Original Ideas
Posting a couple of rubbish original ideas, so if anybody is interested in the following, feel free to respond via PM, or my Discord is Mello#6588 -
I had an idea for a group of wizards/mages – there are three main types of mage: White (who deal in white magic), Black (who deal in black magic), Gray (who are able to manipulate both and are extremely rare). Black and White mages cannot realise their true capacity without being paired with another juxtaposing mage due to the fact that the greater amount of magic they use, the more they will succumb to darkness/turn into light/energy. So, for a black mage to use a huge amount of dark magic, or use a strong dark spell or summon a mythical beast, they need to have the darkness ‘nullified’ by their white mage partner/colleague. And the same goes for white mages. I figure that these mages have various duties to the world’s populace and said significance of these tasks depend on the individual’s magic/power capacity. Therefore, there will be some who have to assure that crops have the right amount of life and nurture, or keep demon doors closed, and others that help keep sovereign’s clothing and armour vaults pristine, or others tasked with helping villagers with menial tasks or attempting to improve quality of life, or just sorting out monsters. Basically, they would help maintain order in the world. But due to this, said mages are treated as tools mostly, or viewed as being owned by the monarch/land in general, therefore they keep to themselves. Mages are rare and when found, they are packed off to the mountain/forests where the mages reside for training. A fledgeling mage could be in their 50s when they first find their craft, so age doesn’t matter~!
Witches are very rare, just as grey mages, and have largely stopped practicing their craft.

I was thinking about a cute idea with humans with animal features/anthropomorphised animals. In a quintessential English town/village. Just a slice of life kind of thing. I enjoy the idea of a cute/hot-blooded city boy dog being sent to the town for some reason or other (like… he is too energetic for the city and needs wide open spaces to try and settle/tame him), and is sent to be cared for by some highborn cat or something or other who is very reserved and such. Just fluffy, fun hijinks and bringing people out of their shells (or fur?).
Again, if anybody is interested, etc, etc…!
