Katie grabbed the scrolls and looked through them unsure of what to choose. There were several ones that seemed hard. She chose one about killing a giant, but the giant was near a place that was last spotted near a dragon, which is why she chose it.

“Let’s go slay a giant,” Katie said handing him the scroll. “We will split the reward,” She said as she started to move in the direction of the quest.

Mataus nodded and returned the scrolls to his pack. It was going to be a tough assignment, killing giants was always tricky. For the most part, he left them alone, unless he had a bounty to fulfil. In any case, they were handy to lead enemies into, than all he had to do was stand back and watch the carnage.

"Very well. Any animal parts or hides you need? I was planning to hunt along the way."

“Hmmmm... not really. I have all the clothes I need, but I’ll help hunt for food. It’s cheaper to hunt it along the way,” Katie said. She knew this mission would be pretty hard, especially if a dragon showed up, but the man didn’t need to know that part. Also, the money would be really nice. It would be enough to get into an inn for a while.

Mataus nodded as he unsheaved his sword and settled his shield onto his arm. He would be interested to see this girl's combat ability.

"Very well, lead the way."

Katie walked with the man outside of the city they were on. “You have a horse it’s much faster by horse. I have this one,” She said pointing towards it. This had been her horse for quite a few years.
Even before her parents had left her.

Mataus shook his head.

"I have never owned a horse myself. I never saw the need for one. However, if I am to keep up with you, I need to buy one. Can you wait for a little while?"

Katie glared at the man surprised her never had a horse. “How do you get anywhere at a decent speed? I’m little my legs aren’t as big as yours you know. Yeah, buy a horse,” Katie said with sarcasm. This one she had was actually not stolen though as she had received it as a gift for saving people.

Katie sighed as he proably used teleportation most likely Though that magic was almost impossible to master and would be quite impressed with anyone that could master it at all.

After considering for a while, Mataus chose a speedy bay horse. He had been attracted by the horse's clear grumpy personality. Leading the horse back to Katie, he chuckled and dodged a half-hearted shove. He grinned and said:

"I'll call this one Weyon, after my former commander. Certainly has his temper!"
