"That's my girl." Aleksandr stroked her hair, and tipped her chin up. "See? You're already being my good Alice again." He kissed her on the forehead. "...you'll see, lovey. A little bit of time in the corner will do you good. I promise, dearheart."

The man sighed. There was a fine line between being the father a five-year-old wanted, and being the father a five-year-old needed. That line grew even thinner when the five-year-old wasn't going to be a five-year-old the next day.

"....What Daddy loves most in the world is his Alice, and he never ever wants to see her get hurt. Whenever Daddy punishes her, its because he knows that she's doing something naughty that, if she does that when she's a bigger girl, she might get hurt. ...so Daddy always watches his little love so he can teach her not to do bad things.... but Daddy does so because he loves her." He kissed the girl's forehead again, and turned her around, letting her apologies and whimpers fall into the corner, instead.

"....Time Out, little Alice. I love you, and I will take you out of Time Out when you are a good girl again."

Aleksandr walked back over to the piano bench to continue writing.

Alice gave a loud whine like the kind a puppy would give first time away from it's mother. She looked at the wall unhappy and hunched over, clearly bored in the short spand of time. She wanted to play or touch things, explored around her with Daddy close of course. It was dark outside and with that Monster she saw before she didn't want Daddy to far away from her. She just... wanted to d things on her own though.

There didn't go long though before the wonderful short term memory of the five year old kicked in and Alice soon forgot completely why she was in the corner on a stool and about the tantrum she had had. She turned around, stay on the stool and looked at Aleks as he played the piano and swung her legs strongly, making her heels hit the wodden seat in a nice rythm.

"What Daddy dowing?" She asked as cocked her head to the side. "Can Alice whelp too?"

The piano fell silent. A;eksandr sighed, as though being torn away from the his music was an injustice of the the highest degree, and looked up at his fledgling with a patient smile.

"There is no talking in Time Out, Alice. You are still in your Cornertime, and you are going to face the corner and be a nice, still, quiet girl until Daddy say so." Aleksandr didn't need much help, anyway - he was writing with a quickness he'd never had before.... he was inspired.

"Turn around little Alice. Your punishment is not over. You still have a lesson to learn.

Alice looked saddly at Aleks and cocked her head to the side. She didn't remember anymore what she had really done wrong. In the child-state-of -mind, Alice only knew she wanted to play with her Daddy and the puppy who was currently sniffing through the music sheets with curiousity.

A long silence pass between the two vampires, Aleks starring calmly at Alice who stared back, her tiny shoes clicking against the stool seat.

"Why?"

Her tiny voice asked. Whether Aleks knew this from her file or not, the 'Why' game was a person favorite of the little girl. she thought it was funny when people got flustered by her constant questioning.

"Because Daddy says so." Aleksandr responded smoothly.

"Why?"

"Because Daddy knows best."

"Why?"

"Because Daddy is smart."

"Why?"

"Because when Daddy was little, he was a good boy who listened to his Daddy - now nose in the corner before I decide to teach a lesson to your bottom instead of your brain, lovey." Aleksandr finished (assuming) that they were finished, his voice still ight and quick, but determined to continue writing, and also determined that Alice's cornertime wasn't up yet.

Alice looked at Aleks and grinned a little. This was getting to be fun pretty fast.

"Why?" She dared to ask once more.

Aleks sighed and looked at his little girl who wsa clearly having a ball with her new game.

"I said nose in the corner, love. You don't want a spanking, do you?"

"No spankwing. Alice no wike spanks. Hwurt."

Alice gapped and shook her head at the threat of a spanking and looked at Aleks as if he had said Christmas had been cancled. Looking dishearted shepopped her thumb back in her mouth and looked at him quietly, the only coming from her was the soft clicking of her heels hitting eachother. Still she didn't turn around and face the corner.

Aleksandr dryly looked at the girl, wishing all of Alice's disbehavior was this 'serious'. "Young lady. Daddy will not repeat himself again. This is why you are in Time Out in the first place - for not listening to Daddy. Now your nose goes in the corner, or your bummy goes over my knee. Is that understood, love?" He scolded, before turning back to his piano, and carefully marking the new score with a few more notes.

Alice sniffed saddly at him but shook he head.

"No wike corner... wonely," She answered softly around her thumb. "Alice don't wike bewing awone."

She sniffed again, looked at Aleks ptifully and used her free hand to point at the stool.

"Alice prowmise to stay here," she asnwered, hoping that Aleks would agree to her tiny comprimise."No corner, plwease? Alice be good."

"If you aren't going to put your nose into the corner, love, you'll need to put something there, hm?" The man was generous to the angry teenager - of course he'd give in to the child.

"You're being punished because you have to listen to Daddy better. If nothing else, you have to try and listen to Daddy. So you put something in that corner, and you keep it there - and I don't want any talking, moving around, or looking around - you keep your eyes on your feet, and don't move an inch." He compromised, not turning away from the music.

Alice nodded her agreement and stilled her feet the best she could and tried to focus on her shoes, and listened to Aleks play about with the keys a bit. There didn't go very long though before she started get antzy and shifted about on the stool, trying to get comfy as quietly as possible. she glanced up to see if Aleks was going to let her out of time out soon. She wanted to play with her Daddy again.
