Violet pressed a hand to her cheek as she stared flatly out of the window. Why did she have to go to this stupid school? Why couldn't she go to a closer one - or better yet, none at all? She couldn't wait to be an adult and go out into the world by herself.

The girls that sat near Violet continued to talk amongst themselves before deciding that she was a bit weird before resuming their own conversation. They wouldn’t have much longer as they were driven to the local Pokémon academy, the gate welcoming them in decorated with statues of Pokémon that lead to the giant futuristic looking building
Meanwhile, Misty soon returned home to find the house was empty as Ash had to leave to go get something. Shrugging her shoulders, Misty kicked her shoes off and sat on the couch with her bare feet on the coffee table, wiggling her toes in the breeze

Violet glared irritably up at what she considered a prison as the bus pulled up in front of it. Not long after, children left the bus in waves, a chatter of excitement going through the air. Violet waited until everyone else had left before she exited the bus herself.
She was not here to make friends. She wasn't interested in making friends. She was here simply to get through the day and, a few years from now, graduate. Or get expelled. Whichever came first. The raven-haired child stood away from the group she had arrived at, arms crossed tightly in an attempt to ward everyone off.
Delia hummed happily to herself as she walked up the porch to her son and daughter-in-law's house. She knocked on the door and waited. She did have a key and could easily let herself in, but she considered that to be rude.

As the group piled off the boss, a majority of them walked together as there were spots outside the school to check in and retrieve the room numbers. They did not have to worry about carrying their heavy bags and luggage to their room as they had various Pokémon to help with the heavy lifting including the Machop line. There would various points for her to chose to check in to receive her room information
Misty was just about to relax when she heard a doorbell and let out a sigh. Standing up, she walk to the front door and opened it with a smile. “Hey! How can I help you!” She said as she saw the familiar figure, giving her space so she can walk in

Each spot had lines, so Violet chose the one with the shortest line. The quicker she could get to her room, the better. Her behind was aching, and her mind was already over this. As the line slowly dwindled, Violet kept her arms crossed. Lines were an easy place for someone to want to strike up a conversation.
"Good morning, Misty," Delia cheerfully greeted as she stepped in. "I just came over to see Violet off." The silence of the house gave Delia pause. "Oh. She's already gone, hasn't she?"

Soon Violet would reach the front of the line and she would be face to face with a grouchy old woman with large glasses, grey hair in a bun and a fancy looking dress as she had what looked like a permanent scowl on her face. “Name?” She said as she typed something into her Rotom laptop.
“I guess so, I just got back too.” Misty said simply as she plopped back on the couch and placed her bare feet on the coffee table as she relaxed and let out a small yawn

"Violet Ketchum," said the young girl with a roll of her eyes. She pointedly looked away from the old woman as though she wasn't even there.
Delia stared at the woman. "You mean - you weren't here to see her off to school?" She held back a remark about Misty's bare feet on the coffee table. It was hard not to overstep in her son's house.

The woman continued to type into the laptop before handing her a numbered envelope that displays her room number with a key in it. “All of your class information will be sent to your Rotom phone. The dorms are down the hall.” She said, not looking up from her work. “Next!”
“No, I was out and they were gone when I came back.” Misty said nonchalantly as she wiggled the toes of her dirty bare feet as she relaxed on the couch

Violet snatched the envelope and glanced at the number—125. She groaned out loud. Hopefully, that did not mean that she was in for a long trek to her room. She pushed past the throngs of students and hurried down the halls.
She wished she wasn't bunking with someone. That might just be the straw to break the camel's break.
As she passed the classrooms, Violet stole a quick look inside them. Standard, normal classrooms. Boring. You'd think a school like this would at least liven things up a bit, but no. Apparently, it was a universal rule for schools to suck the life out of everything.
Violet eventually reached her room, took the key out, and unlocked it. She opened the door, her stomach tying itself into a hundred knots.
"... And that doesn't bother you?" Delia said. "It doesn't bother you that you didn't say bye to your daughter?"

The rest of the nearby students walked along the halls, some talking amongst themselves and some heading to get something to eat or go to their room.
Inside Violets room she would have the most unfortunate surprise. While the room was very big, there were two bed on different sides of the room, two desks and chairs, two dressers and two closets on each side of the room. There was a small hallway that led to the bathroom and the beds are easily able to attach into bunk beds if desired.
But in the room was not just a roommate but a guy that looked around her age. He was about the same height as her, sporting short black hair, pimples on his face, a bit heavy looking for his size and he was helping to fix the hammer for Tinkatink. The pink teary eyed Pokémon was his starter Pokémon as if you already had a Pokémon, you were allowed to bring it. He had on a blue sweat shirt and matching blue sweatpants and his white socks were visible. Hearing the door open, he looked “Oh… can I help you?”
“I mean, she already left, there’s nothing I can do.” Misty said as she clearly didn’t seem bothered as she relaxed. “I was planning on calling her later.”
