Mikeal smiled and followed Aleks, grabbing a camera along the way. The sight that befell them was beyond adorable.

Janus had curled tighter to Alice in her sleep as she had him. She was using one of Janus' arms as a pillow while her tiny fingers had wrapped about several strands of his brown hair and her other hand lay fisted near her face, giving the illusion of her sucking her thumb like a toddler, and Janus looked like the older brother protecting her from monster.

"Awwww," Mikeal cooed softly at the two and held up his camera. "They are so going to hate us for this... it's almost too mean to take a picture."

*click FLASH*

"Like I said," Mikeal grinned. "Almost."

"You're awful."

"Humunawha?" Janus scrubbed at his eyes, totally confused. "A..." He looked at what was clinging to him. "A-alice?" He looked up. Mikeal. Aleksandr. Camera?!

"...."

Janus took a deep breath, suddenly very much so awake. "No freaking way." He looked at the men. "Are you serious?" The sentence seemed to anger him. "Are you serious?!"

The boy rolled over and sat up, not even thinking about his rear, which had apparently, just healed. He held Alice tight, afraid she'd react... ah.... ....badly.

"Very," Mikeal held the camera safely in his hands. "Something for Aleks and myself for personal reasons."

Alice half opened her eyes to the flash but took no head of it until she heard Janus.

"No freaking way. Are you serious? Are you serious?!"

'Serious about what?' She rubbed her eyes as she looked groggily at the doorway, making out the two forms of Mikeal and Aleksandr. She could make out something in the man's hand when Janus sat up.

"Serious about what?" She rubbed her eyes sleepily clearly not awake in the less. "What the hell is going on?"

Aleksandr smiled. He'd let Mikeal field this one. It was his idea, after all.

Janus, however, had other ideas. "Our sires decided to take a picture of us... When did you get here, anyway?"

He couldn't believe it. Mikeal had done it again. Treating him like a frigging child. Hadn't they just been over this?

God-dammit!

"They did what?!?" Alice was suddenly very wide awake and glared at them. "You jackasses! Why would you do that?!?"

"Alice, don't swear, and relax you two," Mikeal scolded lightly. "I want to keep a memory of Janus while I have him just as I want a picture of you and Aleks on your first visit here. I want to look back at this when I'm a great great great great great grand Sire and laugh at the memories."

Janus blushed - that took some of the sting out, but it sure was embarrassing. The boy flopped back, covering his face in a pillow. "Mikeallll! You're doing it again!"

Aleksandr shook his head. "They're certainly resilient to correction, aren't they?" The man took a step forward, smiling. "Listen, you two. You're with the people that love you. If you can't relax and take a joke with us, you're going to be two very miserable vampires by the time you leave us..." Alek smirked. "Especially, you, Janus. I hate to break it to you, but your Sire does enjoy this... and you do make a rather cute eight year old."

The boy just groaned.

Alice snicker a bit at Aleks comment about Janus' appearance. He was very cute looking.

"That you are just as Alice makes an adorable five year old," Mikeal added, not willing to let the girl escape the embarassment. "You should have seen her the first she was like this. A real little 'Alice' in pink..."

"MIKEAL!" She yelled blushed red to her roots. "I am not adorable! And it was your bloody fault I was like that!"

"Language, Alice!" Aleksandr reminded. "Or have you forgotten the taste of soap, already?"

Janus pulled the pillow away - his face was beet red, but his frown did shift into something slightly happier when he heard Alice's reaction. "...you know who was adorable?" The boy grinned. "...Mikeal had to learn the spell from someone. I bet Lord Razziel though Mikeal was plenty cute when he got zapped tiny."

To Aleksandr's delight, the boy winked at Mikeal, and smiled like a sunbeam.

Miracle of miracles - the boy could really smile about Razziel.

There was hope after all.

"What language?" Alice gave him a mocking innocent look, feeling the need to tease him light by play the part of a little girl. She laugh though at the memory of the five year old Mikeal sitting in a chair too big for him. "Yeah, Mikeal. You made a vey cute fledgling, although Aleks was really adorable as a three year old."

"Yes.. well, I didn't get to nap with a lovely girl afterwards, now did I?" Mikeal blushed softly at the memory. Lucy had loved it when he was little and behaved. He was fond of the memory but thankful that there were no photos of it. "In fact I recall a certain Sire whom had a thing against boys in his daughters' room, right Aleks?"

A teasing war had offically begun.

"Well, to be frank, Mikeal, it was more that I had a problem with you in my little girl's room." Aleksandr smiled. "In those days, a proper young lady would have had a chaperone - with a club - at her side when she went to meet you. Instead, I was stuck in the other room.... with her hairbrush." The man smiled darkly. "...and believe you me, I was very satisfied when you proved me right."

The man looked down at Janus, deciding he had to keep going. "You haven't met Lady Lucy yet, have you? When Mikeal introduces you, ask her about the corset incident...."

The man started to laugh, ignoring the vengeance Mikeal would want to wreak for bringing that up.
