Nightly Lessons Book I: The Book of Beginnings

"...there's my girl." Aleksandr said, softly, rubbing Alice's back.

"...I understand you were rather naughty for your grandsire, weren't you?" The elder was slowly rocking Alice back and forth, unable to help but picture a little six or seven-year-old in his arms. "...but that's alright. We both forgive you, you know.... you were punished... and you are forgiven..."

The man stood. "...you and I can go down and talk with your grandfather now, and have some blood... would you like that, love?" She was still in his arms, and he was glad for it. He adjusted his grip to make sure her sore body and various lines and sore spots were all untouched.

He bounced the girl softly, waiting for an answer.

Alice practicly curled up in Aleks' hold and held him tight, feeling a pang of guilt and shame over that Aleks knew what she had done. She felt safe and loved in Aleks' arms, she always did, even if it was for a punishment, for once she didn't mind being seventeen and held like she was seven, just knowing and feeling the comfort that Dimitrius had denined her before was enough.

"I'm sorry," She sounded very meek, her one hand reaching down to pull up the rest of her pants and panties. It was a lottle odd but she managed and then looped her arms around Aleks' neck. "yes please..."

She didn't know if Aleks knew about her being caned. After all, he hadn't said anything, so if was a fifty fifty chance.

Unwilling to really be set down, Alice curled tighter to Aleks while Klo shook himself awake and yawned at Aleks. He clearly wasn't fully awake or rested yet, and still he somehow woddled off the bed and over to Aleks, nuzzling his head against the elders legs.

"Can.... can I stay here?" Alice whimpered into Aleks neck. She mostly wanted to be held. "Please?"

"I'm not going to leave you, love... but you really do need some blood." He stroked the girl's hair, smiling. "...besides, I believe your grandfather wants to give you a hug as well... after that punishment he gave you, he wants to make sure you're alright. ...but we can walk down to the kitchen nice and slowly... and I won't let go of you.... I promise."

Behind the door, Dimitrius shuddered and vanished, a small smile playing on his lips, as he teleported to the kitchen. Secrecy and intrigue.

Ah, youth.

Keeping Alice in his arms, Aleksandr slowly strode out of the room. "...talk to me, love. Tell me all about your day..."

Alice gave a little hic up as she nodded in agreement. he idea of blood, despite her distaste for it, was a rather promising one in the moment. That and to say sorry to Dimitrius about the door. She had after all have a reasonably fun time with him, the touring of the house, seeing the 'heart' of the Rastline house, even the short game of chess they had played.

"O-okay," She sniffled as Aleks calmly walked out the door still cradling her in his arms. Klo gave a miffled growl of discontent as he had just been getting ready to sleep on Aleks' shoe and now had to trot after the two. "My day? well..."

She started slowly, telling his about seeing his old room,a few stories Dimitrius had shared about his fledlinghood, about the study (although she felt out the book and caning that followed). She was a little more lively about the fencing lesson she had had, telling Aleks about how Dimitrius had said she had improved greatly since the first lesson, and that they had even spared. Even if she knew he had only let her land a few hits to keep her encouraged to keep fencing, she was after all still young and had only just begun to fence, Alice couldn't help but smile when she told Aleks about that two spares she had won against Dimitrius. True he won five more then her, but that didn't matter. She was about to tell him about the chess game when they reached the kitchen to find Dimitrius calmly waiting for them with three goblets filled with blood, two of them laced with an exspencive port, the other with cranberry juice.

Alcie looking oddly at her Gradsire as Aleks set her down onto her feet, allowing her to decide if she wanted to sooth any worries she had between herself and Dimitrius. It didn't take too much encouragement. All Dimitrius had to was stand up and open his arms a little before he found the young girl tackling him in a hug as she started to cry.

"I'm sorry!" She called muffled into Dimitrius' shirt "I didn't mena it! I'm sorry!"

"Now, now.... Miss Alice... you know you are forgiven..."

Dimitrius was firmly patting the girl's shoulder, hugging her with one arm. He looked at Aleksandr, smiling weakly. Children. In their heart of hearts, sometimes, they really were just children, whether sixteen or one-hundred and sixteen.

"You know you are forgiven... and you will continue to be forgiven...." The elder assured, as Aleksandr walked up to the tightly-clutched pair. "...and it looks as though Aleksi has forgiven you as well."

Aleksandr gave a quiet smile, putting a hand on Alice's free shoulder. "...I think we may have a change in her schedule for a few days... a bit more magic, and a bit less of something else.... just to remind her how important... and dangerous... magic can be... but yes, she is forigven. Most certainly and totally forgiven."

Alice calmed a little more as Dimitrius patted her shoulder and backed a little away whipping her eyes. No matter how many times the two would tell her that after a punishment she was forgiven, it still felt important to hear them say so. She gingerly took the goblet of blood and moved to sit, only to rise up again with a wince. Her rear was still fairly tender.

"A bit less something else..." She looked at her reflection in the blood and sighed. She really wanted to say there wasn't a need to lengthen her magic lessons but given her possision she didn't dare voice it. Not with Dimitrius standing in ear shot. "Yes sires..."


She felt a sudden rubbing against the side of her leg and noticed Vangi's right head rubbing against her to comfort as well. "She reached down a hand and patted the dragon, scratching it under the chin.

"It may not be pleasant for her, but she certainly is a polite little lady afterwards, isn't she, Aleksi?" Dimitrius chortled.

Aleksandr pulled the girl into his arms, leaving her room for her drink, and held her softly. "...I suppose so, Sire." Aleksandr admitted. "...she has had some of her best moments after a good spanking to clear her mind..." He rocked the blushing girl, knowing he was embarrassing her. "...but, to tell truth, they only do so because they bring her back to us. To our time. To the way we are teaching her to be. ...our Alice is a very good girl, Sire... it is simply these rude times that have effected her..."

Dimitrius raised his glass in agreement, but said nothing.

Alice set the goblet down and turned into Aleks' hold, hidding her face and embarassment. No one liked hearing that they had to get spanked to be good or proper. The caning at hurt after all, something she never wanted to experience again.

She would have laughed if she hadn't been punished with the eight lashes to her bottom and thighs. Aleks sounded just like a father protecting his daughters name where as Dimitrius was the typical grandfather, at lest she was guessing so.

"How was Lucy by the way?" She was hoping to change to topic off herself. Who knew, it might distract Aleks for a little bit as well as Dimitrius. "You and her share some fond memories?"

Aleksandr was exceptionally glad that Alice couldn't see his face right now, as he blushed.

"Oh my, yes." He assured her, looking away from his Sire. "....we caught up on old times. It was... very nice." The man bit down on his lip, trying to keep a serious face. Talking, the pair had done less than most of everything else. They'd had a lengthy 'discussion' with Lucy's old cat-of-nine-tails, and a little bit of pillow talk, as it were, but talking hadn't been the focal point of Aleksandr's night.

Not in the least.

"Miss Fairbrook, you mean?" Dimitrius grinned knowingly at Aleksandr. "...have you told Alice about your time in Vienna yet, Aleksi?"

Alice's head nodded a little as shse turned to look at Dimitrius, the blood finally allowing her to heal the tenderness in her rump. She inched a hand lightly down and rubbed the sore flesh a little before answering.

"He's told me bits. That he and Lucy had been wilder back then," Alice explained. She still styed close to Aleks, her mood improving but not enough to step away from her father. "He said you made them clean up after themselves when you found out."
