Aleksandr looked over at Janus, suspiciously.

"Alright... but that wasn't a cup, Alice...." Janus grinned, and shook what she'd poured back into the bag, and handed her the measuring cup. "I'll start measuring the water..." The boy wiggled over to the sink on his tush, holding another measuring cup in his hand.

...he didn't seem to be troublesome.

Ah, who was he kidding. Janus was a good kid.

"...alright. We'll hurry..." Aleksandr snapped his fingers, shifting into street clothing. "Alice? Janus?" While Alice finished measuring, Aleksandr gave Janus a very properly measured death glare that he would have recognized if he'd been old enough to have his first girlfriend. ...he got the message though, as soon as Mikeal explained where they were going.

"Janus, Aleks and I are going to get lunch. I hope you like sushi," Mikeal grabbed his jacket and wallet. "We'll be back in five minutes. Just finish the mix, keep an eye on Alice...."

"Mikeal! I may look five but I'm not!" Alice yelled although it was clear she was more focused on the baking then what he was saying.

"... and don't make too big of a mess," Mikeal contined. "when the mix is done, leave it. I don't want you goofing off with the ovenn, clear? Good."

Alice poured the flour into the bowl and gave an off handed wave towards the door.

"Ah ha, okay. We'll be good. Bye bye Daddy." She called not realizing what she had just said.

Mikeal just grinned at Aleks. "See, loves you more then you know. Now lets go."

Aleksandr smiled widely - the girl had just gotten points with her sire like she wouldn't believe.

"Good bye, love."

The door closed behind them.

"....that girl...." Slightly pink in the cheeks, Aleksandr followed Mikeal out to pick up dinner.

Janus grinned. "Remember, you have to listen to me!" He laughed softly. "Please. Like we're gonna do anything stupid... lets finish this thing up, alright?"

Janus started pouring in the measured water, slowly.

"Awww," Mikeal cooed teasingly as he pressed the lobby botton and looked at Aleks happily. "Do I sense a speck of fatherly pride?"

He ducked from the half hearted cuff Aleks aimed for his head and laughed.

"he can be so sweet when she lets her atittude down can't she?"

Alice looked up at Janus grinning like the Chesshire cat.

"Oh really?"Alice commented behind his back as she gathered a handfull of flour in her hands and held it in front of her. "appearance or not, I'm still older then you."

She waited until janus turned around with the water before blowing the flour into his face. The boy looked stunned for a moment as Alice gave off a musical laugh and held her stomach as she did.

"If you could see your face!" She pointed at him. "You look like a ghost!"

"She can be. ...and that boy of your turns into a different person. You should have seen him that first day. ...I think we got to him early enough Mikeal." His tone was light, but the words stuck. "I..." Aleksandr was aware he'd more or less put his foot in his mouth. "You know what I mean.... I'm just glad he's such a mature young man."

Janus blinked the flour dust out of his eyes in surprise. "Good thing we're done with the mix already... or we might ruin it when I do this!"

The boy grabbed a fistful of flour and pushed it into her little five year old chest, then taking his hand and lightly smearing her cheeks.

"If I look like a ghost, then you're dressed like one, whitey!" Janus said, his teenage laughter transformed into a childish giggle.

"I know what you mean, Aleks. I know.." Mikeal grinned as the two continued on their way.

Alice gave a tiny shriek as she laughed. She looked even more like a ghost due to the white night gown she still wore not that she had realized it was a night gown. She thought it was Aleks' way of helping her bottom cool and though it was just a girl dress.

"Ooohh! You are so going to get it!" she grabbed two handfuls of flour and dumped one down the back of Janus' shirt and the other she smeared into his hair. "Who's the whitey now!"

She smiled happily and laughed, ignorring Lucy's barks for them to stop. She kept her distance as sh, herself, hated baths.

"Hey! Not fair!" The boy laughed, and grabbing another (smaller) handful of flour, took the girl's hand, and poured the white stuff into it - before taking her wrist and gently making her cover herself with the stuff.

"Y'know, you could use this stuff to trick Aleksandr! Next time you get spanked, rub it on your butt - look like you're healed in no time!" The boy laughed, and headed over to the sink for a sponge - he'd need to clean up the floor, after all - they hadn't been able to keep all of the flour on the counter, even though it really looked more like there had been one spill, instead of a war - tiny hands kept it from getting too out of control...

Alice stuck out her tongue as some of the flour had gotten into her mouth. She grimaced at the taste and looked at Janus and grinned. Maybe a little magic could be fun. Looking at he bag, Alice made several balls of flour woddle out of it slowly and head towards Janus when....

*WOOF!*

Lucy was not a fan of magic and quickly barked her dislike of if. However, the sudden bark made Alice jump and her magic focus onsomething else. The ball of flour dropped onto Janus just as the bag gave a loud 'POP' blinding the two in a explosion of white pwoder.

*cough cough*

Alice waved her hand in front of her trying to see. The whole corner that they had been sitting is was covered in flour and then with it.

"Ooookay..." Alice looked at Janus and held up her hands. "I swear that wasn't on purpose."

At lest they had managed to cover the mixture and dough for the snails. Still, what a mess!

*cough cough cough!* "Luucy! Bad dog!"

But Janus was giggling. Making a mess in the kitchen! It was... so wonderfully childish! I mean, yeah, it might be bad.... but it had been alot of fun, not to mention a total accident. As far as the boy knew, Alice had simply been startled by Lucy's bark, and her magic had gone off - that had happened before - the library, for example.

"...." The boy looked around. "We are in sooo much trouble."

The boy looked at his flour-covered self. "Um... everywhere we move we're gonna track flour... so lets... not move... and try to clean everything we can reach, first?

Maybe they'd get rid of the mess... or at least a little of it....

"lets..." Alice did the best she could to scoop the flour in to a pilled. "I wish Aleks would just teach me that undo spell.... then this would be easier..."

They worked in silence, giggling every once in a while when they would move and flour would fall off them like snow.

Like Janus, Alice had found making a mess in the kitchen a wonderful exsperience. It reminded her of the times she would try and bake cookies with ehr mother, keywiord try. Usually when the mix was do, she would eat herself sick before they could be baked.

"You look so silly, Janus." Alice finally giggled at him.

Mikeal and Aleks were however on their way back and entering the elevator, Aleks with one bag in hand and Mikela with two. The order had been large and it was heavy do to Mikeal having ordered two 2L sodas with the meal for Janus and Alice. They were forced to carry it since ikeal was the only vampir in his building so they couldn't risk anyone seeing them.

"When we get to the appartment, could you open the door for me Aleks?" Mikeal huffed as he reagusted the bags. He had taken the heaviest lot since it was his treat and he was being a honest. "Thanks."
