I've updated the link to a new version with a minor bugfix concerning patron selection in the game.
Concerning the save issues I'm not sure why it doesn't work properly for a lot of people. Works fine on my own devices. Maybe I have to scrap the current save system and implement my own for the next version.

If you just make a save folder and have it be the default when saving, I think it would be enough for people to never have problems again.

Hello, I'm still getting a bug during patron selection. like when I choose water or darkness, all of them still go to the fire patron.

I don't think that would solve the problem for everyone, based on the feedback I am getting.
I'm going to look into it more in the next few weeks when I have time.

It should work now in the current version 0.0.2.1.
As a workaround you can also try to use the Quickstart option from the main menu. That worked even in the original 0.0.2

On hold for the moment. Though I have been thinking about maybe merging it into this game as a side activity.

For me, the game can create a save file anywhere, except the game folder or any subfolders of it (I'm on win10). Maybe this is some kind of weird access issue, like "the folder is being accessed by the game so you can't write in it".

I've encountered a bug where the options on the screen disappear (or become invisible).





This happens when I try to start the midwinter feast or the shapeshifting and augmentation. It seems like the game freezes first (cause clicks won't to anything) and after a few seconds the buttons become available again (still invisible though) except for the one you clicked, cause I can leave after a few seconds when I try to start the feast and I can click on train reflexes or leave after a few seconds when I try to start the shapeshifting lesson. Very confusing.

I've uploaded a new version with various fixes and optimizations based on the issues people have reported so far.
It also includes a new slot based save system.


I would appreciate it to get some feedback about if this helps people who were having issues with the old system.

- New slot based save system
- Selecting a different patron in the patron selection event, should now reset all existing affinity points for other patrons to zero, so you don't get locked into a patron you don't want
- Fixed an issue where some events wouldn't load correctly because they where set to the wrong location.
- Locked gallery entries can no longer be opened by simply clicking on them
- Fixed some interface errors like the gallery screen saying Settings in the header or the save button registering clicks at the wrong position
- Click and hover sounds now play when you hover over or click on an interactive object like a button
- Interface sounds like click and hover can now be adjusted and turned off in the settings, alongside music and sound effects
- Several smaller fixes throughout the game
