It is not really censorship but the opposite of it, protecting author rights. Let's say I write a series of books about wizard detective called Harry Dresden, who has the dog named Mouse and a policewoman friend called Murphy etc, name them "Dresden files unlimited" and publish them on amazon. I earn money with every sale, of course.
Well, Jim Butcher, the famous author of "The Dresden files" series of books has every right to sue my copyright-breaching ass and make me take the books down and pay him. And no matter how many times I tell the court "But my Harry is blonde like John Constantine and has lightning shaped scar like Harry Potter" I'll still lose. Because I tried to earn money on fanfiction by doing a copyright violation (multiple violations of multiple copyrights, in fact). You might even call it a knockoff scam product.
Now, let's say I'm a lazy bum who knows something about programming but suck as a writer. I make a program that mixes and matches paragraphs from "The Dresden files" (there's over 20 books so a lot of material) when given a prompt like "Harry Dresden fights vampires" then publish the shitty result. Jim the real author and copyright holder could literally quote whole paragraphs in front of judge to prove I did that.
Now, let's take it a step further. I don't sell books on amazon. I sell the "mix and match" program I made on Google Playstore. It's still a copyright violation. Because Jim certainly didn't consent to somebody using his books to "train" AI to do copyright violations on demand for customers' amusement.
