Yuki spent the rest of the time in the deepest embarrassment, she wanted to sink.
That warning was then a kind of coup de grace.
The worst part was sitting for the next lessons, it was heartbreaking.
When she finally could get up and go home, it was an immense relief.
Over the next few days the waters seemed calm enough and she even managed to study, as well as not be late.
But that warning was like a sentence.
Yuki let almost a week go by, the time her butt stopped sore every time she sat down. She would have waited at the last moment, but she knew that the calm would not last and fighting evil with a sore ass was not a good thing. Never.
After class, the following week, she then took the notice and walked towards the punishment room.
Sitting in the waiting room of the punishment room, waiting for the attendant to arrive, were three other girls with the same piece of paper in hand.
Yuki was not surprised to recognize her companions, they had been heavy days and each one had suffered in her way of the nights out fighting the bad guys.
The one that stood out the most was Sophia Glasgow, a year older than them, Sophia was practically their boss, she had lost a year because her parents, both diplomats, had traveled often before officially moving to the American consulate in Japan. She was a beautiful tall girl and already more curvy than them, she wore long blonde hair and was there for the poor grades she was collecting.
Achi Miabara, on the other hand, was a shy girl, sitting there next to her, her black hair gathered in two side tails. She had fallen asleep in class three times that week. She was in that school on a scholarship and studied all night to catch up.
Finally there was Meiko Tanaka, the rebel, she hated to braid her hair and therefore had resolved by cutting it very short, an almost masculine cut that had already earned her a punishment. She had tried copying on an assignment.
Fire, water and air.
And then there was her, Yuki, who with the power of the earth, together with the others, protected the city from the forces of evil.
And instead of thanking them, they were punished….
