Multiversal Mishaps (For Crooked)

Oh jeez. It was a reasonable question of course, but of all the things she didn't want to talk about was that incident. "..." No. Chin up, eyes forward. Essentially ignoring the other girl now, Lara moved on, feeling heat rise up to her face. Making it to the other side with no issue, she kept her back to Elly, both arms folded now as she tried to calm herself by thinking of previous successful messages.

So... that was a no. Ordinarily, Elly would be content to agree to just not talk about it and instead focus on surviving this temple. Now was far from ordinary, though, and Elly was a lot more concerned with getting at least some kind of answer.

"Hello? Did you hear me?" Elly asked, not seeing the point of their strict and uptight sneaking. She loosened her pose and casually strut up behind Lara, poking her head around the side as if trying to see her expression. "'Cuz, uh, it did happen, and I don't even know your name."

"Is...is this really the time to be asking this sort of thing? And for God's sake girl, eyes to the ground!" Lara snapped, forgetting for a moment she was bare chested until Elly poked her face around, quickly covering herself up with a blush.

Nearly stumbling herself, the taller woman righted and with a sigh continued forward more carefully. She was in a bit of a dilemma here, knowing that she could perhaps move faster and just lose the girl, but she was dragging her in here and didn't want to see her hurt. Well. Not anymore than she had already done. Damn, she was already beginning to regret flying out here.

Elly paused. Her eyes scanned over the ground, blanketed by a coat of darkness that hid the many, spherical holes left in the floor. Each one nursed a deadly surprise, and while Lara knew that, Elly didn't even think of it. After-all, rigged traps in ancient tombs were the stuff of fiction, so it's not as if she really had to be careful out here.

"Why? What is on the ground? I feel like I'm lacking crucial info here!" Elly complained, basically ignoring her guide's warnings and stomping her foot against the ground poutily. The tuft of dust kicked up under her shoe carried an echo down the long hallways for what seemed like miles. Elly's eyes rolled. "Ooh, is King Tut's mummy gonna come out and get us? No? Then why can't we talk about this!"

If perhaps she hadn't already spanked the girl silly only minutes before, and they're current position over deadly spikes, Lara might have taken Elly over her knee right there and then. Still, she was getting the urge to pop her backside a few times but managed to restrain herself, tone now icy as she glared ahead.

"Traps. Spikes. Needles. Darts. Flying man eating spiders, does it bloody matter?! What you need to know is what I tell you to do and that is that! Unless besides some crazy teleportation like you showed earlier in getting here, you can whisk yourself on ahead!" She hadn't meant to raise her voice but now it was echoing down the long chambers, her face a bit red.

Three times she had asked and she still had no answer. Every time, she got a little closer to letting it go, but as long as there was still a tint of heat to her bottom Elly was not about to let this woman off easy, especially if they were supposed to be working together. She let out a disgruntled sigh, stopping and watching as Lara took careful, calm steps. She facepalmed. The woman looked ridiculous. This all felt like a waste of time.

"Yeaah, okay, spooky spiders, oooh, I get it." She huffed, "I'm not a kid, you know? I-In fact, you actually seem like you don't know, given what you just did to me-" Elly continued to pester, walking around to Lara's side to show her her impatient face.

As Lara turned around, fully ready to give the girl a piece of her mind (and possibly her palm), her brown eyes widened as she exclaimed."FOR GOD'S SAKE MOVE YOUR BLOODY FO-"

All it took was a rush of air. The ancient traps were nearly silent, but efficient and with the trigger of the college student's steps, soon one was shooting upwards, a ten foot spear of polished wood and sharp stone on the end. Closing her eyes as she was unable to watch, Lara waited for the inevitable sound of pain and most likely death that would follow. However as a few moments passed, she slowly opened and eye, and then the other as she gazed in astonishment.

Whether the god's of this temple were being cruel or kind, it seemed fate had dipped it's hand into events as the spear had not only missed Elly's body entirely, but the girl seemed utterly fine. Well. Subjectively speaking. Now the English woman was wincing as she saw tangled around the end of the spear, a familiar patch of fabric, the strings connected to none other than the undergarment Elly had been wearing underneath. Having torn through the back of her skirt, the long pole was currently suspending the poor girl a few feet off the ground, silence now as Lara took in the sight.


And then came the laughter. Long and free, Lara doubled over as tears sprung to her eyes, gasping for breath as waves of mirth overcame her.

It was hard to look a woman in the face who had only a few minutes previously had stripped and put you over their knee, especially when they were as topless as this one was, but Elly put on her best stern expression and refused to budge if it meant getting her answers. No more distractions now! She wanted an apology and some idea of where she was! “No, don’t give me that! Just tell me-!” She moved fast to cut Lara off, but something beneath her feet seemed to move faster.

Elly didn’t see what was jumping up her skirt so much as she felt it, but she had no idea how much of a bullet she just dodged until the end of a pointed spear already had ripped straight through the dainty fabric of her khaki skirt. “What the-EEP!” She squealed. As if it weren’t bad enough to have her clothes impaled… the spear had invited itself right between the leg holes of her thong and was obviously meant for a bigger target, because in seconds her feet were ripped from the ground and she was left suspended in midair. “WhattheHELLwhattheHELLwhattheHELL!!!”

A fearsome wedgie split through Elly’s cheeks and the thin fabric wasn’t nice enough to not grind against her crotch either, turning the girl’s face a bright red while she desperately pulled on the bottom of her skirt to cover back over her front, though her back was hopelessly exposed already. “Why are you laughing?! S-Stop! Stop it! This isn’t funnyyy!” She whined, “Help me downnn!”

"Oh this is just rich! Maybe I don't need the treasure, I've already struck gold with this!" Grinning cheekily as the squirming girl tried to cover her modesty, Lara was almost tempted to leave her hanging up until it ripped.
Immediately however the thought of her falling to the floor only to trigger more traps made her realize perhaps that wasn't the best course of action. Still, it looked sturdy enough and perhaps maybe she could let it last a little longer.


"Alright alright I'll get you down, no need to get your knickers in a twist." A horrible pun, but oh so fitting at this moment, causing the explorer to grin wider as she took a few tentative steps forward, only to stop. "Hm...you know. Maybe I oughta wait a bit. Seeing as how you think I don't know what I'm talking about. Maybe an apology is in order." She folded her arms, now gazing at Elly with an unflinching look.

She’s still laughing?! Why is she still laughing?! It’s starting to matter less and less how hot this perfect stranger is, she can NOT just LAUGH while she’s been hung up to dry like a wet towel by her thong on a spear! “S-Shut up!” Elly demanded, though was not in much of a position to do so. Her fingers scraped at the tail of her dress more and more but the damn thing wouldn’t go down far enough to give her any privacy! And any thoughts about unhooking herself disappeared the minute she looked back and saw the razor-sharp spear she’d be putting herself at risk of touching.

“Oh, w-would you?! I mean - please! Thank you!” Elly shook her head. How can she still be sassy in a time like this?! Gravity was weighing her down far enough that her feet were dangling right above the ground, but her thong stayed stupidly sturdy, keeping her far out of reach. And it wasn’t like the underwear itself breaking was a superior option - she didn’t want to walk through a trap-filled temple fully commando!

Good thing this woman was about to help her down, at least. Right? No? Perfect.

“What?!” Elly squealed, her voice turning so shrill that the bats living in the tomb might think she was one of them. “A-Are you serious?! C-Can’t you be a little sensitive?! I c-could’ve died and a-all I wanted to know was why you s-ss… hit me earlier!”
