Time has passed since the colonisation of the New World and the treaty to end war from England; this land was surely the main target for events, especially for what was going to occur soon. A newcomer was sighted, though in a secret area under the shade of a weeping willow. He wore the basic robe but one that was more like a vest and he wore the tattered brown pants, almost like they were makeshift and made from deer skin.

“The New World…what’s so new about it?” He somewhat felt that there was something magical inside it…

Rhei looks both ways, startled by the sudden answer.
“Hmm?! Who’s there? I’ve just arrived…!” he called out. Currently, he was standing on a giant tree stump, where he was looking up in the air.

“WHOA!!” then he fell off, landing into the water below, which soaked his customised robe and breeches. “Aww… great, now I’m all wet…!” Luckily he could wade and tried to stand. “Hey, whoever is out there, you should have seen that! That tree looked that it had a face!”

"You have one too, don't you?" The branches of the willow tree lifted him out of the water and put him on the stump again. "You better take those wet clothes off before you catch a cold. By the way, my name is not 'tree' it is Grandmother Willow."

“Well, yes. Because I’m a human…” he froze upon the action from the branches which raised him out of the water like a rag doll. “Wow…” Sitting upon the stump and water dripping from his boots, he tried to take one of them off to release the liquid.
“Uhm… Grandmother Willow…? Willow?” He put two and two together, looking forward into those hollow eyes…
“… OH… uh, hello!” He eased back, not knowing what exactly to say towards a tree, even feeling highly awkward and surprised.

Grandmother Willow's face appeared again and stayed this time. "What you should say is: Goodmorning Grandmother Willow, how are you today." She said with a smile. "But I guess you are a bit startled, normally trees don't talk. "Now how might you be?"

Rhei blinked but remained calm, or at least tried to.
“My my my… an actual talking tree. Right in front of me.” He never witnessed one before seeing how he had talking animals back in his hometown.
“Oh. I’m well, for the most part. My name is Rhei. I’ve just arrived here, I’ve heard it’s a place called the New World or something like that…”

"To some it will be new." Grandmother Willow said. "But you aren't doing what I told you, get those wet clothes off." She scolded and one of her branches gave him a firm pat on the bottom to motivate him.
