I always thought that One Piece was obviously the superior out of the four of them.

DBZ is overrated over here in America. It should JUST say DB and that's it. Dragonball has far more value and entertainment in it.

Bleach was boring the second I looked into it. I don't like the character designs, I don't like the type of story, and none of it is appealing at all to me. Absolutely none of it. I'm not saying that it's bad, just no universally engaging.

Naruto, while I'm still following the series, is a humiliating joke as of now.

One Piece has the awesome balance of humor, action, adventure, and drama all wrapped up in a perfect blend so that one never outways the other and never seems forced. There's no wonder why the series is a massive juggernaught in Japan.

Yeah, I agree that Naruto has gotten a little.... well, I wouldn't call it a humiliating joke, but it has gotten a bit worse since the beginning. I'm still following it though, and I think it still has some potential. ^^

Bleach, is probably my most favourite manga as of now. I love the artwork, plots, well, pretty much everything about it. Apart from the fact that Kubo cannot kill off a single character that's good. He just cuts off their hands and arms... he did that to Soi Fong, and I love her.... ToT.... But other than that, I love it ^^

DB was best, DBZ went kinda overboard, admittedly, and DBGT was a good idea, but a little random.

One Piece is a great manga, but now, the one time they kill any character, they traumatise Luffy, and we don't know what he'll be like when he wakes up. and you're right about the way they balance the humor and drama to make sure it's never too dramatic or funny. And it always has the awesome genre of adventure ^^

DBGT was a terrible idea in my opinion. It may have had fighting in it but it abandoned the premise of it being a "Martial Arts" series for s purely "Save the world" one. DBZ was like this too but at least it had an actual story and character development (up until the Buu Saga where Toriyama ran out of ideas and decided to just wing it with this Majin nonsense popping the he'll outta nowhere). Not only that but I can't get into shows where everyone is old and stale. It's defidently one of the reasons why I can't get into Bleach (not so much the "old" problem. More so the "Stale" problem). Again though, I'm not saying it's bad.

DBZ was first so that gives it my vote. Bleach to me is like DBZ with swords, and I don't like copycat shows so...

I would include Hajime no Ippo into legendary status on the grounds that it has been running since 1989 with a very, very large fan-base.

Hmm old thread. Well might as well give my opinions.

Of the 4 you picked I have a very definite favorite in One Piece. There's just...really nothing I dislike about it. The art is good, especially in showing the emotions of the characters. The comedy parts of it make me laugh, while the fights are just spectacular. The characters themselves I like quite a bit also. And perhaps moreso than any of those other reasons the story is just excellent. Oda really knows how tell one. He doesn't leave any holes or unanswered questions, and nothing seems insignificant he pretty much plans everything out (Like how they all met Laboon and then 10 rl years later he introduces Brooke who he had planned all along to tie in with that.) It's...I dunno it just makes you feel involved with what's happening in the story. And no series can make you hate a fictional villain better.

Naruto is...meh to me. The story is just kinda average. I liked the story better when it was about a hardworking kid trying to become hokage, instead now it's completely a yaoi between Naruto and Sasuke. I like some of the characters but definitely not all of them. Still the comedy is okay sometimes and the fights aren't bad. I've really hated the fights in the war so far though/

Bleach is probably the lowest one right now to me. Only for one reason, the story. Kubo leaves so many things unexplained, and just seems to forget about others. Now he's brought in this fullbring stuff which makes everything even more confusing than it already was. Now other than the horrible story I do like just about everything else. The art, characters, comedy, and especially the fights. But you'd do better just skipping ahead to said fights than dealing with that story.

DBZ, I agree pretty much with what someone in here said earlier DB>DBZ>DBGT. Still it's a classic.

Well those are my opinions on those four, and while I agree there should be more choices One Piece is my favorite series right now, and i've read/watched ALOT of good ones. Besides these four there are: Yu Yu Hakusho, D.Gray Man, Soul Eater, Fairy Tail, Hunter X Hunter (Well I used to like it at least. It's by the same author as Yu Yu Hakusho but the very last arc...he basically made a copy of cell from DBZ and started killing off all his cool characters. Even the main character can't fight ever again.) Gantz, Gintama, Cowboy Bebop, Inuyasha isn't bad but it's like a girls dbz imo, Spice and Wolf, Fullmetal Alchemist, Evangelion, Wolf's Rain, Gundams, Katekyo Hitman Reborn, I of course have a soft spot for Gurren Laggann! Ah...there are just so many good anime's and manga's. It's impossible to make a definitive BEST list since peoples opinions will always be different in what they like.
