Wait." before the other could leave.

".....Is this some sort of trickery?" He finally bellowed after perusing the copies. "None of it is in the order I gave you!" Megatron growled, slapping the papers against the desk. "Do you realize how important these documents are you fool! It took our grunts hours to get them in the proper arrangement!" He snapped, rising to his feet. "You've failed me yet again Starscream...and I do not intend to go easy on your failure any longer."

The new disciplinary system Megatron had put in place was quite the shock to most of the crew! To some, it was a long time coming. After their last meeting with the autobots, Prime had given Megatron some advice on dealing with unruly behavior aboard his ship...

His dear Commander was treated no better than any other subordinate who dare disobey him. And this...this was unacceptable.

"It pains me to know you can't even do a simple task! Are you that self absorbed you couldn't realize their improper alignment?" Megatron sighed heavily, his eyes narrowed. He walked beside his desk, taking a seat before motioning Starscream to come forward with his finger.

"What have you to say for yourself Starscream?"

Frenzy couldn't help but snicker as he followed his brother out to the hallway. "Yeah, I can't wait to hear about what happened." He whispered before jumping and looking up at their boss.

"Y-yeah, we're almost done, we've been working just like you wanted us to." He said with a small smile, hoping Soundwave wouldn't ask too many questions and thankfully, he seemed to be too busy to really look into what they were doing. He sighed with relief and looked over to where they had missed a spot. "Yes sir, I'll get right on that." He said and once he was gone, sighed with relief. "Man...I hate chores too but come on..Let's head to Lord Megatron's office, I saw Starscream heading over there. Let's see how bad he gets yelled at." He said with a snicker as he headed down the hall.

Starscream made his way into the office and handed the leader the papers he had requested. However, he had to bite his tongue at the comment. "My apologies...I would have been here sooner, but Soundwave's dastardly twins were playing tricks per usual...if that would be all." Starscream went to leave, only to stop when the commander told him to wait.

He turned back to him, a concerned look on his face as he looked over the paperwork. He was sure he filed everything accordingly, what could possibly be the problem? When he was told the paperwork was not in order, he simply looked shocked. "I...but...I...." He stammered for a moment before Megatron went on about his incompetence.

"My liege, there must be some mistake. I didn't-I mean I did, but..." He just looked at Megatron as he sat down by his desk and motioned him forward, he simply stood in his spot. "My liege, I completed the papers in the order I was given them. There must have been a mistake with your grunts, not me. I kept them in their order because YOU said yourself that their order was very important."
