Roll hugged the man back as she was crying. It was really upsetting to learn that her family was no longer here. Especially since it’s actually been several years since she’s ever woken up so she doesn’t know what to do all alone. "B-But why would they do that? I don’t have anyone to go home to." she says while she sobs.

The offer to stay in a new home did surprise Roll. It honestly doesn’t sound too bad and for once, finally smiled despite sniffling a bit. "Really? You would do that for me?"

“Of course, I can’t just let you run around alone,” he stated as he now picked her up in his arms. “Besides, you’re gonna need someone to help you get around. I’m sure a lot has changed since you’ve last been awake.”

"Thank you so much! I really appreciate it!" she exclaims in excitement as she is no longer feeling grief at the moment. She clings onto him as he picked her up. "A lot probably has changed. Oh, I never introduced myself. My name is Roll! It’s nice to meet you!"

“You can call me Ken,” he smiled. Well this would be nice, he had always wanted a little sister. And so the pair would begin on their trek back to his home.

After some time they would finally make it, just as the sun was about to set. He helped the small girl inside before closing the door behind them. “Alright, it’s getting a bit late, how about I make us some dinner?” he suggested, though he wasn’t sure what a robot would eat, batteries maybe?

The girl nods her head as she learns his name. She clings onto him as they make their way to his house which would pretty much be her new home.

Once they were there, Roll was back on her feet. Having something to eat does sound nice since it has been a long time since she last eat even though she’s a robot and doesn’t require it. "That would be nice!" she replied.

Ken nodded before leaving her be as he approached the kitchen. After a moment, food could be smelled cooking as the young man hummed to himself. It wouldnt take long before a plate of food was placed on the table for the two of them.

“Alright, eat up!” he called out, taking his seat.

Roll sat down on the couch as she waited for the food to be finished. She ponders what she would do from now on since she is now living with Ken. There’s also the fact that things have changed around her while both of them were outside earlier. Her train of thought stops when she smells the food from the kitchen and the announcement of food being ready.

"Coming!" she called back as she begins to walk into the kitchen and take a seat across from him.

Ken handed her a fork before starting to eat as well. He figured they could probably head into town the next morning and let her get used to her new surroundings, but for now the best thing to do would be to feed the girl and get her a good night’s rest.
