Hamish gasped when his lie was brushed off and his father gripped his wrist "s-stop!! You have no evidence!" He whimpered, tugging on his father's grip "NOOO"
"If you are sure lovie..." He smiles at the person behind the counter and ordered the food before going to sit and wait for it to be ready

"This isn't court. In this home, I am Judge, Jury, and, Executioner of punishment," Sherlock remarked matter-of-factly he easily dragged Hamish over his lap. "And you've earned this." He raised a hand before bringing it down sharply on his son's backside once, twice, three times - hard enough to make Hamish's skin sting beneath his trousers.
The little girl differed awkwardly in her seat as she grew more and more restless. She seemed to struggle to keep still, though she was determined not to complain. She was a big girl! She'd prove it! Even if it was really, really hard.

Hamish was panicking as he was pulled over to the armless chair and tried in vain to escape from his father's tyrannic grasp. Despite his efforts, which were for naught, he was hoisted and layn over Sherlock's long, oh so boney legs and swatted with a firm flick of the wrist. "a-ah!! Ouch!! No. No NO!! STOP IT! THIS ISN'T JUSTIFIED!" The child kicked and punched what he could in his current demeaning and immobilizing state.
John watched his daughter with a careful eye, humming a soft tune under his breath as he sat, crosslegged as the table. The silence was quite nice. The mayhem of the restaurant was nothing in comparison to the zoo/lab he'd spent over eight years in. Sherlock was always making some sort of racket and now that they had the twins...well the doctor was just glad he was sent out for food and shopping every now and then.

"Not justified?" Sherlock barked a humorless laugh, though it f didn't last very long once he felt his son's violent (and utterly futile) attempts to escape. "Stop that thrashing at once, Hamish Watson-Holmes," was his sharp reprimand as his large hand effectively gave the boy's whole bottom a smack much harder than before. He stopped then, wanted the boy's full attention when he went on in his cool, analytical detective tone, "I know the way you think. I know how you behave when you've had an accident and when you're just itching for attention. Your body language speaks volumes, even if I hadn't been keeping an eye on you in the mirror."
Papa seemed so peaceful, so happy to wait for their food. The little girl, on the other hand, fidgeted almost constantly to do something about her excess energy. Less than 5 minutes found her utterly desperate for relief. "Papa, can't I just play across the street until dinner's ready?" She whined, staring longingly out at the other children.

Hamish yelped and went still as the hardest smavk of them all jutted through his blooming posterior, a good shade of pink now under his trousers "a-ah! Papa!" He cried out, squirming slightly but not enough to warrent another hard spank. The blush on his cheeks grew hot as he listened to his father desuce his craving for attention and he pursed his lips, determined not to let him get the satisfaction "Well you're WRONG" he challenged, telling Sherlock the exact opposite of what he would ever want to hear.
---
John looked over and sighed softly "Sorry love but i need you to stay in here. It's getting dark and i don't like you out in the city at your age, even if it's across the street. I don't even know thise kids." He leaned back a bit "the food should be ready soon"

The detective merely tutted his disapproval, his perceptive eyes going ice cold as the boy protested. He'd caught the boy red-handed. He'd proved it even, beyond doubt. It wasn't just offensive as a parent to have the child lie to him. As an academic, he didn't want Hamish to grow up into a man who denied reality if it didn't suit him. So he merely hooked two fingers beneath the boy's waistband, taking down his trousers and pants in one smooth movement. "Wrong answer," was his icy reply before he raised his hand and began spanking Hamish anew.
Soon was never soon enough for children. Watson's daughter pouted then, thinking she might just die of hunger or old age before she got to eat. But then an idea struck her, and she asked, "can I use the toilet here, Papa?" with her sweetest voice.

Hamish gasped when he felt his bottom bared and thrashed about "Papa STOP!!!" He squaked indignantly, trying to kick though his legs were trapped
John figured she either had ro use the loo or just wanted to go for a short walk since the fiod was taking a whil, so he saw no problem in saying yes, but to be careful as she was so young.

"Not until you've learned your lesson, young man," was Sherlock's stern reply. It unsettled him sometimes, how being strict came so much more easily to him than being affectionate with his children. He truly wasn't the nurturing type. Still, children needed order and discipline in their lives, lest they end up lazy and poor in health and funds. So he spanked Hamish with nigh surgical precision, ensuring that each cheek of his backside felt the sting of his hand as well as his undercurves. Lastly he focused on the sit-spots, raising his voice to be heard clearly over the boy's protestaion, "you will obey the rules of this home, do you understand me?"
Abigail beamed at John once he aquiesced to her little trip to the toilet. And as she walked to the back of the deli, she glanced about to make sure no-one was watching before slipping out the back door. A quick circle around the building, and she'd be able to play with the other children! Papa couldn't be too mad about that when everything turned out fine.

By the eighth swat to his bare bottom, tears were already in Hamish's eyes. And much to his dismsy, near the end, ge was outright bawling. So when Sherlock told him that he would behave and ovey him, he had to answer yes in order to stop the hirrible burning from caryung on "Y-yes papa! I'm sorryyyyg"
Meanwhile, John was called and he got up to retrueve the food they had vome here for, looking around for his daughter as he walked away from the counter "Abbie?" He frowned a bit. Surely a trip to the loo couldn't be that long...maybe she was having troubles...though she didn't seem like she was in pain. She seemed...excited actually. The frown deepened and he looked outside to see her walking, about to cross the street "ABIGAIL" he hurried out and grabbed her by the wrist "What on earth do you think you're doing you g lady?"

It was the crying that he was never prepared for. Sherlock Holmes could endure torture, firefights, even a nigh fatal bullet wound with calculating calm. But the sound of a child's distress had always put him on edge. Because, really, what was crying but a mechanism by which dependent, juvenile humans signaled their need for succor? Send them a nurse or their mother or some jingling keys to distract babes from their wailing. He was wholly unequipped for soothing a crying child, and he knew it.
Still, he didn't stop his regrettable task of punishing Hamish until the boy caved and apologized. Then his hand rest upon the boy's back, rubbing at the shaking body in his lap a tad awkwardly. This was the part that always made him anxious. Watson was better suited to the typically material tasks in parenting.
As for Abigail, she hadn't expected to be waylaid so soon. A hand on her wrist had stopped her from taking the crosswalk. Her big blue eyes blinked up at her Papa, and she gave him a confident smile when she explained, "I'm a big girl, Papa. I can cross the street and eat fish and chips and other adult things l. She seemed not to realize how she'd misbehaved.
