Problem Reporting This section is for Forum problems, do you have an issue with something? code errors? content issues? post your concerns here and we the staff will address these concerns and also have a permanant record of them which also means its easier to remember when working on the site (note: users will only be able to see their own threads and reply to them, staff can see all, also all posts are moderated and will appear once we are dealing with them) |
Want to get rid of the annoying adverts? The answer is simple. There are 4 levels of advertising on AnimeOTK:
Level 1: (Your Level, guests and members with 0-9 posts) has maximum advertising.
Level 2: (A user with 10 or more posts who has been a member over two weeks) have vastly reduced advertising (including removal of the large full screen closable adverts)
Level 3: (A member who has been registered over a month and has over 50 posts, or has a special account like "artist" or "writer" sees minimal advertising.
Level 4: (VIP Donators) receive no advertising.
All donators of $10 or more will never see an advert on our site again!

Something is possibly a virus
Hey Animeotk, I been having issues, I keep getting random cmd prompts that play a little message "1 file copied, 1 file copied, 1 file copied," The only thing that would be creepier is if Dennis' face saying "You didn't say the magic word!"
Anyway I don't download a lot from websites, I remember downloading secondlife, steam, an art program, and also from animeotk Now I had my laptop cleaned the guys at the tech place stated "We didn't find much on it".
I did restore it to its factory settings, but I was told there is no guarantee that it'll work.
Has anyone else who dowloads from animeotk had the same problem?
Any chance it could be something from animeotk?

this sort of thing wouldnt be from here, there have been no other reports of such issues.. its likely you got it elsewhere tho its hard to pin down where these days, only thing you can do is find out whats causing it and make sure your virus software is completely up to date or get better virus protection.

I would but I don't trust google search any more. Tried downloading skype once, thought I was on a legit site, ended up downloading crap on my computer. I was warned by the tech guys to use caution when using google to find downloads.
The CMD thing came back recently "1 file copied 1 file compied" after i downloaded an HP update

as long as you were on the skype website l dont know how you could have downloaded spyware/viruses.. l use google all the time to look for apps, then run virus scans on those from less well known sites..
as for that cmd window, going by what you have said it looks like part of a HP update process, funny thing is lve noticed it as well, but l guess thats because lve just just ran some updates on my HP Laptop.

Well I went onto this fake skype site years ago, to this day I am not computer savvy, computers are evolving as fast as the universe is expanding it seems sometimes .
When I search this CMD all I got were warnings of possible malware and stuff :S
