Sam flinched a little when she heard Finn call her aunt Sam, she really didn't care for it. She let it go for the moment then thought for a moment before saying ,"OK," and turning toward the play area and walking. She waited until they were out of ear shot and slowed down enough so that Finn was walking next to her. Looking off to the other side she said, "look could you knock off all that aunt stuff, I don't like it. I'd rather you just call me Sam." Not the greatest way of starting a conversation but when she didn't like something she tended to be pretty vocal about it when she could.

Finn followed her timidly and went to the playground with her. He had been here before since his mom often took the boy to see Diana. He knew the way around the house better than Sam did, he was sure.

Her words froze the child dead in his track. He immediately turned around and pulled his collar. "Sowwy, aunt Sam. But I hafta call you that, it's traditional." Sam smiled, she said things like that to amuse herself, if it made someone else laugh that was just a bonus. "Anyway don't worry about it, I'll talk to mommy about it later. She might see it my way." Sam wasn't completely sure about that, but surely it couldn't hurt. " OK let's go play then while we can," she said continuing to the play area.

Finn gave a big nod and flashed a toothy grin. "Let's go then!" He said happily, leading the girl around the monkey bars and jumping on the bouncy surface to show that they won't get hurt. "Except when you fall on your bum." He said very seriously, rubbing his bottom.

Sam followed and to her own surprise actually enjoyed playing. In fact it seemed all to soon when their playtime was over and Finn and Ashley had to go. Then it was time for dinner, Sam asking for a second helping. Playing had built up her appetite. After which Her mommy gave her a bath. She didn't really like being bathed, but wasn't about to risk upsetting her mommy again. Right before bed, as promised, Sam spent some time with Diana's belt then cried herself to sleep.

The next morning Sam opened her eyes. She sat up into a shaft of light streaming in through the window and tried to rub the sleep from her eyes. "Mommy!" she said loud enough from the intercom to pick it up. She didn't want to get out of bed without Diana's permission. Instead she just scooted up to the edge of the bed and waited.

Diana spent the day playing and bonding with her girl. She got a bath, a nice hot dinner and even watched a cartoon before her bedtime strapping which was delivered hard enough for her to feel it. Diana snuggled next to her as she cried to sleep in her arms.

The next day, the young mother heard her intercom and smiled as she we t to her daughter's room. "Morning little one, had a nice nap?" She bent down to kiss her tip of the nose.
