New beginnings (KingCrowley)
Jamie Hellion or Jay was far from your average 19 year old. Since his birth he’s been labeled as a lost cause and several other horrid things that would have drove anyone else to the point of offing themselves, but it didn’t bother him. When he was 17 he up and left home since he was tired of the verbal and physical abuse he’d get from him father. He was born without a soul which ment he didn’t feel much of anything when it came to his emotions aside from emptiness.
Over the past two years leading up to his 19th birthday he’s stolen food and other things to survive and could always find an abandoned building to hide out in until night fall since it was safer to move around instead of during the day where he could be spotted. As of currently he was sitting on a roof top staring at the sky full of stars watching them sparkle, his short brown hair was a mess and he wasn’t exactly clean since there was a few smudges on his face and clothes.
*****
“Hopefully he’s better then the first one I had.” The demon said watching the half demon for a bit before making his presence known to him. “Hello lad.” He said stepping out from where he’d been watching his son, he had to admit, he was a handsome devil if he did say so himself and he did. The king had been interested in the man ever since he had learned of his existence and not just because Jack could post a potential threat to his crown.
He had watched him grow over the years and develop his powers in secrecy though they were still unstable and quite hard to control. “I’ve come to make you an offer, and don’t worry pet, there are no nasty tricks.” He added “I help you with your powers and in return, you do as I say and work under my wing.”

"How the hell was this my fault?!" Sam growled at his older brother, "I wasn't the one who got us lost." he huffed.
"No, but you were the one who forgot to fuel up my baby!" Dean snapped right back, grumbling to himself and starting to trudge through the empty city streets, his rifle at his side. "So now we're stranded out here with no damn car and no damn place to get gas." he muttered, glancing around, "What kind of backward town doesn't have a gas station?!"
"I don't know----but this place seems way too quiet." Sam answered, lowering his voice because it felt a thousand times louder than normal. "Where is everyone?" he frowned, keeping in step with his brother.
"Who cares? I just wanna find this damn shifter and haul my ass to bed." Dean answered, it was obvious by his bloodshot eyes and worn expression that he hadn't slept in a while. "I hope this place has a motel, and the full explicit reel of Casa-
"Dean, look." Sam hissed, lowering himself and pointing his gun up at someone sitting atop a roof, gazing up at the stars. It looked like a kid on second glance, so Sam lowered his weapon slightly.
"Aint it past your bed time, kid?" Dean called up, "Why don't you come down from there before you get yourself killed huh?" he sounded like a stern parent. He then leaned in to Sam's ear. "Probably some poor sap hopped up on pop rocks and coke." he whispered.
"What's your name?" Sam asked gently.
"Yeah---and where the hell is everyone?" Dean interjected.
**********
All his life, Jack had been told by his Mother that he was a super hero, that he was going to save the world some day. He had powers that he had never been able to explain, and his Mother had never once spoke a word of his Father---who he was or where he was. Jack grew up in his mother's care, a woman who was diagnosed with severe depression when he turned eight. Life wasn't easy---Jack had been told he was a superhero but he couldn't do anything to protect his Mother, to stop her trying to overdose or drown herself. There must have been a team of Angels watching over her though---because she always survived.
When he turned eighteen, his mother's symptoms and outlook on life was at an all time high, she was happy, she was dating a botanist and she hadn't had any suicidal tendencies in almost a year. Jack--with newfound hope for his Mother's illness--- went to University to earn his psychiatrist's degree. He'd been there only three months before being given the news that his Mother had hung herself. Jack turned to drinking and drugs and was later kicked out of University. Some Superhero. He wasn't there for his Mother and she'd been taken from him. He could have been there---he should have been there. Her death was on him. Jack then got with a young girl named Casey---a total paranormal fanatic and an ex hunter and the two of them ended up investigating some old legend about a work house owner named Samuel Isaac who used to hang his workers from the rafters.
Later he found out that one of those workers had been a blood relative of his---not only that---but a worker that got away from Mr. Isaac and got him locked up. Pieces started fitting together for Jack. Did his Mother hang herself? Or---was it a spirit trying to get revenge? Jack and Casey decided to take on the hunter life and hunt down the son of a bitch who killed Jack's mother.
"I can handle my own Jack, after all I was the one who saved your ass from that werewolf back in Arizona." Casey laughed softly, taking the flashlight from Jack's hand and shining it around the abandoned shoe factory. "I cant believe there's been so much bloodshed here."
Jack said nothing in response to that. Casey was the love of his life and if something happened to her, then he would never forgive himself. "Just stay close." he answered, his heart pounding in his chest. Finally---he could have his shot at revenge. He walked along the cold wood floor and then his eyes widened, "Casey!" he yelled, taking her arm and then aiming his rifle at a very well dressed figure who just appeared before them.
"W-What?" Jack asked, frowning somewhat. "Who the hell are you?---Or rather, what are you?" he demanded to know.

Jamie turned his head hearing them approach and looked at them after hearing one of the men call in his direction. He had a few good sized rocks up on the roof with him and stood up with one in either hand. He was skeptical on if he should trust them and instead didn’t answer them back. He stood at about 5’9 which made him seem taller on the roof top. He could see their silhouettes and caught a glimpse of their guns glimmering, he definitely didn’t trust them now. When he was 18 a nice man had taught him how to throw a baseball like a professional and he’d held onto that skill.
He got into the stance and then proceeded to hurl the rock in their direction as though it were a baseball adding a bit of extra force behind it. He aimed for the smaller man then threw the second rock at the larger one before sliding down the roof top and ran off towards the other buildings to get away. He had no idea who these people were but if he had learned anything, it was that people with guns usually weren’t very friendly and were looking for him.
****
“Right, of course, where are my manners. My name is Crowley, and I am the king of hell.” He said snapping his fingers making the guns vanish. “I show you how to control your powers and you work under my wing and do as I say.” He repeated the offer sounding a little annoyed at having to say it twice. “The choice is yours, say yes and your little girlie here goes on about her business unharmed, nor will she ever remember meeting you, say no, and I kill her. The choice is yours really.”
He wouldn’t really kill her, he’s the king of hell not a monster. He would just make it seem as though she was obliterated into a million little pieces when in reality she would be sent off back home and the whole thing would feel like a messed up dream. Of course either way she wouldn’t remember meeting Jamie, that could too many problems and the boy was messed up enough as it was dragging the weight of his mother’s death around. Crowley has stopped her so many times but he hadn’t reached her in time when she hung herself and by the time he got there she was already to far gone.

Dean jumped back when a rock came hurling at him and he frowned, "Hey! You little shit, get back here!" he growled, sprinting off after the little punk even though it probably wasn't in their best interests right now.
"Dean! Dean he's not---" Dean had already vanished down the street and Sam sighed, "--worth it." great, now he had to go gallivanting off after his brother before he ended up breaking some kid's nose. They had better things to do, like take down a shifter in the area. Sam put his rifle on his back and then started sprinting off after Dean and this mysterious punk.
"Hey!" Dean shouted, managing to catch up to the boy, taking his shoulder. Dean whirled him around and clenched his fist. "The hell you doing throwing rocks at people?!" he demanded to know and then frowned---looking quite freaked out by the dull, emotionless look in the boy's eyes---like he was dead on the inside. "Man---you don't look so good." he told him, releasing the grip on his shoulder only slightly.
"Dean! Dean! Please tell me you didn't clock him one." Sam yelled, running up to the two of them. When he got to them both, he put his hands up in a placating manner. "Hey---listen man we're really sorry if we startled you or---or whatever, we're not a threat." he assured. "Dean." he said through gritted teeth. "Let him go."
Reluctantly, Dean did and Sam nodded. "So---what's your name? I'm Sam and this is my brother, Dean."
**********
Casey's eyes widened when Crowley made the guns in their hands disappear and then offered her boyfriend an ultimatum. "No. You'll have to kill me." she answered fiercely, standing in front of Jack. "I'd rather die than live without knowing him." she said, lacing her fingers with his as they held hands. "Please, just leave us alone." she didn't know if this was something to do with Samuel Isaac or Jack's mother's death or what---but she knew this was bad, and she wouldn't let her boyfriend be manipulated.
"Casey---no, it's okay." Jack assured, standing at her side now and looking at her desperately. "I cant let you die." he promised and took her face into his hands. "I'll find you." he promised, placing his lips onto hers, kissing her passionately. This was the girl he planned on spending the rest of his life with. Now it was looking hopeless.
"Jack---" she breathed, eyes pleading. "Please baby---"
"I love you." Jack then snapped his fingers. He swore to himself he'd never use his powers on Casey---he swore never to use them because he wanted to be as normal as she was---and make her proud. Casey vanished into thin air, unharmed on a tropical beach somewhere in the middle east. She was safe.
Jack's brown eyes then narrowed and flashed red for a moment, much like Crowley's demonic red hue. "Don't think for a second that I wont destroy your ass." he growled, unaware that he wouldn't have enough power to take down a King of Hell. He could hurt him sure, but Crowley could always hurt him right back. "I'll do what you want---but I have one condition." he told him firmly, eyes still narrowed and glare locked on to the Demon. "You help me find Samuel Isaac so I can make the mother fucker pay." he ordered.
"Otherwise it's no deal." He was a born negotiator just like Daddy.

Jay ran as far and as fast as he could hearing Dean’s footsteps quickly gaining ground on him, which wasn’t surprising since he didn’t always score on food so he was on the skinny side. The boy stumbled and fell back against the side of large empty building when the hunter finally caught up to him and whirled him around to face him, his back placed firmly against the wall behind him. The circles under his eyes were dark and once bright blue eyes had faded to dull grey over the years.
“I didn’t ask for your opinion.” He said narrowing his eyes at the hunter feeling his grip loosen a bit on his shoulder, his attention then went to Sam as the much larger man approached where they stood then relaxed a little after he forced Dean to release him. “....Jamie” He answered tilting his head up to look at Sam due to his height.
****
“Don’t tempt me love.” He said to Casey when she said he would have to kill her then watched her and Jack exchange words for a bit up until Jack snapped his fingers and made her vanish. “Negotiating with the top dog, very cute pup.” Crowley said with an amused chuckle as he crossed his arms though he was thinking. Find this Samuel Issac fella should be a cake walk, he will just send his little attack demons out to search and bring him back once he is located.
After a few moments Crowley put his hand out towards the boy “Alright Jackie, I agree to your terms. Just know there will be consequences for disobedience and stepping out of line.” He added once they had shooken hands in agreement, deep down he was proud that his boy was a born negotiator, and he was sure it had helped to get him far in life but one thing can be certain, there is no way the lad could talk his way out of a punishment not with Crowley anyway.

Sam was relieved when the kid didn't go running off again after they introduced themselves. He always believed people could be reasoned with. "Jamie, huh, nice to meet you." Sam answered and then looked at Dean who was looking the kid up and down. Sam had to admit there was something off about him---but nothing he could put his finger on. "So uh---Jamie, you haven't seen or heard anything---uh weird going on around here, have you?" he asked after a moment, "You know---people being in two places at once...that kind of thing?"
"Yeah and where's the freaking gas station in this town?" Dean interjected. Something was definitely off about this kid, he looked devoid of all emotion and that concerned Dean. He was like an Angel with the crestfallen look of a broken human. Come to think of it----where WAS everyone in this town? Looking at all the houses, they all looked empty. No cars outside, no late night TV light blaring through open windows. Nothing.
The entire place gave Dean the creeps. Dean turned his attention back to the kid and paused. "So how old are you kid?"
*********
"Don't call me pup." Jack answered seriously, his eyes still narrowed. Honestly he didn't want anything to do with this asshole but it seemed as though he had no choice. Bad luck just seemed to follow him wherever he went---like he was cursed or something. The boy looked down at the Demon's outstretched hand and hesitated for a moment before taking it and shaking it in agreement. "It's Jack. Not Jackie---only my Mom got to call me that." he answered with a small growl and then he frowned in concern.
Consequences for disobedience? What the hell did that mean?
"What do you mean consequences?" he asked after a moment, not trusting this Demon one bit. He'd never met a demon before but he'd heard they were untrustworthy little bastards.

“Two places at once like a shifter or something?” He asked seeming to catch on to what they were talking about pretty quickly. He might of been alone and practically a freak of nature with the whole having no soul business, but he knew about the things that went bump in the night and had his fare share of run ins with Hunters. He looked around then shrugged a little “Town was empty when I got here a few hours ago and there is a gas station a bit further ahead I think.” He added putting his hands in the pocket of his jeans which had more holes in them then Dean’s did.
“19 and stop starin at me like I’m some sorta puzzle or somethin.” He said looking at them before he started to walk down the sidewalk leading towards the gas station expecting them to follow. In all honesty they didn’t seem like bad people nor really seem like a real threat to his safety at least not right now anyway. Once at the gas station Jamie watched them curiously before he turned his attention back up at the stars blankly.
****
“I will call you what I please, you work for me now Jack and I will have no more of that attitude got it.” He snapped at the boy before calming his temper once again. “Now, as long as you behave you won’t have to worry about the consequences.” He said though he hadn’t thought of a punishment yet since he usually just killed those who refused to listen but he wouldn’t kill his kid.
“Now, we have other things to attend to.” Crowley said snapping his fingers as they appeared in his lair “as for those clothes I suggest upgrading to a suit pup, I run an establishment not a zoo. Can’t have you running around like a hooligan.” The king declared snapping his fingers while one of his many servants brought out a few different suits for him to choose from.

Sam and Dean exchanged looks when it seemed this kid was aware of things from nightmare land. It wasn't often they came across someone like that unless they were another hunter. "Uh---yeah, actually." Sam answered after he realized too much silence had passed between the three of them, "We're hunting a shifter---and I mean, we could use all the help we can get." he hinted, thinking they could make some use out of the kid if he knew what he was dealing with. After all he would know this town better than they did. He'd know the best way to get around.
Dean then gave Sam a look and took his arm, moving a little bit away from the kid. "I'm not babysitting." he told him right off the bat. "And I don't want that kid's blood on my hands."
"I know Dean---but he's got an advantage--he knows the area better than we do." Sam argued back, keeping his voice hushed. "And I'm pretty sure the kid can hold his own--" he added, though he wasn't confident about that last part, he was just trying to convince Dean to give the kid a shot.
Eventually, the two Winchesters started following Jamie down the path along to a gas station---which was too far away from Baby for Dean's liking. "Thanks kid." he grumbled, filling up a tank with as much fuel as he could get. He glanced around and frowned somewhat when he saw no cashier---no employees---nothing. "This place gives me the willies." he grumbled.
"So you say you got here a few hours ago?" Sam asked, looking to Jamie. "Have you seen anyone else in the area at all?" it didn't seem like a Shifter's regular hunting grounds.
*********
Jack didn't answer, he just rolled his eyes and decided that for the time being it was in his best interests to do whatever this asshole told him to do. For some unlucky reason he'd taken an interest in him and Jack knew he was just going to have to go with it. He still wanted to know what these consequences were, but thought maybe he was better off not knowing after all. The Demon could murder him if he wanted to---so he thought he better not test those waters.
The next thing he knew, they were stood in a rather extravagant looking room, something like a grand hotel suite with all the trimmings. "Nice place." he mumbled, he did have an eye for the finer things in life, and if he could he would surround himself in luxury---much like his Father. "A suit? I don't think so. I don't do suits." Jack answered straight away, shaking his head.
Jack looked at the different suits and dismissed each one of them. "I'll stick to my jeans and shirt, thanks."

“Nope, whole place was empty but I’m not complaining.” He answered plainly “No use in being around people who don’t welcome you.” He added casually as he turned away to start walking again, he wasn’t exactly keen on testing his luck with his life right now so he’d figure he’d get lost before they decided to off him. He didn’t really know much about hunting except for in order to kill a vampire you gotta cut it’s head off. The only reason he knew that was because he’d heard an older hunter passing his wisdom down to a younger one who was still a bit new at the hunting business.
“See you guys around or somethin.” He said as he started back down the road from where they came before turning a corner only to get swallowed up by the shadows that filled the ally way. Aside from the empty feeling that had been in his chest for as long as he could remember there was a new feeling that started to tug at him, it was the fact that he was completely alone or at least that was how it felt and how it has been feeling for a while now, he just recently started to acknowledge it.
***
“I see you have an eye for the more expensive things in life.” He said trying not to sound proud that this kid had similar taste as his own when it came to things. It was only when Jack refused the suit did he get a little frustrated with him. “I will let it slip today, but tomorrow I expect you in a suit.” He said sternly much like a father would sound. He wanted jack to look proper, after all he was the unknowingly the prince so he expected him to start dressing like it.
“Tommrow we will start working on your powers for now why don’t you run along and explore after being shown to your room.” He said snapping his fingers once more while sitting in his thrown like any king would do whilst a different servent showed up and escorted Jack away to his new room. It was a massive room with a king sized bed, a huge tv that took up most of the wall and filled with various other expensive looking things he probably didn’t need and instead were just there to be there. He had a walk in closet and even had his own private bathroom.

Dean hauled his can of gas back over to Sam and Jamie and sighed. "I guess I'm just gonna have to take this without paying?" he asked, glancing around for any sign of life. Something just wasn't right about this place being so abandoned. Did everyone just leave in a hurry? Or were they hiding from something? Either way---it didn't seem like a Shifter's regular hunting grounds. Dean then turned his attention back to Jamie when he said he would see them around. "Yep, guess we will." he answered, nodding. "C'mon Sammy."
Sam frowned for a moment, the idea of leaving Jamie alone in a town like this just didn't sit well with him. "Hey---wait." he said gently, putting a hand on his shoulder to stop him getting too far. "Why don't we all stick together? For now at least?" he added. "I mean---no one should be alone in some ghost town." he offered Jamie a gentle smile. "You're welcome to come with us, Jamie."
*******
"Well, growing up---we didn't have a lot of stuff. My Mom struggled with money and sometimes we went days without a proper meal. I remember Mom had to heat up a can of beans on a radiator one time---and I used my powers to speed up the process----the can exploded." he smiled fondly, remembering his mother. "She wasn't mad---Mom never got mad. She never once spanked me or shouted at me---and I was a little monster at times." he chuckled nervously. "Mom always said that if my Dad had been around he would have been strict, and probably would have spanked me and yelled at me." he wasn't sure why he was opening up to this Demon---but he had no one else to talk to he supposed.
Jack rose a brow when Crowley said he still expected him to wear a suit tomorrow. "I'll---think about it I guess." he answered and then glanced to the door. "Sure---I'm always up for a little exploration." he answered and walked out of the door, not even sure where he was going to go. The place was huge, like a palace or something. Jack happened upon a large door with the words 'Crowley only, trespassers will be slaughtered' on it. Well---Jack couldn't help but be curious.
He pushed the door open and stepped inside.
