Dawn gave Cynthia an unamused look. "I mean, do you really blame me for not wanting to own up to accidentally buying a brand of sunscreen that attracts Combee? Do you know what it's like having Combee cover every inch of your skin? Even if they're friendly, being swarmed by bees is terrifying."

"Right... and you made sure I didn't make that mistake again," Dawn sighed. She stretched and sprawled out on Cynthia's lap. She was still in her pajamas, and didn't feel like getting dressed yet. "So. What do we have planned for today? Hopefully nothing training-related given that it's your day off."

"I did too," she admitted, resting her chin on Cynthia's shoulder. Being apart from Cynthia had never been easy for her, but it was far worse now that they were together. The days went slowly, and there was an inescapable sense of boredom that just didn't go away when they were apart. She raised her face and pecked Cynthia on the lips. "Relaxing with you sounds like a plan to me."

Dawn laughed as her face was licked by Poochyena and her hands were nuzzled by Purrloin. "Okay, guys, okay. We'll take you out to pick some berries. If we get enough, maybe we can bake a pie. Cynthia, do you know where the baskets are?" She got Poochyena onto one shoulder, and Purrloin onto the other. Shinx, jealous, hopped into her arms and demanded to be carried.
