Alexander was nervous! The ten year old boy had the book of Annihilation opened up in front of him. His Mistress had promised him that he won't be able to sit down for a year if he tried the opening spell. But he knew he could do it- the boy was a prodigy after all, he hoped his mistress would be impressed when he did open the portal to hell. He just wanted to look at the monsters, nothing more. He'd close it soon- Alex just wanted to prove he could. He started the incantations, hoping she'd not find out...

"In her chambers, Salinda, his mistress awoke from her sleep. She felt someone was using magic, strong magic. And the only magic user around, beside herself was her apprentice.

She quickly put on a robe over her nightgown, grabbed her staff witch she used to channel her magic and opened door of Alexander's room. He wasn't in bed. A peek in her study made her worst fears true. "What part of he wouldn't sit for months didn't he understand." She said to herself with a frown as she hurried to th spot the magic came from.

Alex was trying as hard as he could to memorize the confusing spells- this was by far the hardest thing he ever had to do. The fact that he could even reach this far was a testament to his talent, and also mistress Salinda's training- which mostly consisted of bending him over and striping his bottom with a switch or belt whenever he did something and blew up her workspace.

The portal to hell however was worse than his expectations. He managed to split the space between the world and the netherworld- but the part where he was supposed to stop the portal and have it collapse onto itself- well, let's say that a certain demon saw the small gap and managed to pry it open.
"Thankssss!" The red demon hissed. His name was Balthazar the crooked, his power was immeasurable. The demon managed to take one step out of the gate and vanished, ready to bring destruction to the world at large. His followers quickly followed, a dozen of them before the last one, a scary demon hissed at the boy.

Then a beam of light pushed the demon back into the portal and it closed. "I think someone has trouble with listening to his mistress. Selinda's voice came from behind the boy.

The book floaded out of his hand into his mistresses and she quickly closed it. "What part of 'this book is dangerous and you are forbidden to touch it' was too hard to understand for you?" She asked in a icy tone. "And look at me when I am talking to you!" She snapped.

Alex screamed when the monsters came out, he was really hoping for help. He regretted ignoring his mistress's warning and thought he was going to die when the portal closed.

Warm relief flooded over him for a moment before he registered her voice. Alex's hand immediately went to cover his bum. "Mistress!" He squeaked, not able to maintain eye contact. Her voice terrified him. He just looked down and mumbled. "I'm sorry, thought I could do it."

"And you did, kind off." She said grim. "I told you to look at me young man!" She repeated. She took his chin on forced him too look up. "I asked you a question and I expect a answer. What part of: 'that book is dangerous and you are forbidden to touch it' was too hard to understand?"

Alex's nose flicked with annoyance as she lifted up his head. "The 'forbiddento touch' part." He said before thinking before he froze.

"Mistress, I didn't mean.." words stuck to his throat as he looked at the beautiful woman in front of him. His mouth had a nasty habit of making everything bad for his bottom.

"Forbidden means 'not allowed to' it mean you weren't allowed to touch the book with one finger, let alone pick it up and taking it somewhere." She said. "What where you thinking, or didn't you think at all? WHY did you do this?"

Alex sighed in relief, his mistress hadn't got caught of the snark when he said it. "I just wanted to see if I could do it." he deadpanned.

Alex didn't dare say the real reason though, which was he did it exactly BECAUSE she forbid him to do it. His curiosity got the better of him, he had to try it.
