Messing with the wrong vault

James wasn't fully sure what to expect with the super mutants, but the next day, he was treading carefully and with a bit more emphasis on stealth than he had the previous day. He figured if super mutants were so big and heavy, that perhaps the greatest advantage he had over them was stealth and agility.

Heather and Piper followed James to where the super mutant were said to be.

The super mutant hide out was in an old burned out building, and it was a big bigger than James had imagined it. Still, he wasn't going to get intimidated out of this. Apparently this group of super mutants was responsible for the deaths of possibly hundreds, at the very least dozens of citizens of the Commonwealth. He whispered to Heather and Piper, "Be very quiet as we sneak up here. When I give the signal, shoot for the head of the nearest mutant. We can thin out their numbers with a surprise attack."

Both Heather and Piper nodded their heads as the sneak up on the mutants.

James snuck up on the building full of super mutants. He pulled the pin on a grenade and tossed it in the middle of a group of super mutants, and then gave the signal to Heather and Piper. He raised his arm and then pointed his fingers at the mutants, and then started firing the gun himself.

Heather and Piper stayed to fire their gun at well at the super mutants.

James had expected these super mutants to be tough to kill, but he began to think that perhaps he had bit off more than he could chew. Many of the super mutants barely even seemed to slow down at all when he shot them! He had to start backing up and retreating slightly as the super mutants advanced on his position.


(Maybe Heather and Piper don't start to retreat on time, or they retreat in a different direction than James, and get overwhelmed by the super mutants.)

“Their to many of them.said Piper as she and Heather kept shooting at them.

"Fall back!" James yelled as he began retreating a bit faster. He just barely managed to kill one with bombs strapped before it got too close, but there were several more closing in on his position. He tried to keep providing covering fire for Piper and Heather whenever he got the chance, but he only had one gun and it was getting tougher to protect himself!

Heather and Piper fell back as they got to the hall way as they went the wrong way that James went as they got to dead end.
