He looks down at the table and at the table at the movies. It's been a long time since he seen one. As the heater turns on, he felt the heat blowing on him and it felt a bit nice. He's been cold for so long, he forgotten what it was like to be warm. Even where he and his mother used to live, it was barely warm other then the small fire they made on the really cold nights if they could.

With him so deep in thought he was snapped back into reality once he was wrapped in a towel. Letting out a small mew out of surprise. It felt soft to the touch. It short of reminded him of the blanket he used to have. Once he was dried he was still cold. So he took the towel and wrapped it around himself. Moving closer to the heater and felt the heat wave on his face. Feeling so nice he was starting to purr quietly.

Isaac nodded in satisfaction, and picked the DVDs back up, holding them out for Luka to look at.
“Alright, do you wanna see a princess with magic hair find her way home, a love story between a human and a vampire, or a Viking make friends with a dragon?”
Nodding as the boy made his choice, he put the movie on and pressed play before heading upstairs, picking out one of his ugly Christmas sweaters and a thick fleece blanket before returning to the living room.

When given the choice. He took a moment to think about it and point to How to train your Dragon. As the movie starts he sits up more and looks at the screen. It seemed that he was in trance with the movie. His eyes were glued tot eh screen, Though it didn't mean he wasn't paying attention. He thought it was so strange how this man was acting. He let him in and not yelling at him for going through his trash. Which he never understood why people got mad, they were throwing things out, that means they don't want it anymore.

The purring got louder as the movie went on. A sign he was really enjoying himself.

Walking in, Isaac swapped the boy’s towel for the blanket and instructed him to hold his arms up while he dressed him in the jumper, patting him on the back when he was finished.
“Good boy. I’ll go make you those noodles now, and then we can call your mom and have her come pick you up, okay?”

As he came back, he lets out a mew mew of sadness as he took the towel away from him. It was soft, but not as soft as the blanket. When told to raise his arms up. He was a bit hesitate at first, but so far he hasn't done anything bad, so he did as he was told. Once dressed in the Christmas sweater, he looks down at it and frowns. It was one of those ugly ones, but it was soft and warm so he'll wear it for now. With that and now wrapped int he blanket. He was purring a bit loud...until he brought up his mother.

"...She's not going to answer." he mumbles sadly. Wrapping the blanket around himself tighter.

Pausing in the doorway to the kitchen, Issac frowned.
“What do you mean?” He had his suspicions, given how the child was barely dressed and he could see his ribs, not to mention that he’d caught him going through his trash in the middle of the night, but he wanted to be sure.

Luka was quiet for a moment. He put the blanket over his head, only his face was exposed. Looking a little confused and sad. "My mom....one day....she went to sleep and she...didn't wake up...I think." he said. "She was gone a lot of the time, but she made sure to be back by night. She said she was really tired and went to bed earlier then normal. Next day I tired waking her up, she wouldn't up. I figured she was really tired. The day after that...she still didn't wake up. Third day I was hungry and to find something to eat. I got a hot dog from the nearby gas station. Then went to the park. I got home later then usual and when I got back...she was gone." he tells him.

Tears forming in the eyes and was shaking one more. "I-I tried looking for her. I went to everywhere she worked and no one saw her. I wondered all over town and couldn't find her. Then...when I got home...that to was gone." he sniffled and lets out a sob. "They...they knocked it over...with those giant balls on a chain. I asked why they were tearing down my home and one of the guys pushed me and told me to get lost." he said as the tears ran down his face.

"It's been months and I can't her anywhere! Why did she leave me?! Was I not worth keeping around?! Am I that bad of a kid?! I don't know what I did wrong!" he cries out and was now a crying mess.

Isaac could only sit down beside the boy and hug him, before picking him up, still wrapped in the blanket, and sitting him in his lap, rubbing his back and behind his ears soothingly while making small noises of comfort.
When the boy had stopped bawling and was just crying softly, he paused the movie and began to rock him gently.
“It’s okay kiddo. How about you just tell me your name, and I’ll try my best to explain everything, hm?”

As he was placed into the man's lap. He pressed his face into his shoulder and wails into it. He's been bottling this up for such a long time. When he tried to get help, no one care or tries to hurt him. Making him think that something was wrong with him and that's why his mother left him, but she told him she loved him and would never leave him, so why did she? It never made sense to him.

It took a bit of time, but soon he was down to softly sobbing and sniffling. He felt nice to be in the arms of someone, even if it wasn't his mother. He wasn't pushing him off or telling him to go away, he snuggles up to him. Now resting his head on his shoulder. Telling him to tell him his name and he will explain everything. He sniffles and takes a few deep breaths. "I-I *hic* I'm Luka." he tells him.

“Okay then, Luka.” Isaac sat back and continued to rub the child’s back soothingly as he gathered his words together.
“I think your mom loved you very, very much, and she didn’t want to leave you, but…sometimes, when people get very old, or sick, or injured, they, well…they die: which means they stop breathing and moving. It’s nobody’s fault, and it happens to everyone eventually. It’s also very hard to tell when it will happen, so it’s likely your mom didn’t even know.”
He hugged the boy tightly, giving any more comfort that might be needed.
