The cat boy listens as he explains what happened to his mother. Which a look of horror came onto his face. It then changed changed back to a sad one. Gripping tightly onto the blanket and pull it as close to his body as he can. "If-if that's the case then...what happen to her body?" he asked. "Wait...I think I heard of this...is she....a zombie?!" he asked in a frighten tone. Even though zombies are nothing but ploys in movies and video games.

Isaac chuckled sadly, shaking his head.
“No, I don’t think she became a zombie, darling. It’s likely that whoever owned the building you were living in found her when they came along to survey the site for the demolition you walked in on, and had her taken away to be buried or cremated. You say you went to her places of work though, right? That must mean someone knows her name; we can ask the police to find out what happened to her so her little boy can rest easy…and I’ll take care of you from now on. Does that sound good?”
He gave Luka a little kiss on the top of his head, rocking him slightly.

He was relief to hear that his mother most likely didn't turn into a zombie. Still She seemed fine the last time he saw her, just maybe a little more tired, but she worked a lot so of course she would be tired, but as Issac said, most likely that she didn't know. The man goes on to tell him that if they go back to the places his mom worked then they can get a name and learn what happened to put his mind at rest, but it's not going to put his soul to rest. It's been so hard without her.

Then he tells him that he will take care of him. "What?" he asked in a shocked tone, with a surprise look on his face. "But, but why?" he asked. "I-I'm not your kid."

Isaac shook his head.
“Well, no, you’re not. But even if I hadn’t taken a liking to you, I’d be a jerk to just throw you back out onto the street without even trying to find you somewhere to stay.”
The man was already making plans. He could have the spare bedroom meant for guests, and there was a bag of old clothes in the garage he could wear…after getting them laundered, of course.
He patted the child’s back.
“And if you ever feel sad, or in some other way upset about your mom, and you wanna talk, or cry, or just sit and have a cuddle, then come find me, ‘Kay?”

He looks up at him with teary eyes once more. Ever since his mother's passing no one had been kind to him. He thought because he is different that no one would ever like him. That he will be alone until he joins his mother in the after life. Yet this man has been nothing but kind to him. He sniffles and wraps his arms around him. Pressing his face against his chest.

"You're the nicest person I met. I thought everyone in the world were jerks. I felt so alone and scared since my mother....I thought I was going to be alone forever." he tells him.

Isaac just hugged the boy back, tears beginning to well up in his own eyes as he hushed and cooed, holding him tight.
How could anyone be so cruel to such a sweet boy? He didn’t understand it.
“Hey, hey, it’s alright now kid, I’ve got you, and I’ll stay around to take care of you for as long as I possibly can, and make sure you have someone else if I ever have to leave. Shh, good boy, such a good boy…”

Even the way he was talking was so nice. He really wanted to trust him. He takes some calming breaths and his body began to relax. As that happened his stomach let out a mighty growl. Then lets out a mew of distress. For he is at the point where he was so hungry that when his stomach grumbled it caused some discomfort.

"Can I get something to eat, Mister...?" he told the man his name, but he doesn't remember getting his name.

“Oh, sure!” Isaac hurriedly got up, unpausing the movie and skipping it back to the place they had been up to and letting it play to distract the boy from his no doubt aching stomach.
Putting the kettle on to boil he put the dry noodles in the packet, adding some peas before pouting the hot water over the top and letting it cook while he dug a can of tuna out of the cupboard.
“You can call me Isaac, by the way!”
When he next came back into the lounge room, he had a bowl of steaming chicken noodles with peas and tuna, and all the extra water and flavouring drained. Sitting down and pulling Luka into his lap, he handed him the bowl.
“Eat slowly, baby, and stop when you feel full: I don’t know how long you’ve gone without eating, but if you aren’t careful you’re at very least going to give yourself a tummy ache.”

He was place back on the couch and watched at the man goes into the kitchen to cook. Though he does call out to him to tell his his name. "Issac...huh." he softly mumbles to himself. So that was the name of the man who was helping him. He felt a little colder now that he had left, so he moves as close as he could to the heater while on the couch. He curled up into a ball and watch the movie.

Before he knew it, he can smell something delicious in the air and made his drool a little. With him eating out of trash bins. He forgot just how yummy food can smell. It reminded him of his mom's cooking. He was place back into the man's lap and was handed a bowl. His eyes sparkled with joy. "Thank you!" he said happily and digs in. Making the nomming sound you hear in those short internet videos.

Holding the boy close and watching the movie with him, Isaac smiled at his little thank you, scratching behind his ears.
“Good boy, using your manners so nicely!” He praised, scratching behind his ears.
By the time the movie was over, it was almost one o’clock in the morning, and he picked up the warm, full child, placing the empty bowl on the side table to be dealt with in the morning.
“The way I see it, little man, is it’s way past your new bedtime, so let’s go upstairs and have a nice snuggle, huh?” He was planning on letting the boy sleep in his bed until he was more comfortable in his new surroundings.
