The daughter of the Haruno family did not pick up on Naruto’s excitement. Despite the fact that she had matured as a shinobi and her fundamental shinobi jutsu had grown in turn, her naivety and sheltered nature to these more basic desires of life had not. Naruto was a brother to her, and sadly for him, her thoughts and desires lay in a certain brooding red-eyed runaway who neither of the two nin had seen for three years or more.

After a time, Sakura smiled, her rage abated, “It’ll give you something to think about~!” she then looked to her childhood friend, and smiled more sincerely, “We can stand up and eat, can’t we? …You coming?” she asked, extending a gloved hand to him after the kyuubi-host had set himself to rights.

“Are you going to show sensei all your new moves later?” the kunoichi with the pink hair enquired, head tilted with an innocent sweetness that showed her anger had all but fizzled out, her annoyance spent, “Imagine if you managed to beat him fair and square, huh?” her green eyes gleamed warmly, “Not that sensei always plays fair, right?”

The tall, open gates of Konoha Village were welcoming as always as the remains of the original team 7 passed them side by side, into the bustling streets and busy afternoon foot traffic.

Naruto let his stomach pick up on his lack of not responding to her questions. While he was mad at her for spanking him and embarrassing him like this, he was very hungry and getting spanked made him even hungrier. Covering his front with his hands, he walked over to his discarded clothes with his red butt pointing at Sakura now. He pulled his gray briefs up first, wincing as they made contact and redness still peaking out from the bottom. He then pulled his pants back up to their original place before wiping the remaining tears from his still red eyes.

As they walked, Naruto was a bit crass with her. He gave one word answers to her questions including “yes” to all of her questions about sparring with sensi. He was pouty and a bit annoyed that she can act like everything was normal when he was bare bottomed over her lap not too long ago. But his stomach commanded him to follow her as she led the way for them to get lunch

The soft footfalls of his bare feet padded on the wooden floors of the Hyuuga Main Family villa, situated on their lofty estate in the Konoha suburbs less frequented by the less wealthy of shinobi, as Hyuuga Neji, of the lesser family branch, made his way to his cousin's quarter at his uncle's keen instruction.

The youth Jounin was conflicted, his dark eyebrows knitted as he stared ahead of him, keeping his head high as he had always endeavoured to do.

He had held her at arms length in shame since their fated battle in the chuunin exams, his pale eyes downcast in reverence whenever they passed in the Hyuuga halls or gardens, even when Lady Hinata tried to speak to him one on one.

Now, he would do everything in his power for her. To protect her. But now, his Uncle and Lady Hinata's stern father, Lord Hiashi, the Head of the Hyuuga Family, had ordered he to mete out punishment to Hinata in his stead. For her many training failures and having her mind and 'priorities elsewhere' Neji clenched his fists as he stood before the sliding door to the azure-haired kunoichi's room, unsure of what to do. He could not oppose the Head of the Hyuuga Family, yet he did not wish to raise his hand again to his tender, tentative cousin as he had so long again...

The youth with the lengthy, dark tresses kneeled before the sliding doors, his head bowed, "Lady Hinata...?"

Hinata was still in her bed, a mat on the floor with her favorite blanket covering her. As she got over, she found herself getting into the habit of oversleeping. It wasn’t something that would cause alarms for most families, she wasn’t out all night drinking alcohol or partying with friends or spending her free time with boys. But regardless of the reason, she was in bed well beyond the time most people her age are already up and getting her day started.

Hearing a familiar voice call to her, she groaned before her eyes opened and she couldn’t help by gulp. “N-Neji?” She called back as she took the comfortable blanket off her frame and looked down as she noticed she was in only her modest gray pjs. She had blucky pajama pants that were tied firmly around her waist and a long sleeved pajama shirt that was buttoned all the way across her front as she kicked her bare feet to the floor

"Yes." Neji responded, almost stupidly, lacking confidence to move forward. His tone never belied the feelings that lay beneath the surface of his pale eyes, no matter how passionate, despite this.

His fists clenched again on his knees in his subservience, but he soon forced on, "I've been sent by Lord Hiashi," he paused, unsure of how to proceed, looking to the shadows beyond Hinata's door, this evident without his Byakugan to assist his sight, "...to deliver..." he paused again, brows knitted as he agonised over how best to approach this, "...the usual instruction." he finished.

Choosing the term that Hiashi described even the punishment that was meted out on Neji himself on the rare occasions this was earned. The young Hyuuga's discipline by the Main Branch had been hotly contested by the youth's hot-blooded sensei, Maito Gai, who had felt it all too cruel and lacking love, Neji surmised with a flush. Just because it was not delivered with embarrassing showers of rib-cracking hugs and tears of regret, he assumed.

Bringing himself back to the present, Neji bowed his head again at the closed door, "Forgive me, Lady Hinata..."

Hinata blushed as Neji explained why he was at the door and blushed. She immediately knew what he was beating around the bush about and it made her heart race and her skin crawl as she immediately began to feel a wave of dread take over. He planned to spank her. A hard and embarrassing bare bottom spanking was not as common for Hinata as it was for some of her peers but it didn’t make it less humiliating and undignifying each time it happened. To make it worse, Neji was going to be the one doing it. It’s bad enough when a guy around her age is going to be the one doing it, but from her experience Neji always gives the worst spankings. "I'm going to come in." He stated with a gentle authority, and he gently pulled slid open the door to reveal the mess beyond. A small droplet of sweat slid down his temple, having witnessed messes like this only when he arrived at his dropout teammate Rock Lee's apartment on mornings where the other boy had been training none stop and throwing his weights and clothes and useless books every where, not caring where they fell.

He recovered quickly, and moved inside fluidly, closing the screen behind him with a gentle 'clap' of wood.

Sitting there for a time and not raising his gaze to meet his cousin's just yet, Neji simply surveyed the disorder. His little cousin had been getting this way the more time that Uzumaki Naruto remained away from the village in training. There was a sadness inside Hinata that he could almost sense, which seemed to come out in her acting in a manner that she would never have. She was always obedient, tidy, clean, and perfect as a woman in his view. He flushed, before giving his head a single shake and closing his eyes, adopting a sense of sternness.

"Lady Hinata... your lack of effort in your studies and your training has been noted, and mustn't continue... and your... this... disorderliness is concerning..." he tried to put it as delicately as he could, not wishing to hurt her beyond what he must.

Hinata gasped as the door opened and she saw Neji walk in and close the door behind him. She was cornered but that was the least of her worries. She couldn’t help but blush as she believes this was the first time he’s seen her in her pajamas since they were kids. While she wasn’t wearing anything remotely revealing, she couldn’t help but be embarrassed by it. On top of that, she was caked in sweat since it was a very warm morning and she was dreading what was coming as she shuffled away from him. She could only hope she didn’t smell too bad and a stain began to form under her arms. “M-May I please go bath before we do anything else?” She asked timidly

Neji regarded his unkempt cousin for a time, her dishevelled look foreign to him. She was not acting like the Hinata he knew… he could see the apprehension and shame that went beyond her punishment behind her pallid eyes, and knitted his dark brows.

After a moment, the jounin nodded his head, his eyes still downcast, flushing slightly which barely showed even through his snow-pale skin, much like Hinata’s. Had the Hyuuga heir tried this with her father Hiashi it would not have borne fruit and the girl would already be overlap and crying rivers. But Neji was more tentative and considerate of Hinata’s temperament now after his epiphany through Uzumaki Naruto and his Team. His heart was less caged up and the wire doors had been opened, so that he might seek his freedom if he chose to. He wanted the same for Hinata-sama someday, too.

As he waited for his cousin to return from the family baths which lay across the garden centre of the Hyuuga villa, the young jounin carefully tidied around his the azure-haired girl’s room, putting it into some semblance of order, taking care not to touch any clothing or anything that may cause her undue duress. He was already going to be causing her that today. Eventually, he went outside and sat stoically on the raised wooden boards reaching off into the tranquil garden from Hyuuga Hinata’s room, awaiting her return, forcing himself to remain firm and resolute.

As soon as she saw the opportunity to leave this awkward situation, she immediately bolted to get her bathing stuff. This included a basket by the door that contained everything she will need and a pink bath robe for her to wear after. Without a word being said or so much a thank you, she slid her bath time sandals onto her feet and was bolting out the door.

As she walked, she avoided as much eye contact and looks from the people in the house. She had no idea if they knew what awaited her this morning and were already thinking about how she’s going to be sore and crying later. She zoomed past them, almost tripping over her own feet as the sandals she had on were not for moving at top speed.

Soon she made it to the bathing area and began to preparing herself. She placed her stuff down nearby the tub she will be using and began to undress. She was soon standing in her pure white cotton underwear and then removed that as well as she was as naked as the day she was born. She climbed into the tub and sighed as the relaxing warm water touched her skin. Usually she was known for her quick baths but since she knew she had a long and embarrassing punishment coming after this. She found herself taking advantage of Neji’s kindness and was taking her time. It’s not like he was going to stomp in and drag her out or bath her himself like others in her family would
