Caldwell sighed as he searched around for his charge. He had been tasked with assigning the girl to an academy to further her study of magic, though at times it was hard to keep track of where she was. He was sure she hadn’t just run off, assuming that she most likely just woke up early and went to eat, or just enjoy the view of her new home, but he could never really know.

“Where is that girl?” he muttered to himself as he continued looking around the estate. He felt he was close to spotting her soon so his search continued.

Alyn still wasn´t used to being under the supervision of a paladin of a holy order. Normally girls her age were about to get ready for marriage, but she would spend time in an academy to master the arcane arts. She felt special in a way, but also that she did not really belong. Thus she enjoyed normal things like going to the market or making breakfast as she was doing now. "Hey, Caldwell!", she called from the kitchen,"Want to tell me more about live at the academy while we eat? I´ve made your favourite, eggs and ham sandwiches." This house was amazing, too. Probably loaned to the order by some rich merchant. But she did not understand much about economics, or so she mused as she continued stirring some gruel. "How much longer will we stay here? While its nice it´ll feel better to be on the road again...I finally want to see the Academy.", Alyn said, thinking out loud.

The man almost thought he’d never find the girl before he finally came into the kitchen to see her cooking away. Well at least she seemed happy to do so. “Yes, thank you,” he responded as he pulled up at seat. “We’ll be leaving in a moment, today is our last day here.” He smiled a little at her excitement about joining the academy and decided to answer her first question. “Life at the academy is different for everyone Alyn, who knows what awaits you there? I can tell you this though, studying is key to success there. That and overall simply trying hard. Your professors will want the best from you, as will I.”

"Oh, I wasn´t aware.", she said, a bit suprised that they´d be leaving today. While she was looking forward to the academy living here in the big house had become somewhat of an routine.
"Will you continue to be my guardian, or is it goodbye?", Alyn asked while sitting down after placing the finished breakfast on the table. "I promise I will study hard.", she added...and she meant it, altough over time it could get exhausting.
