Sel carried Devian to the room he had booked for the night and dropped her on the bed. "Do you remember the contract now?" He asked smugly. He was unsure how to deal with her defiant attitude for an entire journey, so he figured he would need to take care of this problem now.

"What contract?!" she snapped. Devian was on the verge of baring fangs at him. She didn't care for the smugness in his demeanor and being dropped on his bed was an added bonus to her great displeasure. She turned to see the door, wondering if she could make it out before Sel had the chance to snag her. He just had to get out of the way of the path to said door for her to even make the attempt.

Sel sighed in frustration. "I know that the council contacted you for this mission and you accepted. I have receipt of a signed note delivered from the courier. Devian thought for a moment. She didn't understand at all. When did she sign this supposed contract? She thought of all the people she came into contact with during her travels. She didn't recall any notes passed...wait...
There was one single article given to her. The distributor rambled on and on about a request of some sort. Devian didn't take anything the man said to heart. Instead, she demanded that he hurried up and move on so she could deal with her business. Without reading the stupid paper, she signed it without any second thought. Crap...

Devian stared at Sel, finding the last part a threat. "Tough? How so? You planning to kill me or something? Many have told me that one before and I still live. I guarantee you it'll be the same result this time too."

Devian arched her brow at that bit of information. He was in her dept? Just how serious was this stupid contract he kept going and on about, she wondered silently to herself. She jumped a bit at his sudden touch, but didn't really pull away from it out of curiosity. That curiosity died down in an instant when being placed over Sel's knees. "H-Hey, what are you-AH!" Devian yelled out in surprise more than pain. "StAHP!" she shouted at him while kicking about.
