Some Pennies Never Learn (Madcat & Jaden Yucky)

Sairina sniffled, rubbing her bottom, nose scrunched as it usually was after the morning spanking. No matter how many times it happened, she never got used to them.

When she thought she could manage it, she took her seat at the table and began to eat her breakfast. At least she wasn't so sore that sitting was a major problem.

"Take it off in the bathroom, please," said Sean with a chuckle, "The breakfast table is not the place to be showing off your war-wounds!"

Kira scooted Koto off to the bathroom to have a look at the injury before replacing the bandage.

Lucia already had breakfast set out and had eaten her own already. She never ate much herself; just enough to not get sick from under-eating. She resumed reading her book, patiently waiting for Sairina to get ready for school.

Koto giggled a bit at her Daddy's comments before she was taken to the bathroom. Her arm was almost fully healed, but still tender. Her hand was still fairly hurt-looking, but it didn't hurt nearly as much as the previous day. Koto winced as it was rebandaged, but that was more habitual than an actual reaction. "At least it doesn't look awful anymore.." She said with a shudder.

Sairina ate fairly quickly, as she always did. Whenever she was asked about the habit, she would just shrug and say she'd taste it later. Once she was finished, she asked to be excused, though the words had been repeated so often that they were more a mantra, bereft of meaning.

Kira carefully washed Koto's hand clean before applying a bit of nanolotion to help speed the healing process, and then wrapped it in fresh gauze. It seemed to be healing just fine, and Kira didn't see any blistering or other signs of a more-serious burn.

"Right!" she said, "I think you'll be good as new in the next day or two. After that, just put some aloe on it for a couple days to be sure." She pointed at the bottle on the bathroom counter, filled with a green, bubbled gel.

"Better go get ready for school, we'll have to leave soon!"

Lucia waved her off after she excused herself. She didn't mind as long as she actually said it, since she wasn't in trouble. If Sairina was in trouble, she'd make her repeat herself until she meant it, or at least sounded like she meant it. House rules, Lucia loved them. Well.. loved to hate them. Lucia herself was already ready to leave, so she waited on her sister.

Koto winced as her hand was cleaned, but relaxed as it was bandaged back up. At her Mommy's instruction to finish getting ready, Koto nodded and went off to her room and gathered things into her schoolbag. Once she was done, she went back downstairs to get her shoes on.

Sairina was dressed and ready soon enough in her school uniform, bookbag over her shoulder. She came back downstairs to meet Lucia at the door.

Once Koto was ready, Sean grabbed his car fob and pointed it at the window in the front room, the car's electric engine whirring to life. "Ready to go, kiddo?"

Lucia sighed, going to her motorcycle. It had a second seat, so it was legal for Sairina to ride with her. She'd take the extra car, but she needed to fix it. Lucia's plan was to drop her sister off, then return to fix the car. The teen could afford to miss her first few periods since she was already done with those classes. She got on the motorcycle and handed Sairina the second helmet before putting her own on.

Koto nodded at Sean's question, standing with a soft groan as she stretched. She got in the backseat, buckling herself in and glancing out the window.

Sairina dutifully buckled the helmet into place, climbing aboard the bike behind her sister. She thought this was a bit odd, though this was not the first time they'd done this. The car must be broken again, she thought to herself.

Sean drove the fairly short distance to the school through morning traffic. Busy, as usual, but moving quickly for its volume. Pretty soon, they arrived at the school, waiting in line for only a few minutes before he pulled up to the curb and thumbed the panel switch that unlocked the doors.

"Have a good day at school, honey!" he called. Unlike Kira, he wasn't going to embarass her with the hugs and kisses. Dads were different like that.

Lucia rode carefully, using a couple shortcuts to get Sairina to school. She soon pulled up, and stopped at the sidewalk. "Have a good time." She said, waiting before Sairina was on the sidewalk before driving off.

Koto waved to her dad before heading toward the school. She still had some time before class, so she stood outside and leaned against the wall, looking at the sky with her odd-colored eyes.

Sairina hung the helmet by its strap on the back of the bike and nodded her farewell as she turned and headed into the school, hefting her bookbag onto her shoulder. Just as she was not fond of the morning spankings, she wasn't particularly fond of the school, either. Still, it beat sitting around at home all day, she supposed.

Sean kissed Koto on the cheek as she got out of the car. "Have a good day at school, honey!" he said before she closed the door. Once she was safely away, he waved goodbye before heading back home again, to get his own day started.

Koto walked through the school doors, her eyes darting around. She was new, but hoped it wouldn't be obvious as she found her way to her locker. She had memorized the number so it would look like she knew where she was going; she did the same with her classroom and other areas. Once everything that needed to be in her locker was there, she began to walk to her classroom, hoping to sit either in the front or middle.
