Nightly Lessons Book I: The Book of Beginnings

[Peeker]

"Mikeal! Oh, c'mon! I was just about to stop! This..." He looked angrily at the man, eyes wet. "D-d-don't! C'mon!" The boy's arms were crossed limply, and his body drooped forward. "I'm sorry..." He murmured. "I'll listen next time p-promise!" He slowly reached for the toothbrush again.

Mikeal growled angrily and set the brush down to the side and picked Janus up. He quickly placed one foot onto the toilette and drapped Janus across it, and pulled the bottom of his pyjamas down along with his under shorts.

SMACK! SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK!

He landed five firm spankes to the youth's rear before picking him upo again and pulling his clothing back in place.

"Sit down and open your mouth Janus. I told you to get ready for bed. I told you to save your game and you didn't," He scolded and picked the toothbrush up again and forced Janus gently to look op. "So apparently today, that's a little hard to ask of you to do alone. So now I'm going to do it for you."

He was tired himself, the nearing of dawn often did that to vampires, not all of them, but Mikeal was one. He looked sternly at him and
held the brush in his hand.

"Open your mouth Janus," He growled. "I will not ask again. You're already in trouble."

[Peeker]

Janus lowered his eyes. He was just angry, now. This wasn't fair: He had saved the game... not when he'd been told to, but.... he didn't have to do this to him.

"Hate you!" Janus said, harshly, before opening his mouth wide. His eyes angrily glared at Mikeal, the little boy's big temper blooming at precisely the wrong time.

"Good boy," Mikeal ignorred Janus' reaction, and set about brushing his teeth. He was a little sadden by it but I shoved it aside with the child being cranky and upset over the sudden change of treatment. "And right now I don't care Janus. It was a simple request and you didn't follow it. Spit."

He had finished brushing them, leaving Janus' mouth full of toothpaste foa as he moved to grab a rag to soap up and wash the boy's face with

Janus spat and rinsed slowly, eyes stinging with tears at his embarrassment. "M-mikeal! I-- I can do it! S-stop! Please!" He begged. He leaned forward towards the man, looking up at him - his anger couldn't outpace the shame he felt right now. "I.... I'll be good... I didn' mean it..."

Mikeal ignorred him and started to wash the boy's face the same way he recalled his father don't. He was firm about it, but not harsh, making sure to scrub the skin but not grind it.

"Janus hold still," Mikela ordered as the boy trying to avoid the treatment only to get soap in his eyes and yelp. "I said to hold still. Here..."

He picked the boy up and held him over the sink, washing the soap of him gently.

"Tak eyour time with your eyes and tell me when it stops hurting." Mikeal said in a calmer voice. He refused to yell at him for this. He was angry, but he would be in control, unlike Razziel was.

Janus' fists balled up, and he furiously scrubbed at his eyes with wet hands, breathing hard and fast. He was a furious little child.

There was a near-silence in the room while the boy gasped and splashed. He remained still, blinking slowly.

"Doesn't hurt." He said, bitterly, when he was done.

"Don't use that tone with me. You have only yourself to blame for this," Mikeal gave him a hard smackk on the rear. ""If you have done what I told you to, you wouldn't be in this position. Now, lets get you into a dry set of pjs."

While Janus had been rinsing his eyes, the water had splashed up onto his top leaving it very wet. Stil not setting the boy down, Mikeal walking in Janus' room and pulled out a set of baby blue pajamas.

"Right, we'll change into these..." Mikeal changed his shirt first and then pulled his bottoms off. "But before we get those bottoms on, mind telling me why you feeel the need to ignor me when I tell you to do something when it's more then and hour past your bedtime?"

[Peeker]

Janus stood there, blushing, hands folded in front of him as he covered himself up.

"I wasn't ignorin' you! I was just finishing up....." Janus insisted. "I wanted to beat that last guy... an' right after I did that, I was done - I asked you if I could get another... if y' said no, I woulda stopped!" The boy explained, unrepentantly. He wanted pants - right now, not much else concerned him!

He was very aware of the smell of paint, and the fact that he didn't belong in such a cool room.... especially without pants on.

"Don't lie to me Janus. I may be old but I reconize a Game Over Screen when I see it,"

Mikeal glared at him and noticed the boy's discomfort. Smacked himself on the forhead. He had forgotten the window was open. He quickly dressed Janus in the pjs before picking him up and walking back to his own room.

"I don't appreciat this Janus. I will not have you treat me like some blind idiot," He sat down on the bed and forced Janus to look at him. "Do you understnad me? I will not have it!"
