"Yes Sir", Alexa answered and went into her room to get all the papers. Then, she went to her masters study and knocked, waiting for an answer.

“Come in, Alexa.”


Alfred is sitting at the desk, lounging back in his chair to relax after the rather harrowing event that he'd just hosted. If it had been just a normal party, he'd have been able to enjoy it more. However, since there was an ulterior motive, he had to devote too much of his attention to the situation with Megan to really have any fun. Plus, while he'd learned some information about the girl's problems, it didn't give him all of the answers that he was looking for. As Alexa enters, he leans forward, reaching out for the papers that she brings in to him.


“I trust that you finished everything, correct? The servants told me that you were a big help today, and I know that you wouldn't have been so involved if you hadn't finished your homework, first.”

Alexa looked at her master helplessly. She wasn't able to answer for the first few moments, and to be honest, she wasn't sure what she should say. "I...wasn't able to finish them Sir.", she just said and handed him the papers, afraid of how he would react now.

Alfred nods silently, taking the papers and briefly looking them over. He then sets them aside, looking at the girl accusingly as he again starts to speak to her.


“So, let me get this straight... After I specifically warned you that I wanted you to get all of that homework finished before tonight's party, you not only didn't finish, but you put it off so you could help with party preparations, instead, even though I said that everything was taken care of? Is that correct?”

Alexa blushed and looked at her feet. "I....yes, Sir.", she answered meekly.

Alfred sighs, picking up the papers once more and reaching across the desk to hand them back to her.


“Well, young lady, you were told what to expect if you didn't finish it as you were told to do. Go upstairs and get ready for bed, and then step into the punishment room and take the strap off of the wall. I will be up there to speak with you, shortly.”

Alexa just nodded and went into her room to get ready for bed. Her heart was beating fast and she hands where wet as she opened the door to the punishment room and stepped in. With a shiver she took the strap and waited for her master, totally afraid.

It is several long moments before Alfred's footsteps can be heard hurriedly moving down the hallway to the punishment room. When he flings the door open, he is holding his cellphone to his ear with an anguished expression.


“Well, where were you when it happened? Yes. Yes, I'll be there, shortly.”


He pulls the phone away from his head and clicks it shut, looking across the room at the young lady waiting for him.


“Put your clothes back on and meet me out by the car. You're going to be going with me for a bit. We'll finish this discussion when we return.”


With that, he turns around and steps back out of the room, his footsteps quickly moving away from Alexa's door.

Alexa looked at her master puzzled as he left the room and quickly put her clothes back on. Then, she went down in the hall, not sure what to expect. "What happened?", she asked breathless.

Alfred has already gotten in the car and pulled it up to the front door to wait for Alexa to come out. As soon as she's in the car, he pulls away with squealing tires as he rockets down the driveway and to the road.


“Megan's limo experienced a setback. Someone ran it off of the road. The driver's okay, but he said that someone overpowered them and kidnapped Megan. We're going to have to work fast to find her.”
