"Don' like," Lexi felt the need to tell him but she wasn't a brat about it and managed to keep her voice low so that she wouldn't run the risk of ending up back over his lap since that was not a position that she wanted to be in. Ever again as far as the child was concerned. Lexi looked down at that point, having pretty much forgotten about getting something to eat despite the fact that she was hungry.

Lexi pouted once again when he told her that she would get used to it and would be better because of it, the six year old of course not believing that one. "Nuh uh," she said in something of a forlorn voice, the little girl sighing before she asked, "Can I get down?" She didn't want to be on his lap anymore but she wasn't willing to struggle to get down after what he'd just done, not wanting to once again be put over his knee.

Lexi was pretty quick to squirm from his lap when he told her that she could down but once she was once again standing on her own two feet the little girl wasn't really sure what to do with herself. So she just took a few steps away from him and just stood there, fidgeting and wondering what she was supposed to do now. Part of her wanted to go and look around but another part was afraid that wasn't something she was allowed to do so she was conflicted.

Lexi looked toward the couch when he suggested that she go and sit on one of the pillows and after a moment of thought the little girl moved in that direction. Climbing up onto the couch Lexi sat down on the cushion, once again just looking around the house and trying to take in her surroundings. It still seemed like a really big house to her and she thought that it could be fun to explore if the guy left her alone, which she was expecting since her mom had done it frequently.

Lexi was still looking around in interest when he came back with the toast, the little girl taking it from him with a quietly murmured word of thanks. Taking the toast the child nibbled on it, seeming to be trying to stretch out how long it took her to eat it, which was sort of sad to watch really. Lexi didn't seem to notice and just continued to nibble on the toast, the butter that he had added to it something that she wasn't used to since usually she was just given plain toast.
