Elrond smiled "I suspected as much" he chuckled softly before straightening back up "Now the hour is very late, far past the time for young elves to be in bed" he held out his hands for his sons to take.

Legolas was already imagining all of the exciting things that might occur as a result of a party. All of the games, sweets and time to run about while the grown elves indulged in spitits of all kinds. His father's statement about it being time for him to sleep, pulled the little elfling from his daydreaming...or rather night dreaming at this time. Or was it regular dreaming when it was dark out? He shook his head before his mind wandered off once more and frowned up at his adar. "But ada, the twins and I were in the middle of a game! We cannot stop all of the sudden!"

“But Adar...” Elladan began.
“We were playing.” Elrohir added with a tinge of sadness on his voice.

Thranduil had no idea of his son’s imaginative wonderings, but hey were very much like his own when he was his age. He sighed at the plea. “Legolas, aren’t you tired?”

Legolas shook his head, which of course was a lie as his eyelids were drooping.

Thranduil scooped him up. “Perhaps I can join you tomorrow.”
