He rolled his eyes at her stubbornness, not caring that she did not like the leash, until he was sure she would not run away he was going to be keeping it on her. Summer tipped her to the left slightly before she scratched her left ear, she knew that her master was testing her to see if she could talk but she just didn't feel like talking, especially not to a man who put a leash and a collar on her, so she just shrugged her shoulders again and mewed softly as she looked up at him

He could tell by the look in her eyes that she was defying him on purpose and it irritated him. He grabbed her arm, turning her to the side and delivering three hard whacks to her backside before he released her. She could consider those a warning. "I'm not playing games with you. Right now I"m playing nice but that can stop if you're not going to cooperate with me. You can always go back in that cage and be at that man's mercy. Is that what you want?" Summer yelped as her master smacked her three times, she hadn't been expecting it and it brought tears to her eyes, she was just glad that her tail had managed to get out the way before it or she would be in a lot more pain, she considered what her master said but would he really give her back or would the store even take her back but if they didn't take her back she could end up on the streets "No, sir" Summer whispered deciding it would be better to not take the chance

He was ready to swat her again if she decided she didn't want to cooperate with him but she answered him and he lost some of the obvious anger from his expression, reaching out to lightly rub at her head, petting her since he knew that lots of neko liked that. "Good girl. Things don't have to be hard for you if you don't want them to be. Come on, were going to get you food. You can walk or be dragged, but I'd rather not have to drag you around." He said then he started walking towards the door, glancing at her over his shoulder to see if she was going to follow on her own or if he'd have to drag her.

Summer couldn't help but smile when her master reached out and petted her head, she leaned into his touch a little because it was so calming and relaxing, the only thing that she found more calming than that was when she lying down and someone scratched her gently behind her ears, Summer rolled her eyes as her master talked about dragging her she looked at him for a second before she decided she wasn't going to go just because he thought he could order her to

He noticed how much she seemed to like having her head petted, and he noted it as a possible reward for good behavior when they got home and went into the 'training' phase. He started to walk out of the store, ignoring her eye roll, but her defiance was not something he could ignore. He walked to the edge of her leash, waiting to see if she'd make the smart decision and follow but when she didn't he yanked hard on the leash, not caring if it made her stumble. The collar around her neck was made of thick leather, and it wouldn't break from tugging no matter how hard he jerked her leash or how hard she tried to pull it off. "Keep the defiance and attitude up and you'll earn yourself a spanking when we get home." He warned her, not wanting her to have any doubts what would happen if she continued to fight him on everything.

Summer fell forward onto her hands and knees when her master yanked the leash hard, she looked up at him through her hair and glared as she pushed herself up realising that, for the moment at least, she would be better following him so that he didn't get a chance to tug or yank on the leash that she hated 'you'll probably give me a spanking anyway' Summer thought but she decided to remain silent

He felt a little bad about knocking her to her hands and knees, he hadn't meant to pull her that hard just hard enough to force her to take a few steps forward to regain her balance. Still, he couldn't un-do it so he would just be more careful if he had to tug on her leash again. He wasn't trying to mistreat her, and knocking her to the ground was mistreatment in his opinion. If he'd known what she was thinking he would have told her that she was wrong, and he'd only punish her if she deserved it, but he couldn't read her mind so that reassurance was left unsaid. His driver got out of the car but he waved for the man to get back in, not ready to head home yet. Instead he glanced up and down the street, seeing a couple of different food places. "What sorts of foods do you like, Summer?" He asked again, hoping that she'd answer this time so he wouldn't have to swat her.

Summer walked behind her master not enough for him to pull on the leash but just enough to a cause a small amount of tension on the leash to show that she still wasn't happy about it, she looked up as he repeated the question about what food she liked, she remembered the painful spanks but he wouldn't spank her outside if she refused to answer would he?, she didn't really feel like talking and so just shrugged her shoulders but made sure to raise her tail just incase he did swat her
