Wilson got up as soon as April gave him the permission to do that.

She stayed there, observing his reaction, and actually feeling a little guilty about the young boy's pain. But she knew that that was the right way to deal with the issue, after months of useless scoldings, so she forced herself to keep a really serious expression upon her face.
-Sure, you can.- she answered at his question, nodding -Go on, quickly. Then we will go downstairs together.- April added, reaching for the door and opening it with the key.
After that, she just waited for him to get ready to face the others teachers and his classmates.

Wilson nodded and rushed into the bathroom. He washed his face, noticing in the mirror how aweful he looked: everyone would have known that he cried.
He sighed, feeling everything but hungry in that moment; he didn't expect a hug, or comfort of any kind, since his parents never did things like that.
The boy reached his teacher and followed her downstairs keeping his face down, and looking mostly at the floor.

Some students were whispering and giggling behind his back, as they went towards the dining room with the others.

Logan saw them and snarled, making them shut up.

The boy looked very sad.

He went closer to April and whispered:

"I think you overdid it, honey."
