New comic strip drawing
Hey there. I'm getting the urge to draw a new pic based on some comic strip characters, but I'm having trouble deciding what strip and what characters, so I'm putting it out there for suggestions.
The only limits are:
1. No strips whose style is pretty realistic/detailed. eg Mary Worth, etc. It's a bit beyond my ability to copy at my level.
2. I don't care for role-reversals, for the most part, so pairings like Daughter/Mother are out.
3. I'm not personally into anthropomorphics, so humans only, pls.
4. No April from For Better or For Worse. God, I hate that character.
5. Please remember that this isn't a poll, and the most popular won't necessarily be the one chosen. I'm just looking for suggestions to push me a certain way.
Thank you for any input.

I'd pick Curtis, getting it from his mother. There's very little Curtis art out there, or any other series that uses black characters, really. Luann from her mom is good, too.

Well Boondock is the first that comes to mind, but cypher's suggestion might have influenced. that. Both Riley and Huey make great spankee's but for different reasons.
My Next thouggs are would be Foxtrot, and Calvin & Hobbs 8)

I agree with the Boondocks, but for Riley and Jasmine only. Riley is always getting it on the show so that is a constant and Jasmine I felt could use a spanking a couple of times during the show.

Huey got the belt a few times in the strip, he might be smart but he behaviour is far from perfect, after all he is on the terrest watchlist for a reason

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone. In the end, I decided to do one based on the Luann strip. I did a couple attempts to try both Curtis and Boondocks art, but I found it too hard to copy the styles. Sometimes, there is just something about an artist's technique that I can't do, for some reason.
Also, both Curtis and Boondocks have spankings in the actual comics, whether on-screen or implied, so the real artist does them himself.
Again, thanks to all who responded.

It's a surprisingly difficult suggestion to make... Most of the newspaper comics I haven't come to dislike star nothing but animals. I think the only human-centric ones still running are Doonesbury and The Phantom. :P

True, Dr.
In fact, the more I look at a lot of the strips they still have out, I find that I don't care for them, or have a style that would be hard to copy. There are probably less than a half-dozen. FBoFW, Foxtrot, Arlo and Janis, and now Luann, are the few I've dared to try so far.
